Also, I have a personal theory: in both the movie & the series, we see Rapunzel face genuinely dangerous beings (wolf, the pub thugs) & she brings out the good in them without getting hurt, so I think that is one of the SunDrop's powers.
Seriously, the highs of the show are better than the movie. And at its worst, the show is still funny and charming. If I had one compliant it's that I wish there were more songs. They are legit. Written and performed by top-shelf Broadway talent and given an animation production evoking classic 2D Disney at its best. I get why they couldn't do one every episode, but I really wish they did.

Like with Jasmine/Aladdin, Big Hero 6, Lilo and Stitch, Emperors New Groove, Hercules, Tarzan, Three Caballeros, Lion King, Zootopia, Jungle book, Ariel. Moana 2 was originally supposed to be a tv series. “Corona” we are tired of hearing that word. The animation looks clean. I love how Mandy and Zachery Reprised their Roles. 5:14 She drank the Magical Flower. So obvi. 12:30 Mandy Moore is Like a Pop singer. I think? 13:11 Her mom was sick when she was pregnant. 19:16 Yep.
Watch season 1 because there is an epic two parter with an incredible song that can make anyone shed a tear. Unfortunately it is near the end of season 1
I would recommend using a guide to watch this series while skipping some of the more filler-y episodes, because there tend to be a lot of them - and this show is sooooo good, Cassandra is my absolute favorite character!

The show is sooo good but honestly most of the first season is just fun hijinks, plot kicks in at the end of season 1 and then seasons 2 and 3. I wouldn’t be mad if you just reacted to the plot relevant episodes and watched the others on your own for context, or if you watched a few episodes together at a time
