Based on what I've seen from tech scammers, they actually have little to no technical knowledge except for maybe the occasional made-up lingo or things like syskey or netstat and such. I would think that the script they follow is probably made by a higher up that may or may not be invested in working with computers that exploit the older generations' lack of knowledge. I suspect that scams will become much more scary as time passes as scammers will need to adapt to the upcoming generation that has lived their lives immersed in technology.

I once had a sucessful scam bait where my character was from Norway and would only reply in norwegian. It even got so far that the scammers would translate their mails to norwegian first before sending them to me. Quite funny, especially if you introduce some mispellings so hopefully google translate will not be able to translate some of the messages fully. And you don't even have to worry about not being able to speak a foreign language, just translate it with google translate. Remember: It's all about wasting the scammer's time.

This is 2 yrs old,but scams are scams, I've just found your channel. but Ive been watching Browning, kitboga, Boda, all of them for a long time now. I'm happy that I also love your other hobbies. Your whole channels Great. With telling family and friends about scammers, some of them just don't want to believe that they're being taken for a ride. I had,I say had,as he got so angry when it turned out I was right, that I told him to take a flying jump. He was in a * Love Scam* and lost, he said about 30,000 so I'd say it would be alot more. He'd Never even spoken to her Live, only spoke to a woman on the phone. That's it. I said that a male was probably scamming him and just getting his wife or lady friend to talk to him. That didn't go down well. His bank even cut ties with him, telling him he was being scammed. He just didn't listen. All you can do,is hope that they'll have some sense knocked into them. I think that these love scams are the most heartless. Much love from Oz 🌲❤️🇦🇺🥧☕

Atomic shrimp another great funny video. It's always great to see what ways you will jerk these scammers around. Endless diversions, meaningless little nitpicking, all kinds of nonsense.
I had tried something recently, just as a way to mess around with a scammer. I replied to an email, they asked for payment (of course) and I responded "Ok, I will get it, somehow..." Next email, I said I had 'robbed' a local gas station for the money to send. Not surprisingly, after a few surprised emails, they didn't seem to care. As long as I said I had the payment to send.
But here's something else I have wanted to try: at some point during the conversation, have some 'emergency'. Either the victim has been in an acident, or another family member has. Perhaps even respond a week later as the victims 'layer'. It would be interesting to see how far they will go to get that money, even during something like a death of a family member.
    Keep up the good work.

While *I* know the answer is basically always yes, I've noticed that some new opening templates you've gotten are quite well-written, which may throw off more gullible people - keep in mind, some of your advice is to check wheter the e-mail has correct spelling and grammar or not, and this scam's opener look like it's A-OK.

Take a reply, put it through such wonderously different languages as Hebrew (or any Levant language), Igbo (or any African language) and Mandarin (because why not), then send it back to them. Make sure to bait them on with promises of money, if they don't understand you, make it clear "I no speak english".
You take a normal reply and get total nonsense as a result, then send them a messege in a completely different language that says "Forgive me, I don't speak English".

I was really disappointed they didn't seem to have the same commitment that these ones do. And I was not wasting my time, by 'hound them' I just mean keep emailing them asking if there's anything else, etc. Nothing I had to devote time to.

It's not possible to win every battle. The videos I publish here are a small fraction of the number of attempts I make to bait scammers
One trick that does work for me is to start off by seeming to be interested, confused, innocent and trusting - this gets the scammer firmly on the hook before I can then divert into nonsense and delay. If at any point I sense the scammer's impatience rising, I fall back to being softly compliant, then build up again. Its exactly like fishing.
