British proud intestifies..
Look, i stole your hat.
I felt some Ghost Of Tsushima Vibes on some scenes. Like the wind blowing on the field. Maybe it's just me but I loved it. As usual, delighted by the amazing shots you make Chris!
And being eaten by bears
Haha! So did I
Chris: the cause of the great Sendai Forest Fire of 2020
I loved the sound effect of the screaming horse.
I drive an Alfa Romeo in Hokuriku. People always smile and wave. Everyone loves an Alfa ❤
I am amazed at the vibrant Italian car scene in Japan. I purchased bits for my Abarths when I was there in 2017.
@@kidoctane Japan has a amazing car scene
"The windows not only go down... but also up!" What a concept!!
you laugh but I have shared in this struggle...
For anyone wondering, the song at the start is "Ikebana" by Taizo Audio (aka Shin Suzuma).
THAAAANK YOU
Shazam was useless in trying to find it.
It almost sounds like a track from Shenmue
Many Thanks!!
Thanks I did ask Chris, but I guess my question got lost amongst the others!
Man you saved me.
This needs to be pinned T.T
You don’t need to shoot a Range Rover. It will die on its own accord.
I can smell a Honda joke somewhere in that sentence.
Honda Accord?

This is really one of the most beautiful videos made on this channel, the intro is amazing the drone shows the surrounding beauty perfectly, and the cheers shot with natsuki, One of my most favorite videos on this channel.
1:15 - I was not prepared for so much flexing and visual stimulation in the intro, but damn I've re-watched it like 3 times and it still sparks joy. 10/10, kickass intro (the water and panoramas, not the french fries and creepy clown stuff)
1:12* yeah i agree
I, too, was pleasantly surprised by the cinematography and editing in this video. Great stuff!
does anyone know the name of the song?
@@davidlee7174 taizo ikebana
Stop lying to yourself, Chris, that radio song absolutely slaps and you know it.
When it gets stuck in your head, there's honestly nothing worse.
So far it's just saying "thank you" in Japanese over and over again. 😆
Anyone know the name of the song?
@@yuseifudo3352 i wonder what it is 😂
I'm serious. I tried looking on you couldn't find it. I even tried Shazam.
Natsuki ridiculing Chris on his non-Tesla is such a perfect payoff.
Good thing he didn't buy a Tesla
natsuki nr 1 !
Plus topping it off with a non-alcoholic beer!
Daikou is such a brilliant and civilized way to deal with drunk driving I hope the rest of the world catches on to that concept soon!
[turns on radio]
With the British documentary style, I _really_ can't tell if the radio music was a scripted bit or not because of the smooth editing and how well it fits the British style.
could be coincidence, could be scripted
Will we ever know?
[turns off radio]
Just pray that damn song doesn't get stuck in your head as it did mine.
@@AbroadinJapan I didn't think it would, but after reading your comment, it did.
Cheers Chris.
@@stuff495 That's what happened to me too.
Natsuki is a great friend. He's worried Chris might drive under the influence lol. Its so wholesome, even tho Chris playfully gave him sht for it i hope he appreciates it
I want a friend like Natsuki
I am sure he's a great friend. But in Japan, even passengers in the car with a drunk driver will be fined about US $3000. So there's self-interest, too...
Natsuki is my spirit animal
Though*
U shud sign up a deal with Netflix and begin your own netflix series already, the production value is insane
Your gonna get 69k subs
1:50, Can we just take a second to appreciate drones? Like holy shit the level of quality that can be achieved by independent creators now do to low cost (obviously still expensive but way cheaper than a helicopter) camera drones is incredible.
you’re my inspiration and i’ve been watching your videos since i was 14! now, as a 20 year old i’m currently living in japan 🇯🇵
can you speak japanese?
1:14 like a real life Miyazaki Film. The cinematography is so gorgeous. Ok I shall continue watching!
anyone know what the song is
Whats the bgm in there? Its so soothing
Turns out it’s called ikebana
Chris I'm only 2 minutes into the video, Jesus Christ... when did your cinematography get so good?
I mean he was locked up in his home for good few months there, just the right background to git gud at his cinematography game! (or get cabin fever :D)
Wasn't it always?
@Peachgirl91 they didn't say anything about our lord and savior Beelzebub
@Peachgirl91 You religious people are funny.
Amen
Wow man the start of the video is just so mesmerising, so beautiful, so much heart and mind relaxing, feeling like a tension free cloud with its eyes closed and breathing natural fresh air glyding in the sky with the wind
„I drink Bikkle“
drinks Bikkle
„Guys, don‘t drink Bikkle“
😂
Bikkle actually tastes really good, my favorite drink eversince i came to Japan
laughed so hard there!
Is that Bikkle is an expired milk ?!! He said sour 😕
When he says "or a bicycle" at 11:43... It most be a tease for JAJ Season 2!!
It was!
I absolutely LOVED that series and would pay money for it
What's JAJ?
@@_chonkywoofwoof Journey Across Japan, a web series Chris did in 2018.
Now it’s here i guess watching it now

Yes, 20 seconds in and I've already been taught a phrase I will likely use everyday in Japan when I visit there. Thank you, Abroad in Japan, for teaching me something so vital to surviving.
It's the ONLY phrase you need to know when coming to Japan.
Just rewatching this and appreciating all the beautiful opening shots, especially seeing the wind blowing through the green fields. Lovely.
I am seriously impressed with the storyline, edits, and the cinematography of this video. You out did yourself Chris. Excellent job.
Chris , time to buy a sports car . We need that Drift across Japan series .
Tokyo durifu
miata should be a good start
if anyone sees this comment and wants a good english speaking channel for drifting in japan, check out noriyaro! :)
Ae86 or gt86 cuz I can see him being the new takumi xD
With eurobeat
_So Chris isn't a secret drift God?_
*_My dreams are crushed_*
He might be, he just didn't film it
Want to know how we live in Tokyo if you see us then you know you have to go fast and furrriiouuuuss
Chris is a hashiriya. The honda fit is just for youtube. He might actually drive a 500hp toyota chaser down and up the mountain
fuck that would have been so sick
that opening and landscapes... japan is breathtaking. I'm beyond speechless, i love it
Got chills at 1.25 with the green fields blowing in the wind, and the picturesque backdrop. Great shots and excellent music choice. Loved the video Chris!
It was so beautiful! I watched that part twice, haha
That music is REALLY familiar... can't quite place it
Need a cinemagraph of that scene
@@R3DM4G3 have the same problem, first I tought it's from Uchiage Hanabi, but it isn't ... now I need to know it
I need the name of that song! Gorgeous.
"Brand new second hand car" that was the most typical Chris style sarcasm in this vlog and his reaction after seeing the bear sign. These were absolutely hilarious and the joke was on Chris when Natsuki gave him non alcoholic beer :D
@yourjoking Right well done lol
16:37 Natsuki jumping when Chris beeped the horn made my day
日本の中でも東北に来てくれて嬉しい。
I swear this is the only channel on UA-cam that makes videos this entertaining but captivating at the same time I gotta give it to Chris
Chris, just gotta say that all the effort you put in the editing and the cinematography of your videos really shines through. The music, the camera shots, the special effects along with your humor and personality produce a really nice watching experience.
Really good stuff man, really good stuff 👌🏻
The Scenery on 1:36 is absolutely beautiful
I was watching this on my PS4 and legit thought Sony patched in trophies for the UA-cam app for a second.
Same here 😅
