@@GrimesGarage Not true, except for the backwards baseball cap crowd who ruthlessly raced and abused these cars. Everyone who lived in that era remembers those folks with their loud coffee can exhausts. Countless thousands of these Civics were raced on public roads. On the other hand, folks who drove them in a civilized manner didn't have transmission issues, including myself. The clutch pack in my 97 is all original. Unfortunately many of these old civics ended up being bought on the cheap by kids who drove the heck out of them. And even then the those civics usually marshalled on in spite of the abuse and neglect.
@@glennhansel9411 exactly dude that’s what I’m saying. People just gotta not abuse their f****** vehicles! Drives me nuts when people think their vehicles are POS when they don’t treat them right. My mom even got her 1995 Neon, out of all cars, to 330,000 Kilometres on the original clutch. She tells me she would have kept it if she had known that her son (me), was going to be a car enthusiast who likes working on cars 🔧. Because it got grounding problems and she sold it. I would never buy a car with under 150,000 kilometres that ALREADY needed a new clutch, because then it was probably abused and aggressively driven in stop and go city, which is not a vehicle I would buy. I’ll be 16 next week and I hope to someday own a 97 Civic like yours, bone stock and unmolested, with the 5 speed manual. I’ve got an 06 Matrix currently and I definitely take care of it like a typical car nerd. A shop may cost too much to sort out but I bet an individual can sort it out. It could be possible. I know John Ross is a big Honda fan & he loves working on them. I don’t know. It’s an idea.
hondas simply arent built as well as toyotas and auto honda trans are terrible
@@TempoMontages Those hondas were great cars with good transmissions. Quality as high as toyota. The 2000s hondas were the ones with trans problems. By the way, toyota vehicles had plenty of problems during the 2000s including oil burning due to faulty piston rings. The 80s and 90s were the golden years of the japanese cars.
@@glennhansel94112-3 clutch pack failures are incredibly common on that generation of honda
I can’t tell you how many times I remind people “don’t run engine above 3000 RPM until the temperature gauge reaches the middle”. I may be a youngster but I take care of things better than most
What a great vid! This is really wonderful to see. You folks are the best!
She had to know before hand, or else teachers have no EMOTION
You think😊
Yeah, quite the nonchalant reaction.. 😒. Nevertheless, good for her I suppose! It's a nice car.
The acting needs work 😅
She won’t have to worry about winning an Oscar. 😂
I don't know
Whatever you guys do to help others is great. We need more kind people in this world. 😊
😬 that acting had me worried a pr0n was about to start
I have always enjoyed Mr. And Mrs. Wizards presence on Hoovies channel. Then the expansion to your own. But the episodes like these are indeed my favorite.
Thankyou, for your information, entertainment, and true heroism!
Now this is content!

Why does he keep calling him Grimes, that’s his last name…
To avoid confusion with my first name. 🙃
@@GrimesGarage ha, just sounds strange after watching Jake’s videos, hope the new gig is going well…
Good work Wizard, Mrs. Wizard, Grimes and anyone else who might have been involved. That is a gift that she will likely never forget.
What you’re doing is really nice and all but you should really stop it with the acting.
This was a very good act of kindness from you and Mrs. Wizard. It is good to know that there still decent people out there helping others with no string attached. But you show that on many of your show and it is not done twice a year. Your honesty to the customers goes a long way. I is too sad that all mechanic shops are not as honest as you and your team. Keep up the the Gr8 job.
