Thanks for doing these videos. I don't have a lot of time to play through these romhacks myself, but I really like seeing what kind of creative things authors do with the existing and custom assets.

I've really been enjoying see this go from a crazy weird alien nature adventure to a horrifying secret cloning experiment adventure. That Crocomire was..................wow. You know, I was getting Giger vibes and then you threw that thing in on the map there...HEH...
I've just finished this hack and used your playthrough to find some items, thank you very much. It is indeed a monster of an ending, I really like STUNT_MK's review of it emphasizing the darkness and the mature themes. Hits like a truck.
This hack is so cool! Kinda confusing with key itens and some places are just nesses with color pallet and the background hide a lot some solid objects, also the lack of x-ray don't help. But regardless is really cool and the atmosphere is incredible, some play with background paralax with layers giving dephts Illusion is so well made!
Btw I watched others plays you made and keep with the work you do a really good content!
Btw again, have you heard about super metroid gba? Not that hack with gba mechanics, I mean the zero mission hack with super metroid lyout, is a recent hack and so far is EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY, different than the super zero mission because that hack is Just bullshit
DMan, the creator of this hack, is a very artistic person and tried to make every room look beautiful and unique. The way he designs his hacks could definitely be tricky to some people, I think it's something that's just going to be down to preference. If it's any consolation, his other hack in this style (Eris) is not as polished and it's even harder to tell what's solid and what isn't, so I think it's definitely something DMan has taken to heart and tried to improve.
Personally to me, I definitely think it's weird how Achyls suddenly switches from pink mellow caves to being more traditionally Norfair-like as soon as you're within one room of the volcanic core. It feels like there should have been more of a buildup so it's possible to tell at a glance when you're getting closer to the core.

@@studhouser6969 Admittedly that was basically it for evidence when I first made this comment.
BUT...
The EMMI are pretty good proofs that the federation isn't interested in fair play with Samus any longer. She destroyed both the BSL and SR388, locations with creatures they wanted to weaponize. They weren't letting her go that easily. Raven Beak merely changed the robots' allegiances.

capacity (ok) - I got no 100%
and cloned: ??? (what is this?) - Is it like a ranking?
It's an counter of how many clones were created cuz of you (in other words - how often you died)
capacity is your completion percentage, clones is how many deaths you took
Actually, Cloned is the Number of times you LOAD the Game. That includes BOOTING the ROM AND Deaths In-Game. So each time you load a Save File from Booting the ROM, that counts towards the Cloned Meter. Dying in the Game and Selecting 'Revitalize' also Counts towards the Cloned Meter.
Possibly a glitch, ask digital manthra himself. Could you please update when you have the answer?

I wonder what happens if you beat the game without any clones.
I'm not sure but I think you need to "Revitalize" at least once in order to progress. Remember the death trap room, then you "Revitalize" in another chamber to the right of where you last saved.
You have to die a minimum of 1 time and one boss before the main area requires a save in a particular spot to unlock the door to the boss.
Annoying that I couldnt do a zero death run.
Although Axiom Verge did this plot thread better

I was close to guessing the plot. My guess was that this Samus was a clone being tested by Space Pirates to fight the real thing, based on the fact that you find cloned Draygons earlier in the game. Would have been a great note to end on, too, since it would have Samus be so good at heart that even being created as a Pirate weapon, she does the right thing and destroys the facility and (potentially) herself.
It being some stupid literal Alien crossover makes it much less cool. I don't mind the blood or nudity or anything, and the final boss is neat (lmao crocomire final boss), but the Alien shit popping out of nowhere is cringy as fuck. Could at least have had the decency to reskin a boss as a Xenomorph to fight.
It's a pretty decent hack overall, though, dumbass ending aside. Too hard to read some of the platforms, and it's very, VERY easy to go off track and end up somewhere you're absolutely not supposed to be yet. I ended up in the final area (well, the one before the Ceres-looking lab) without even finding the Varia suit.
What is it with SM hacks having weird or dumb stories?
The plot is terrible, killing Samus is just meh. B, for trying with the level design though.
