Thank you, Jillian, for crying for me too. I always feel cold watching a video like this because I have very few tears. I knew that Chris had left Home Free about the same time, so I felt that emotion of him leaving too. But Chris went on to do good things, which sometimes is “the road less traveled”. Great reaction on a wonderful song. I thought this would be it for 2023, but now I have one more song to anticipate. I’m pretty sure that I know what it is, and I love it! See you on Sunday!

Ninja - never feel embarrassed by the tears. She was an important part of your life and you miss her! Totally understandable. Home Free has a song called Warmest Winter. Austin wrote it about his grandmother who passed away and the memories of her at Christmas. It is a beautiful song but it makes me cry every time, reminding me of my mom and memories of Christmas with her. She has been gone 5 years now and I still miss her. She loved Christmas and she would have adored Home Free (especially Tim's bass) Every day the hurt will get a little less but it never truly goes away. I just fill the hurt spots in my heart with the memories that make me smile. ❤

This song gets me every time. And listening to it now, after my grandpa passed away...phew! You weren't the only one crying, Jillian🫂 And please, never feel embarrassed by showing your emotions, that's what makes us human - the laughter and the tears.💕
Two things I absolutely love about this video: Adam and Chris singing together is beautiful; and the very end where Chris stops singing and leaves the four boys who continue singing when he walks into the sunset, that's powerful.

Yes, this is a song that is sung at funerals. I lost my husband of 40 years in 2014. This was my 9th Christmas season without him. This coming January 26th would have been our 50th wedding anniversary. We were both looking forward to reaching that milestone. Almost everything, this song included, brings me to tears because everything reminds me of him. I'm sorry to hear that your Mom passed away recently Jillian. My thoughts and prayers are with you. P.S. You are not an ugly crier and you never need to apologize for showing your emotions. We are here for you.

Chris wrote this for a friend who was struggling to deal with the loss of someone very close to him/her (the friend). Chris wrote it from the perspective of the person who had passed away as encouragement for those left behind to live fully (“My only wish is you live your life full. Don’t mourn for me, go and celebrate it all. “) And also reassurance (“I have no regrets. It was worth it in the end.”). Though sad, it actually is an uplifting song, especially if you listen to the words with this perspective.

The deeper the love the more the blessing that person was to you. You could not be ugly especially when you are coming from a center of love. It make us all feel connected to share common emotions. And yes, I ugly cried just like you did so you were not crying alone. No one can honestly appreciate the glory of a mountain top if they have never experienced the valley below. I'm glad you kept it. As you said, that's the thing about music, it causes emotion, and makes you feel things, that's what good music does, it makes different people feel different things. I've listened to this song so many times now (probably Chris' solo version more), and in addition to the sadness after re-listening to it, and listening to Chris' version with piano, which really lets him be expressive, there are parts that are uplifting as well. I don't know if I can eloquently put it in a comment, but definitely check out Chris' solo version, and I'm glad you kept the original raw reaction, that's what music is all about. I don't recall if you reacted to this, but there is also a solo version of this on Chris' channel with him playing piano that is absolutely spectacular. Definitely worth watching if you haven't (he teases it at the end of the video).

Your reaction is your reaction be it tears or laughter. I'm here to see your reaction not your acting, if there are tears that are genuinely felt then that is what I'm here for.

You should check out Chris and Tim’s colab Long Black Train. It’s well done, and Foust doesn’t disappoint. 🎶🥰. I’m glad you left it real. I still cry every time I hear this song. It’s a good cry though. 💕😘

You looked exactly like all the Home Fries did when we found out Chris was leaving. 😥 In the early days, we fans had been through a lot with the guys as they were extremely active with us on every good or bad thing that happened with them. They kept us up-to-date, daily, on almost everything that was happening, even in their personal lives. It was like a huge family. They were truly interactive. The fan base was "a lot smaller" back then and they were just getting started to really take off. Up to the Sing Off, even though they had been touring a lot for several years, they were still at a point where they had to gain fans with each show because nobody really knew them yet. So when they started to gain more and more fans, they were so excited and, in turn, we were just as excited as they were. They were shocked the first time they walked on a stage to find fans there who already knew who they were and excited to see them. LOL! So when they announced Chris was leaving, it hit hard. By then, we all felt we were losing a brother; one of our own. We also knew Chris was a founder and the glue for the group. So we were heartbroken. But Chance came in and we all loved him, plus, we still had Chris' solo career to follow. So I look at this song as a hopeful and sweet goodbye, but also towards new beginnings. (However, it still makes me cry every time i hear it!)

Okay well I stood in my kitchen cutting my fruit up for breakfast and lunch, crying my eyes out so I'd of been pee'd off that you didn't join me, "I am joking of course being embarrassed is not fun", but I think music is emotion and it sings to us. So just know you weren't alone in the balling and runny nose. I'm sending you a hug. Xxx

Please do yourselves a favor and watch Tim's tribute to Chris live. You can tell how close all of the guys really are. I actually cried the first time I watched this one.

Auld Lang Syne. I've always pronounced it like "awe" with thr l d at the end. and tthe "s" like a z. Don't know if it's "correct".
For a real tear jerker for "Movin' On", check out when they did it for real. Live. Tim tried to read a speech.

If you want the real story behind Movin' On, watch Chris' interview with DJ410 (ua-cam.com/video/RGJhG6M9e_s/v-deo.htmlsi=DZClQTltiBfkSn7S). They talk about the song at around the 19:30 mark. It was NOT written because someone Chris knew died. Maybe we can finally get that story quashed. It is a beautiful song and the guys all did a great job on it. And it is a tear maker.

I like Chance, but I hate that they had to lose Chris to get him. This is a beautiful song, but sad........without Chris there would be no Home Free.
