Love the flavor, was disappointed in the production! Only got a few fruit off the vine which was a monster! I am trying two different green varieties this year, Green Giant and a Dwarf Tomato Project variety called Big Green.
Wow! Haven't heard of those two green varieties. Let me know how they work for you. The Aunt Ruby's German was developed in TN where I am so I think I have an advantage with the climate. They grow super well here!
@@inchwormgardens the Dwarf Tomato Project plants intrigue me. I grew Uluru Ochre last year. It was a later producer than I expected. I have 10 or so dwarf varieties that will produce Green, Purple, Red, Oxheart, Yellow and multicolor tomatoes. Plus a slew of heirlooms on indeterminate vines.
Ha! You're right... I went a little overboard. I think I was just nervous. 🥴 I've since learned not put salt on the tomatoes for these taste tests.. People do NOT like that. Thanks for watching! This is still one of my all time favorite tomato varieties. Enjoy!
love your tomato tasting series bud!
Hey, thanks so much! I appreciate that :)
Oh, the precious, child-like look on your face when a tiny bit escaped! Your reaction was AWESOME! Thanks for the great video!!! 🙏🏼
😂 Thank you!!! 🙏🏼
I agree that with green tomatoes, the squeeze test is the best way to tell ripeness.
yess! Love those green tomatoes! I'm growing a green cherry type for the first time this year called "Green Doctors". Looks forward to that one!
I'm growing them for the 1st time this year and I can't wait !
Awesome! I think you will really enjoy them :)

@@Tpryanjr184 love it. Tomatoes always seem to be the most interesting and exciting plants to grow in the garden. sooo many varieties!
....not sure what you fed them...but from my experience ....cooler weather and plenty of P-K helps quite a bit....🤙

I'm curious if you had to water much this past season or was there enough rain?
