I'm glad you touched on the amazing quests. Runescape lore is so captivating and it's quest quality is still one of the best I have seen out of all the games I've played.
It was shocking for me that when the praised Skyrim came out, its quests couldn't hold a candle to Runescape's. Maybe I should go back, for chill's sake
I come from a time when there was hardly any lore in Runescape, it was a generic fantasy world at most, which focused more on jokes and pop-culture references, coming back 9 years later and seeing that we got 'Ages' now, with the Pantheon being more then just 'Good god' 'Bad God' 'Neutral God'
I played RS as a kid from 2007-2011 on and off. Came back to it in around 2015 and played for a good few years. Admittedly I was pretty hooked on the game, but it was the community and friendships I had on this game that had me hooked. Was so fun hopping online and seeing a friends list with tons of people online. These days I just can’t get back into the game, it’s not the same playing alone and having 0 friends online 😢
It's not hard to find clans and communities online, plenty of people like you out there looking for people to enjoy the game with and share the experience
It's actually a sick strategy to swap between the two games when one falls into a slump like they often do. RS3 does seem to get a lot more updates than OSRS though, despite the lesser playercount.
@@Darkpawra there are no "slumps" lmao. Just because you've completed everything in a 2 decade old game that new updates don't last long for you doesn't mean its a "slump".
@@TheSCPStudio Incorrect, I am referring to update slumps here. I think back to the months after Archaeology released where we had a long content drought. Also there was a period where OSRS didn't get any new PVM for a very long time, to the point that the entire PVM equipment market crashed hard.
For some reason this gem of a game is beyond nostalgia for not just me, but most people i've talked too while playing Old School Runescape. Started playing (Old School) as a kid and i'm in my late 20's STILL going back to this gem, every time i went barb fishing or did any skilling and just talking to people close to my age the overall sentiment is always "We never truly quit Runescape" and it's true. I am taking a break right now, however i have the itch to play again, further progress my Ironman account, which too adds another layer of depth and enjoyment as all facets of the world, game mechanics and just overall enjoyability gets heightened as it personally feels more rewarding! Regardless, amazing content as always Mitch and your channel is criminally underrated and you genuinely deserve more subs as your ability to make me want to go back to MMO's in general makes the allure of your amazing content all the more enjoyable!
You sir have talent. Your GW2 videos really made me play the crap out of it. 150 hours in 3 weeks.... Ugh thanks for the addiction. But seeing this reminds me of the days I would wake up at 3 in the morning to play this game and farm bananas because I didn't know any better to make money...
Not proud of it today, but a friend and I made a pretty penny before they modified the trade system. We botted essence to sell, and then sold the gold for real money.
@omniguy8426 Oh I was talking about quests/storylines, not really mechanically. I personally prefer RS quests, but they did a fantastic job in FF. Also what's wrong with looking at what works to fix what's broken? Yea it's a bit derivative, but better than leaving it a mess.
@@OmniDan26 they took ideas from the most successful game on the market at the time? Shock horror, how could they, such outrage. All game developers rip ideas from each other you buffoon, it’s why the idea of MMO tribalism is so fucking stupid. No matter what game you play, you want the competition to thrive because that success only pushes your own game higher. And that’s exactly why final fantasy is as loved and successful as it is.
Had just finished setting up pc in new home and this popped up. Perfect timing XD and now I have an insight into Runescape . I consider this all very coolbeans 👍
Yeah, one correction springs up immediately. The three-tier subscription for premier no longer exists and was done away with mid-2022. Now there is a single Premier level that offers benefits and perks along with a 12-month sub at a discounted price. The 3- and 6-month options are still available but only offer the discounted price for the sub but have no additional perks such as RuneCoins, pets, outfits, auras or anything else.
Excellent video, have subscribed as I'd like to see more from you for both RS and other games! The fully narrated quest story model is definitely one of, if not the best features of RuneScape, and it has some excellent story lines to work through, if you're into that kind of thing - especially the apocalyptic Elder Gods story line which has been several years in the making and only culminated recently. The end game content is really enjoyable too, though it does have a few DPS dummies there are also some very mechanically challenging bosses that have been released recently. Then there's the numerous skills available, most if not all of which have important parts to play in getting to and enjoying the endgame content as well as just by themselves. Even the previously useless Firemaking skill has had some improvements to make it useful with incense sticks being introduced. You can get your food from Fishing and Cooking, your potions from Farming and Herblore, runes from Runecrafting (RuneScape uses an item-based magic system instead of a mana-based one), melee armour from Mining and Smithing, etc. You can also forego the skills and buy most of the products from the skills from other players if you wish to purely focus on combat for most of the game (however, there are some endgame items that are not tradeable so will require you to have the skills to produce them yourself). As noted by you, you're not restricted by your character in which class you want to spec into, you can be a mage, a warrior, an archer - no need for a character for each, just train the relevant skills. The only issue I see with this is that they haven't quite worked out how to push people to play different roles effectively. For the most part in the end game tank gear is useless (better than nothing at all, but you're better off with DPS gear typically two tiers lower than your highest available tier tank gear), with only certain high level tank sets having niche uses (Achto and Cryptbloom (mage only) gear). The vast majority of people opt for DPS roles and gear, with only a handful of bosses requiring a tank role or two and even then they would usually perform that role in DPS gear anyway. There are typically no support roles as the sandbox nature of the RuneScape combat system means DPS and tanks have access to support spells and items so can easily support themselves. Most people's biggest gripe with the game is definitely the sheer amount of micro transactions it has, which have steadily gotten worse over the years. Treasure Hunter is probably the biggest villain because of its gambling nature; but there's also premium currency which are purchasable: bonds (though being tradeable in-game it is often not as harshly criticised as it also means if you play the game right you can do P2P content without paying a penny), treasure hunter keys (for Treasure Hunter, as mentioned previously is basically gambling) and RuneCoins (Can be spent in Solomon's store, not as harsly criticised as there's no gambling element involved and only gets you cosmetics). There are also Loyalty Points which accumulate as you remain a paying member, which can get you auras which can be a powerful addition whether you're skilling or PvMing - typically not criticised as they are seen as a part of the package when paying for membership and cannot be bought outright. Then finally there is also Yak Track, which at the beginning was promised by Jagex to be a replacement for Treasure Hunter, where it didn't have the gambling feature and could be completed by doing the tasks set for each level but also has it's own currency which can be bought to skip these tasks and advance through the levels with IRL money - or bonds, but has since become another micro transaction in addition to the loathed Treasure Hunter it was meant to replace. One other negative for the game is a lack of updating the low to mid PvM scene compounded by the games age; as some time ago its combat system went through a huge rework, turning it from the basic click-and-wait/special attack system it was before to the new complex and engaging combat system it is now. There are a lot of old bosses that were once high level content that have now been power crept to be low/mid level and no new low level bosses have been added that engage with the new combat system. So you don't really get to play with the new combat system in a challenging way until you reach some of the upper mid level bosses (GW2, etc) as the now low level bosses (GWD1, etc) are made too easy by the new combat system and its higher damage output. Another (perhaps) negative for RuneScape is that PvP is pretty much dead. This is not really seen as a problem by the vast majority of players, who are split between being casual players who like to have something laid back to do so they can relax, and people who enjoy high level to endgame PvMing. Most of what was a once huge and thriving PvP community have moved over to the old school version, it's typically seen as the place to go for 'Scapers looking to do some PvP, while it also does have its own high end and endgame PvM offerings too. I'm currently on a bit of a break from the game that has grown up with me for a good 16-18 years of my life, as my preferred way of playing is quests and enjoying all the lore this game has built up over the 2 decades it has been around for, along with some casual PvM and skilling. My break is me waiting for the next big storyline to start rolling into gear, which will take some time - but I will be back. :)
Welcome to the community! It's nice to have a fresh set of eyes on a game I've played for 16 years. Its still funny that the 'newer looking game' is older as RuneScape 3 is a continuation of Runescape 2 (RuneScape 2 accounts carried over to RuneScape 3 when it was updated), and that the 'old version' is newer as Old school RuneScape was made from a RuneScape 2 backup dated in 2007 and released in 2013. It's like wow and wow classic.
It truly is. It has been crafted with such love and it really shows. I've played since RuneScape 2 came out and I still go back to it time and again. I wish you a fun journey and happy adventuring.
I still remember playing this back on 56k modem dialup, getting interrupted when receiving a call, and telling my parents i was doing research for school so theyd buy me a 1 hour prepaid card.
RuneScape has been with me for the last 20 years of my life, and I couldn't be prouder of this review. You've got the comparisons between versions, as well as other MMOs, perfectly. Great video! I would say there's a lot to do in free to play before you start paying, but it's the one game where I don't even consider the cost!
One thing to note is you can advance the chat box with space bar instead of always clicking on it. At least it used to, im not sure if it still does in RS3. Honestly im really surprised by RS3. Its changed so much that I actually would love to come back and try it out again. I finally achieved my first 99 last year, so it would be cool to play it next year and see how far I can get in a year.
I always want to multitask and Runescape let's me do that, i can play while watching videos or listening to podcast. And the fact you can run the game on literally anything is amazing (PC, laptop, tablets, smartphones) without having to drop a bunch of money on the hardware alone, now i just need to convince my little brother to play with me before his child is born😂
One tragic thing about RS3 is the lack of real and engaging early game bosses. The late game has lots of bosses that go from simple dps dummies to unique and challenging bosses that scale in difficulty massively and require players to take full advantage of the combat system. Fighting them for their rare drops is one of the biggest parts of the game and it is utterly absent from the early and mid game, meaning new players miss out on a huge portion of the game when deciding whether they enjoy it or not.
So true, the few existing F2P bosses (updated Giant Mole aside, which I believe is F2P?) are old bosses (i.e the King Black Dragon (KBD)), built around the old click-and-wait/special attack combat system. I think they could definitely do with adding a couple more lower to mid level bosses that engage the new combat system. The Arch Glacor (a P2P boss) does a good job of being an easy boss with the mechanics turned off, that can then train you to use the new combat system in a PvM scenario at higher levels as you can turn on the mechanics on one-by-one, eventually working your way to all mechanics on at the same time and then eventually hard-mode, with each increasing difficulty granting you better rates for its higher level drops. I would personally like to see the World (Gielinor) stretched out a bit more, but with all the teleports you have access to I can see it not happening in the near future, if at all. The greater render distance definitely does show how condensed the World is, though, when it allows you to see cities as if they're almost on top of one another.
@@xCDF-pt8kj How does it compare to other MMOs? I know RS3 does have people doing stuff in beginner areas and obviously the 'main' areas - priff, high level skilling areas, etc
@Liberals now know Biden was the worse choice the interface is definitely a huge problem as well. The default interfaces are basically useless, which turns new players off the game. They really need to give players a default interface that is based on the style most end game pvmers eventually go to. While the pvm interfaces may seem busy compared to the defaults, the access to information/utility on them is way better since you will generally never have to switch any windows while fighting and they almost always have 3-5 action bars displayed centrally.
I remember doing quests like Desert Treasure and Regicide back in the day, there was so much preparation and it was such an epic journey. Played a lot of castle wars, fishing at the elite guild house, getting my hero's cape... A very well made game, even if it is a bit dated. There's a reason Runescape is the king of click to play MMOs.
I think this game helped me to understand that the feeling of exploration is never about the size of the map, but about how difficult getting to areas are. When you did regicide and monkey business etc you went to places you hadn't seen before. The small number of clearly visible quests also made them feel like true achievements
That line about finding adventures under that guy's house had the words stranger danger echoing though my mind 🤣 glad to hear you had fun with it! Amazing video as always my friend! 😄
Very good video. I'm glad you showcased all the benefits as well as the downsides of the game and its subscription model. We're always welcoming to new players, so if anyone here is curious, the first thing you should probably do is join a clan. There is no question that is too stupid to ask in a clan chat, and usually someone will help you out immediately. You can also access what is arguably the most comprehensive and informative game wiki in existence through chat integration by typing "/wiki [query]" into the chatbox. For example, if I typed in "/wiki raw lobster", a wiki page would open to a backlog of all known information about raw lobsters: their release date, where they can be caught, any graphical updates to them, their value in player-to-player trade, how much XP you'll earn from catching and cooking them, etc.
I love runescape but I had issues with people hacking my accounts so I stopped playing. I would love to play it again eventually if I can finally not get my account hacked.
Great video! RuneScape has been a huge part of my life for most of my life. Been playing it on and off for 20 years or more, and I'm always pulled back (As they say, "You never quit RuneScape, you only take long breaks.") I used to play RS3 because I quite simply was playing the entire lifespan of the game as it grew and that version of the game is where I ended up, but a little while after OldSchool released I gave it a try and I was hooked. I haven't looked back since. I find I prefer the simplicity and lack of noise. it's a truly calming experience, but there's immense depth to be found there as well that to this day I've barely dipped my toes into. Also, extremely worth noting, OldSchool RuneScape has _none_ of the microtransactions that RS3 has. You simply have a monthly membership, and it asks nothing more of you. No funbucks, no tempting you with loot crates, no limited-time cosmetics, OldSchool makes no attempts whatsoever to get you to open your wallet further. And in the aggressively monetized game culture we live in right now, that is extremely refreshing.
Great vid! I was an osrs player about 10 years ago. Now I'm finally working and can afford a full membership to properly enjoy the game again at 23 year old :) Subbed.
now there is one thing that im surprised you didnt mention in this, which is the "membership" is actually completly free in this game too through playing the game due to the "bonds" being tradeable and redeemable after using ingame money
been playing since 2005. Fantastic new player perspective and really shines on what true magic and story telling that Runescape delivers, both versions.
the other thing about runescape which i havent seen in other MMOs is you can use in game currency to by bonds which allow you to buy membership and all the other things you mentioned. i dont know of any other model that allows you to do that.
Good video, liked and subbed. Hope to see you grow over the years. Been playing Runescape since around 2005 so these types of videos are my cup of tea.
As an 18 year veteran of Runescape with thousands of hours, this was a great review and overlook of RS3! With Fresh Start Worlds, pay to play could never be easier too!

I’ve been playing Rs3 for 5 years now. I’m a casual player but I honestly love this game. It’s so chill and great if you want to take time on getting skills up or just do some questing.
@@TitusMH true but still depends on the person individually I did start 2006 or 7 but never thought what's it's prime is soo I allways stayed with rs3 gotta be more aware my dude just saying :)
I’m truly curious if this was a sponsored video or not because Runescape has content creators do reviews like this all the time. Nevertheless, phenomenal work!
I doubt Jagex who make RuneScape would be interested in undisclosed sponsorships. If Jagex got caught breaking laws like that they would get fined a lot of money by authorities, and the ownership at Carlyle Group would fire a lot of people and make sure none of them ever get work in the UK games industry or marketing. It's a decently big video game developer and publisher from Cambridge United Kingdom, not some small Chinese company making weirdly shaped plastic containers.
I'm typing this not even 3 minutes into your video but my god you have me in stitches LMFAO almost choked on my drink after your comment about if an adult ever tells you to explore their basement LOL. Brilliant video and I've still got over 10 minutes to go, masterpiece already. Keep it up man can't believe I've only just discovered you, deserve way more views and likes
As a long term player of the game, this was a good video but really only scratches the surface .There is an unbelievable amount of content that has kept me playing for 15 years and there really is content for every type of player. There are chill and relaxing elements, with afk/second monitor being a core identiy of the game, however the high end content scales in difficulty and skill almost indefinitly with high end PVM requiring hundreds of actions per minute and abseloute concentration. For those wondering if RS is for you, my best advice is to try it out, just be prepared for 2 things: 1. If you enjoy it be prepared to sink a lot of hours into the game (my play time is ~15,000 hours and im not even close to a top player). 2. Microtransactions do feature heavily. They are optional and nothing is gated behind them but they will save you a lot of time.
Wonderful video, and I love the fresh perspective on the game - those seem hard to come by nowadays as far as video reviews are concerned. I would like to add that bonds (the major premium currency) can be traded on the player market, making the game (potentially) completely free to play - just as a side note, it will take a long time most likely to get to that point, but it is absolutely doable.
this is truly runescape through the eyes of someone new, very informative. Trust me though the content you talked about in this video barely scrapes the surface, as in 1% of it.. Its a deepdive that keeps on going with high density content for years on end.
Ahh I loved OSRS growing up. I honestly believe they made a huge mistake with RS3 and the EoC rework this was around the time I quit as my old OSRS character was lost to the void. The hours I put into runecrafting to reach a career high of 12 on the highscores just to be washed away was a sad time. Still have fond memories of that game though.
Loved this game. I had to finally give it up. It's a real time killer. I was off and on with it for ten years and finally gave away all my money and items. I hate/love watching videos like this because it reminds me of how much I loved this game in the day and why I can never play it again lmao. Very well made video. Well written, well edited, very fair assessment of the game and a nice dash of humour. If all your vids are like this you should be well over 40k subs.
RuneScape always had more interesting questing than most other MMOs, even the ones that weren't free to play. And I'm talking from the actual original Runescape. Before what is called "old-school RuneScape" now. I remember a quest in the OG where you had to sneak into a palace but first you had to gather materials to craft an outfit that would make you look like a princess or something like that. And then the quest where you had to gather materials to make a holy sword in order to kill a big demon in the middle of a stone henge equivalent structure. That was my first ever introduction to MMOs when I was a child. Imagine my disappointment when I finally tried to get into other ones with that as my bar for quests and it's all just "kill 10 tigers and report back".
Also, 4 jumpers?! That must be a truly sub-zero winter...in F; because it'd be too easy in C. For me, around the house, normally I'm only in T-Shirt and shorts; doubling up with long-sleeve sweatshirt and long pants only when outside temperatures go below 20 degrees F.
I am happy to see a new face trying Runescape out. As someone who has been playing since 2006 I don't really remember what got me hooked on Runescape, so I find it hard to convince other friends to try the game out. I tried with 2 of them but with me being a member since 07, I forgot how many boundaries there were in F2P worlds. It didn't make a good impression when everything that I wanted to show them was behind a paywall.
0:57 late 2000s*, But this was a great video, definitely earned a sub and an addition to my "Great Content from Other Creators" channel playlist, well done!
Since you're doing some old school games, I wish you could do Ultima Online, but just don't see how you could get a humorous video out of it, especially since it's much more free form.
7:40 those are actually reserved for the challenge system rather then quests. Although seem to recall only the daily challenges actually gave anything.
RS is just massive. Played 04 to 08 then on and off for awhile on osrs. Never played RS3 but you made it look good. The community this game made is just something else
As vet of over 16 years, I like seeing that people still have a lot of good things to say about the game. I came back a few months ago and have just been enjoying the content, I even got into PVM. While I do see why people play OS, I just can't get into it cus the old grind and having to start over. OS is definitely way more popular on Twitch due to the pvp. Rs3 still has pvp, but it might as well not exist now. Content and gameplay wise I prefer the new game. Skills may be faster to level, but they are also more interactive. No more days of click a rock, wait 5 mins for an ore, repeat. You can afk the new system sure, but its way faster to refresh your stamina and switch rocks as "rocertunities" appear. The grind is still there, and anyone saying it no longer exists is lying to you. It just isn't as tedious and boring like it used to be. I want to try end game in OS, but the grind is what is stopping me. It was ok 16 years ago, but I am ready to do high level content. Maybe eventually I will level my character and do some endgame. For now I got some bosses in RS3 to kill.
Brilliant video, however, the high-end of RS3 PVM (Killing bosses in the new Runescape) is as fast-paced as it comes with your Actions per minute reaching obscene levels. RS3 also has many methods that are far more active or click-intensive when training skills that typically offer greater rewards in terms of Gold and Experience, if playing a chill game was not what you had in mind. I find that your choice of how the game experience will be is what makes the game truly unique and worthwhile, the way in which you play is completely up to you as you're not locked to any skill, style, or method. Do give it a try if you're debating on playing!
RS3 is less of an overhaul and more the result of continuous evolution throughout twenty+ years of development and content. Its still one hell of a game, and the quests are out of this world good! Some of them can make you laugh your heart out, others make you cry tears of sadness and sorrow, and some are downright epic in feeling and scale. Yet always with a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor to balance out the pathos.
I love Runescape, you never quit you just take a long break right? Lol. I'm on break currently. Admittedly I'm tired of the way they monetize the game :/ sure, I can choose not to purchase like I normally do: But the monetization of the game screws with the economy like crazy and it can be frustrating at times. Anyways; this video was awesome and I'm definitely subbing
I've been playing Runescape since i was like 7 years old and its still one of my favourite games. The only actaully negative aspect about the game is treasure hunter (the lootbox system). Personally i am playing the ironman mode (ironman mode is a mode where you play without trading/assistances from other players) where treasure hunter is disabled but i didnt really care about it when i played on a normal account a few years back, the rewards from it is basically just enhanced xp making the game easier. So in conclusion; try it and if you dont like the p2w treasure hunter try it as an ironman. Also.. Great video, i really appreciate that you actually put time and effort into the review
Okay, this video was amazing, but the added in DSP "chill" stream clip absolutely had me in tears. For that, you can take my like and have a sub while we're at it. Good day, sir!
Yeah, that was a complete blunder on release. They've been reworking it over time since then so while not perfect, it is definitely a lot better than use it to be, and they're continuing to improve it with QoL updates.

Ff is a garbo wow clone. Hell, even in interviews the dev's said they had to play a ton of wow to save it from its horrible launch.
@@DeimosDread I think ESO has pretty good quests too
wait, are you talking about Final Fantasy? A MMO? I thought it was a singeplayer jrpg
I'm in a quest and lore focused clan. We've been a clan since before citidales and actual clans were a thing.
It's like wow and wow classic.
i just started playing mmos and started with runescape, i can already say its a masterpiece
Gratz
【Shades Finnish Pirates】Perfect video, had a lot of fun & meaningul experiences and i hope to see lot's more!
DK’s (especially Rex): Am I a joke to you??
@@xCDF-pt8kj How does it compare to other MMOs? I know RS3 does have people doing stuff in beginner areas and obviously the 'main' areas - priff, high level skilling areas, etc
@@xCDF-pt8kj Yeah I think the issues with RS3 is just a design thing, I hope they fix it, a lot of minigames and such for instance are dead lol
As a runescape content creator myself i really appreciated how informative and well edited this video was, great job man :D

Never thought about it, but RS being chill is exactly why i love it. Nice vid
Hahah the penguin animation is great. There's an entire Penguin quest line in the game where the penguin civilization is planning world domination.
"Especially if it was you Richard". That had me laughing. Subbed.
My guy single handedly called out the entire rs community, and im one of them haha
been playing since 2005. Fantastic new player perspective and really shines on what true magic and story telling that Runescape delivers, both versions.
would love to see more RS3 content, nice video!
Your video is incredibly amusing. You did a really good job on framing Runescape as a game and a chill crazy experience.
the other thing about runescape which i havent seen in other MMOs is you can use in game currency to by bonds which allow you to buy membership and all the other things you mentioned. i dont know of any other model that allows you to do that.
WOW,sub for gold
Good video, liked and subbed. Hope to see you grow over the years. Been playing Runescape since around 2005 so these types of videos are my cup of tea.
The ending with the penguins had me rolling lol. Grew up with this one. great video
As an 18 year veteran of Runescape with thousands of hours, this was a great review and overlook of RS3! With Fresh Start Worlds, pay to play could never be easier too!
18 years of osrs xp waste, what a shame!
@@hughmann706 I played through the days of OSRS. Trust me, that isn't what Runescape was in 2007, and I definitely don't want to go back to that grind fest again.

I’m truly curious if this was a sponsored video or not because Runescape has content creators do reviews like this all the time. Nevertheless, phenomenal work!
Not a sponsored video mate. If I ever do that it would be front and centre to let you know before hand.
UA-camrs are required to specify whether or not a video is sponsored.
Just discovered this channel, great high-quality content!
For those wondering if RS is for you, my best advice is to try it out, just be prepared for 2 things:
1. If you enjoy it be prepared to sink a lot of hours into the game (my play time is ~15,000 hours and im not even close to a top player).
2. Microtransactions do feature heavily. They are optional and nothing is gated behind them but they will save you a lot of time.
rs3 has the best soundtracks in an mmo ever made. Very distinct and memorable
Those songs will be with me forever.
Runescape is my all time favorite game, no questions asked.
You deserve a raise, how much are we paying you right now? Double it! You deserve it!
i’m trying so hard to get into runescape i played like 15 years ago and enjoyed it but it’s so complicated now
I'm fairly certain that blue box with all the penguins in the desert is a Doctor Who reference lol
That was hilarious. Great video. Ecgburht, what a name. lmao.
this is truly runescape through the eyes of someone new, very informative. Trust me though the content you talked about in this video barely scrapes the surface, as in 1% of it.. Its a deepdive that keeps on going with high density content for years on end.
Your have a very nice voice to listen to, perfect for narrating! (I'd love to listen to a listen book made by you, or a nature documentary)
I played the classic Runescape bewteen 2009-2012, such a great time!
Ditto still hurts 😂
Loved this game. I had to finally give it up. It's a real time killer. I was off and on with it for ten years and finally gave away all my money and items. I hate/love watching videos like this because it reminds me of how much I loved this game in the day and why I can never play it again lmao.
Very well made video. Well written, well edited, very fair assessment of the game and a nice dash of humour. If all your vids are like this you should be well over 40k subs.
"Especially if it was somehow you Richard" caught me off guard that was awesome humor. Thanks for the laugh🤣
"farted in someones kettle" broke me beyond repair oh my god
"A piercing note" was the first voice activated quest in Runescape
'especially if it was somehow you, richard' made me sub. man that caught me off-guard LOL
OSRS UIM right here. ;) Got to Agility 90, at which point I tapped out from the brain-numbing grind. Dude that's painful.
Also, 4 jumpers?! That must be a truly sub-zero winter...in F; because it'd be too easy in C.
For me, around the house, normally I'm only in T-Shirt and shorts; doubling up with long-sleeve sweatshirt and long pants only when outside temperatures go below 20 degrees F.
very informative for a newbie like me getting into rs3. that dsp clip is gold!
Mitch, you are underrated.
expertly crafted video, made me seriously consider this game
I am happy to see a new face trying Runescape out. As someone who has been playing since 2006 I don't really remember what got me hooked on Runescape, so I find it hard to convince other friends to try the game out. I tried with 2 of them but with me being a member since 07, I forgot how many boundaries there were in F2P worlds. It didn't make a good impression when everything that I wanted to show them was behind a paywall.
It was the people and social aspect that got me hooked back then

Since you're doing some old school games, I wish you could do Ultima Online, but just don't see how you could get a humorous video out of it, especially since it's much more free form.
I would love to see this series go on to beating Elvarg.
I love this type of content and the humor everything was so amazing
7:40 those are actually reserved for the challenge system rather then quests. Although seem to recall only the daily challenges actually gave anything.
I'm in love with this game for over a decade now
Been playing since 2007 ish myself I love the game ever since I first played.
Still hoping to see that follow up video on your Runescape adventures ;)
For now I got some bosses in RS3 to kill.
yes mate we need more videos , the game has so much we don't know about the OG's don't need to grind anymore but they don't know any better.
Love you Mitch. Your videos always have a great tone, are really chill and positive vibes all around.
I started playing just over 10 years ago. Nowadays I mostly play old school though.
Sir, you have beaten the youtube algorhytms. Subscribers incoming :)
if you keep this pace and quality, you going to reach 100k subs in no time
MitchManix has an epic voice.
ah rs3, the game ive spent 5k hours and not regretting any of it. Time very well wasted on a great game:) ty for the review
Also.. Great video, i really appreciate that you actually put time and effort into the review
i would've liked to get into this, i enjoyed the few hours i played, but cant get fully into it cause of my high ping. a shame really

Yeah, that was a complete blunder on release. They've been reworking it over time since then so while not perfect, it is definitely a lot better than use it to be, and they're continuing to improve it with QoL updates.
