Thank you for the video! I've always wanted to get into archery and when I saw this bow for $199 I decided to go for it. I really appreciate the information, tips on upgrading pieces, and the heads up about the arrows. Keep doing awesome stuff my friend, God bless.
This is the best value hunting tool available on the internet. Not just bow, hunting tool. The price is very, very low for what you get. I think you are the first to take it on a filmed hunt. Do I like that it's made by the west's enemies, no. But when you have no money in the bank and you need to put meat on the table, it is what it is. Remembering the chinese people are not necessarily the government.
I was just talking with my wife the other day not bow related at all and saying I wonder how many Chinese ppl don’t agree with their government but don’t have the funds/ability to just up and leave, also it’s not like countries just accept everybody they have to go through a process which takes forever
China's got a deeeeeeeep history with archery, as well. If the company was also selling cutting boards, kitchen knives, and safety equipment, I'd be very very wary of it, but idk man, the fuckin business parts of the bow are American, and aluminum is aluminum lol. It ain't pretending to be a bear or a hoyt, and that's perfect, because I'm not bout to buy one of those right now lol. These brands are important as fuck, we all have a duty as hunters to encourage, enable, and instruct people on how to get into the sport. Low cost entry is important for keeping this art form alive.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about it, „From the bottom to the top” is not what I expected though… It’s not really what you mean I suppose. And I hope :)
Thanks for watching it is definitely a quiet bow. It’s not as quiet as my flagship Elite but it is quieter than flagship bows from just a few years back.
Thanks for watching, the let off varies depending on the draw length it is set at. Most lengths get close to 80% but the longest setting is around 70%. Hope this helps
The Bow I tell archers to use if they want to do compound archery for cheap is to get a Genesis--X/Gen--X for the model as the parts for the bow are still made since they moved from the Pro that 90 precent of the Pro version bow is the same as X, if the cams break replace them both on the older Pro versions as this is the major part that changed. I tell people this due to how durable the bow models are and after the first runs in late 1990 of the 15--35 pound model made until mid 2000's when Orginal and Pro became two different models. I know a guy who used one for Deer in fall an upgraded first run with new Pro 40 pound cams as at the time Wisconsin needed 40 Pound minimum for Deer/Turkey. Also if you make the serving thread wider so it is not so thin one ca use the Gen--X/Genessis--X model with a glove or a tab, one of the last compound models of good quality one can still do this with, Maybe the Barnet Vortex models both the regular as well as Bowfishing models or most of the compound Bowfishing models
Thanks for watching. The short answer is yes. There have been plenty of animals harvested with recurves or longbows which have considerably less energy than this bow. With that said , I personally wouldn’t hunt anything larger than Whitetail deer with it. Just because there are faster bows with more energy and I always want to give myself the best opportunity possible.
Only shot it out to 30 so far but should have a video up soon of some longer shots, I plan to put a drop away rest on it I feel like that will make a noticeable improvement at longer distances
I’ve been looking at a sanlida velocity x10 bow but I’m afraid a lot bow shops around here won’t want to work on it being I didn’t buy it from them and came from China I think that might be the biggest downfall of the bows
@@justinlloyd9342 I don’t disagree with you, I would go in expecting to pay for service and let them know that up front. Hopefully they would take care of you with expectations of gaining you as a long term customer.
@@archeryuniverse Yep as nobody wants to work on the better almost like Barnet Vortex but for bigger archers models of Junxing bows either at the one place I know of nor do they want to work on the crappy cheap $300 lever bow that does not use cams that they sell, as they know it is garbage they have to sell. The other models they sell yes they will work on them including a Cajun bowfishing take down recurve if parts are beyond what you can do on own. They will even work on Barnet Vortex/H2O models before the good Junxing models that are a step up from the Barnet model.
@@caseysmith544 It is unfortunate that this seems to be a problem. I ran a pro shop for years and my policy was help the customer to the best of my ability regardless of where they purchased the bow . More times than not , this resulted un return customers who ended up buying equipment from me.
Just ordered one. Been shooting traditional bows for several years and reviews like yours convinced me to try a compound. Appreciate the insight. 👍🎯

I'm new to archery and the Sanlida X8 is probably my best choice for a first bow
Thanks for watching, it’s tough to beat the X8 for the price they cost
It's my first compound and I like it👍🎯

How is it noise wise compared to other bows? I’m looking for something that’s as quite as possible.

Thank you for the info
Great vid been waiting on this one.
We need to get together and let Michael test drive it
What is the let off?
Thanks for watching, the let off varies depending on the draw length it is set at.
Most lengths get close to 80% but the longest setting is around 70%.
Hope this helps
I am 6 foot 8 tall. Does this bow still function well at its longest draw?
Thanks for watching. The let off is a little bit lower on the longest setting but the bow shoots just fine with no issues that I noticed.

Can you hunt big game with this bow?

my bottom left limb snapped.. it hasnt been a year.. only 2 months on my end.. no dry fire or any other stuffs i tinkered..
Thanks for watching.
That is unfortunate, but they do have a warranty. Contact Sanlida on their website and I’m sure they’ll take care of you.
As of today it's $199 with free 2 day delivery. It'll be here on Tuesday.
How does it shoot at distance? Have you tested shots at 30 40 and 50 yards?
Only shot it out to 30 so far but should have a video up soon of some longer shots, I plan to put a drop away rest on it I feel like that will make a noticeable improvement at longer distances
Hey you can check this youtbe name VAI if im not mistaken, shot his x8 up to 100meters (110yrds)

Just got mine today. Cams are out of sync it needs to go to the shop.
Glad you got it in, timing should be an easy fix and you’ll be shooting in no time
