Yeah. I didn't like it when she turned evil either. But she was under the manipulation of Zhan Tiri, and she found out that Mother Gothel was her real mother, and that drove her to a bad path. I liked it better when she was cast as the tomboyish, cynical, tough as nails girl who's best friends/sisters with Rapunzel and has a brother sister, love-hate relationship with Eugene. That's the Cassandra we all know and love, not the villain one. Least she redeemed herself at the end

I've never been so sad then when watching Eugene and Rapunzel try and talk Cass down after Cass stabbed them in the back and is trying to force them to fight her. Honestly, blame Zhan Tiri. She was the one who pushed Cass to make basically every dangerous move she made, even when she clearly wanted to stop her pursuits and go back to her friends multiple times across most of the final season.
Welllll, the whole point of the villain arc was Cass feeling left out or like a side character. Which is how she was treated often, even by Rapunzel. It started going downhill especially when Adira came, considering Adira was basically just replacing Cass in the "badass warrior" role.
