I have been a fan of the pillows since 2006. I love them the first time I heard them from FLCL which is the best anime of its time. I love that make songs that sound so cool and easy to listen to. I mean you can go on a walk or hang out with friends with their songs in the back ground.
Their sound is so....Originally nostalgic, like you could’ve fooled me and said this song was originally in english and i heard it years ago type nostalgic 😂.
I love that they made such a cool, innovative video with lo-fi effects for their 17th album. This is the kind of video an up and coming band would make. Good choice of video directors for this kind of creativity and sticking to the roots of their style

I've come to the conclusion that the integrity of the music comes first..yes..I believe they are aware of their international fans..given the state of the music industry and things in general it is hard to see why they would be inclined to tour the world..which is unfortunate
Such a great song. My Foot was the first of their albums I bought other than the FLCL soundtracks. Good Dreams and Another Day, Another Pillows are also indispensable albums for any pillows collection!

that's the sign of good music right there... plus when you do look it up, most of the lyrics this guy writes are great. Mixes of feelings such as melancholy, hopefulness, despair, curiosity, and themes like death, life, love...as well as many skillful allusions/metaphors... some does get lost in translation however...
It's a tremendous pity that the language barrier prevents The Pillows from achieving mainstream success in the US. Their music blows away so much of the crap that passes for rock (let alone music) these days. IMHO of course.
