Back in the day I would use artist chalk and pastel sticks with sand paper and make my own weathering powder..still works today 🎉🎉🎉.

Great job with painting and weathering this Messerschmitt 109 , I like it veri much . I have build also one on 1/72 scale .
I would guess that the main rule is "you can always add, but you can't subtract", followed by "less is more" I've been using ground pastel chalks for 40 years, and my early attempts looked like my airplane had been in a hanger fire because they were too dirty and sooty. Google images are great, because now I can approximate just how much to apply to certain areas. Keep up the good work! Your model looks great!
I am amateur model maker, please do a video on the messersmit BF109e4. Thats the one Im making.
Does the powder stick by itself to the model?
