But I checked a lot of your posts which are targeting keyword which is full of sites which exact search intent ( some times they even have authority sites on top as well ), Though i see that you are also ranking on page 1, but want to know: (a): what is your thought process while selecting these keywords? (b): While selecting keywords, don't you always aim for position 1 ( feature snippet )? For example: you can check for keyword: "how to make bermuda grass thicker" Though no authority sites ranking, but almost all has search intent.
Keyword research is just the first step we take before we decide whether or not to proceed. Check back for our competition analysis videos coming up in the future. This process will show you how we choose whether or not to proceed with the keywords we find.
Hi Ansh, We are much more selective with keywords early on in a site's development, but go after tougher keywords over time. We typically go after anything that we think we have a shot of ranking in the top 5. I hope that helps!

I'm sorry, but a lot of people say it differently. But when you're giving us these numbers, are you talking about yearly or monthly? So he makes $10,000 a year? Or $10,000 a month
That one's on the list, but hasn't been recorded yet. Don't let that hold you back though. The basic idea is to make sure too many articles aren't targeting the specific keyword, make sure there aren't too many high authority sites, see what type of results Google is showing (video, images, ecommerce sites, etc.), and try to write as many, or more, words than the competition. I hope that helps.

In my opinion, the internet is a big enough place for all of us. People have been building sites for decades, and new sites are created every day. There will always be undeserved topics popping up that can serve as the foundation for a new site. I definitely get your point though.

Yes, MBL does over 10k a month right now in which it is a semi seasonal site and will likely drop some this fall (which is expected). As for defining numbers, we mentioned that in the video but to better clarify please refer to all income report videos. MBL is site #4 and the newest site of the 4 that we reference. We monetize with display ads through Mediavine. We use affiliate links as well, but that's a very small part of our monetization strategy.

Monthly. Year to date is over $60,000. It's a seasonal site so, it does better during the warmer months.
