I actually really love this video, because i don't think a lot of people are actually aware of how cheap it can be, if you're splitting the bill, so to speak.
When the Cessna Citation was first introduced in the 70s, it was billed as the 'Least Expensive' business jet, with a price tag of $695,000, at the time! Some people just love to grossly exaggerate prices, which are already expensive enough!
I own a private jet company in malaysia and just purchased a challenger 600! And I just have to say how informative this video is, take it from an expert who's been in the industry for years!
@@mattanderson3010 this is a very tough industry to get started in. The main goal is to gather connections and connect with individuals who have the money to buy the Jets in the first place. Then you have to actually know the buying process of a jet. There are a lot of aircraft brokers and sellers who will lie to you about the maintenance of the aircraft which could cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars. A mistake that will cost you the relationship with your client.

I remember being at the airport and there was a problem with the plane schedule. I was flying to Jamaica and the plane would not fly out until the Monday it was a Friday afternoon. I had to get a private charter to fly to Jamaica It was the first time I ever flew on a private jet and probably will be my last one time. Cost me $21,000 one way!!
I had the opportunity to fly on a Dassault Falcon 50 for work. We arrived and when we walked out to the Aircraft, last person was asked “all on board”, yes… and they closed the door. started the engines and taxied. They had things to eat on board. When we landed, they asked about how long our meeting was going to be and what we wanted to eat on the return flight. The rental cars pulled up next to the Aircraft. We Walked off to our cars. Its something very special
i love how you share all these info for us who literally have no idea about all these, i guess you can really amp up you comfort affordably, if that makes sense
Well, you have to double the purchase prices Michael is talking about, and the running costs are about 60-70% (unless he's including the cost of flying, like fuel and crew etc)... ... but if you really want cheap private jet flying, look at "empty leg charter" websites. These jets have to position to airports to pick up paying clients, and you can hop on the ferry leg for a fraction of the hire cost (although you lose the flexibility that comes from being a full fare client).
Great video, enjoyed it much. Interesting point of view. I think the Challenger 601 from the late eighties will be around 1,2M up to 1.5M to afford one in good shape. The Cessna Citation 501 goes for 300K to 500K and the 560 rather 600K to 850K I would think. But like Michael said, the price is not the deal, the operation and maintenance costs speaking on the deal, that only still makes it affordable with big bucket of bugs. Here in Germany they charge more to charter these planes. A 3 hour flight back anf forth all in is easily by 15-20K in a small Citation. There is the US more in an advantage, I guess. The Embraer is like Michael said, the ultimate choice of private flying, if money is there to afford this one. Amazing plane. Thanks for the great update and video on this. Really interesting.
I was really curious what Micheal ment by "affordable" at first. A little part of me at first was like "affordable for you maybe..?". But 600 or 4000 is actually affordable for me. The 4000 would take me a year to save up. But it's not impossible! Thank you Michael for your ability to level with us "normal" people 🙏. Please do more of this, can we see yachts or something??
Love the usual content Michael. I'm a commercial pilot myself and just wanted to point out that the realistic price of that first aircraft is realistically between 1-1.2 million dollars and new was around the 5-6 million dollar mark. Cheers
Imagine being a flight attendant and having to sit on the toilet in between usage....Flight back from Vegas with people consuming lot's of alcohol before crushing the cheap seafood buffet and then they fly back. And you have to sit on that toilet 🤣
The toilet is rarely used and has an actual cushion and seat belt. If you saw it you would never know it’s a toilet unless they lifted the seat cushion. I’d imagine it’s actually cleaner than your bathroom at home.
I'm a referrer/promoter of a private jet charter company, and believe me private flying today (in 2022), is a lot more affordable than people realise, especially if the costs can be shared between travellers. That said, it's still not cheap, but a lot of the time, it is comparable to buying a first class ticket on an airline, with a lot less hassle!
You are lucky blessed man Michael .... “I bless you with being everything that God has designed you to be because as you experience the joy of fulfilling your purpose, you will benefit, others will benefit, and the world will be blessed.”
Just FYI, no, the static wicks don't discharge lightning. The dissipate residual static charge picked up by the airframe as it travels through the air. The purpose of it is to reduce radio interference from those static charges. Airplanes do get struck by lightning, but with a metal frame aircraft it tends to have lots of ways to pass through the aircraft. Its only really a problem with very modern composite (plastic) airplanes that are non-conductive, and they embed wires in the airframe as necessary to give the lightning a path to enter and exit the aircraft.
Some times if you get lucky and just happen to find a private jet that is where you are but needs to go somewhere else to pick up its next customer so you get to fly on it for dirt cheap. I flew from Portland, Oregon to Chicago a few years back and was able to find a jet flying an empty leg. My ex girlfriend and I had an entire g450 to ourselves minus the pilots and a flight attendant. We were going to spend roughly 600$ each to fly first class non-stop 1 way commercial and the charter company just said since it was just her and I, we didn't need anything to be stocked on the jet and we were willing to go to the airport they needed to go to and not have to go anywhere else, they just said tip the staff really well! So I gave each of the staff 100$ each. So we flew on a g450 private jet to Chicago for 300$!
Michael: "I didn't know how much it cost to operate a private jet until now" Michael in previous video: " I own my own private jet". So are you spending $1 million a year to maintain your own plane?
I assume he meant didn't realise it could be done so cost effectively per chartered trip. He spoke about maintenence cost in the video where he was buying his so should hope he remembered 😂

Michael, 2 seconds later: "This are static wicks"
cracks me up
RIGHT?! Lmaoo
And.... slightly wrong info.... They are static wicks, and do help get rid of static build up from moving through the atmosphere. .... sort of like static builds up when walking across carpet. Lightning protection....not so much.
A new Cessna citation today cost between 13 and 30 million.
I own a private jet company in malaysia and just purchased a challenger 600! And I just have to say how informative this video is, take it from an expert who's been in the industry for years!
How did you get started? I'm trying to be like you
@@mattanderson3010 this is a very tough industry to get started in.
We learned today that Micheal is indeed human and that he has a belly button.
@Ernie H Hairs, he's not wearing a whole fucking pony on his feet.

i was that too...
@Ernie H However if the Pony died of natural causes lets say....then is it still not cool to have? Just curious:)

I was too busy last months to watch your videos, but i'm so happy and hyped that TF1 is making a video with you (i'm french) !
I keep waiting for that video where Michael and Adam fly in Michael's new jet to New York to go pick up Jacob! That would be an epic, amazing video. Hope you read this comment Adam!
Yeah looking forward to the first flight
Micheal does not own that jet that he made a video on a while ago. The jet belongs to a bank in Utah. You can search it up.

I took a little break from your videos as my wife gave birth to our son. I come back now and see that the channel has evolved so much and in such a nice way. The back and forth between you and Adam makes it very relatable and fun to watch. No disrespect, but you can only watch so much of a rich guy showing his riches without some relief in between. I think that formula has attributed greatly to the success of this channel. I just hope you keep it going as I learn a lot from your videos. Even simple things like how to be politely negotiate. Thank you for keeping this going. I can tell you both are awesome guys.
Havent watched a video in a year, this guy is slowly morphing into Austin Powers
The character of Austin Powers is based on him.
Producer Michael has much more aviation savvy than I gave him credit for. Very nice indeed.
This channel is pretty addictive.
This was a welcome change, relevant and informative for people aspiring to move on in life and experience new things and the trappings of a wealthy lifestyle.

Michael you are THE NUMBER 1!!!!!
Thanks for pointing out the bit about the influencers Adam! I was wondering how everyone could afford trips on private jets all of a sudden.
@producermichael
That was so good to see your new post no matter what is the content, I really really missed you si much, especially because there was a gap between the larg house post and the next and new post. We all love you michael, please post more often, please
That first jet is like a coffin.
Check out safety records of private planes, it isn't great.
Yeah I wont step a foot in there
The cessna 560 is one the most common private jets. Tons of them fly everyday with no problems

Giving thanks for Producer Michael and Adam! Love what you do boys keep up the great work!! In it to Win it!!
"Can i point something out on these wings? This is a *sprinkler* system in case of fire!"
Missed opportunity 🤣
i love how you share all these info for us who literally have no idea about all these, i guess you can really amp up you comfort affordably, if that makes sense
💯
Adam's the man for the real world questions!
Just ask Nile Niami, his plane will never fly alone!
😂😂😂
GODS PLANE! lmfao
😂
except for on the way back...
i believe him
Michael, already do. Between Australia and the US and Asia... Haven't flown commercial in years. Great video...
Thanks for watching

I was really curious what Micheal ment by "affordable" at first. A little part of me at first was like "affordable for you maybe..?". But 600 or 4000 is actually affordable for me. The 4000 would take me a year to save up. But it's not impossible!
Thank you Michael for your ability to level with us "normal" people 🙏. Please do more of this, can we see yachts or something??
There are alot of expenses not considered here. For example, the cost to store the plane at your location.
Best channel on the tube, Multi-informetically. I'm currently learning so so so much. Thank you gentlemen.
Love the usual content Michael. I'm a commercial pilot myself and just wanted to point out that the realistic price of that first aircraft is realistically between 1-1.2 million dollars and new was around the 5-6 million dollar mark. Cheers
I know nothing about planes but it looked more expensive than the 300-400k they were throwing around.
Cool thanks for the info
I like how you talk Michael. I appreciate your advice and hope that you will continue to share your journey.
@@BaxterretxaB wasn't talking about how clean it was. Was talking about you having to sit there after someone has used the thing

Thank you Michael for sharing this and all the information you gave us. Incredible way of traveling in luxury.
Sometimes you Will never know the value of moment until it becomes a memory 💛
I'm a referrer/promoter of a private jet charter company, and believe me private flying today (in 2022), is a lot more affordable than people realise, especially if the costs can be shared between travellers. That said, it's still not cheap, but a lot of the time, it is comparable to buying a first class ticket on an airline, with a lot less hassle!
Michael we can see your belly button when you sit down winking at us 😂😂 bless him 🙏

That's a great tip about negotiating for the plane to stay in the location. Didn't think of doing that
One day Michael has my permission to throw Adam in any body of water he chooses 🤣😂😂
What happened to Michael jet he “bought” ???????

I just need friends, then I'll be set.
Michael: "I didn't know how much it cost to operate a private jet until now"
Michael in previous video: " I own my own private jet". So are you spending $1 million a year to maintain your own plane?
I assume he meant didn't realise it could be done so cost effectively per chartered trip. He spoke about maintenence cost in the video where he was buying his so should hope he remembered 😂
@@adam_kano He doesn't use his plane so I assumed it was constantly chartered (so a kind of business for him) but perhaps he didn't end up buying one afterall?
