Wow. No dog in this fight but Baylor deserved to win. Great clutch hit but the first Tennessee run was a fluke texas-leaguer and to have someone hit a HR like that in the last inning who isn’t much a threat is a tough way to lose. Great comeback by Tenn but I think most will come out of this game more impressed by how Baylor played. That Tenn lineup has some elite hitters but it’s not very deep. They will again have to win with pitching.
My takeaway as well. I’m more impressed with Baylor and their performance than the Baylor pitcher leaving one over the plate in the 7th. After all, she had shut down TN all night. I’m sure TN talent hype is a bit wrongfully inflated coming off of last season. I see them struggling without Rogers this season.

@@alexray1225 Well hey no one claimed Karen Weekly was an elite coach, so barring injury - I can’t help you there with her decision. The entire video and thread was about Game 1 though. For clarity, go back and read earlier posts if you need to….I wasn’t even aware there was a 2nd game. If I want to speak on that game I’ll go watch that video’s highlights. I credited Baylor’s pitcher for her performance tonight with the exception of the 7th inning. After all, she gave up what, 3 hits? 2 if the HR didn’t happen. That deserves recognition (I’m not even a Baylor fan). I also believe TN isn’t worth the hype or the preseason ranking. Those are two independent trains of thought - Baylor pitching in Game 1 and my thoughts on TN. Sorry if that upsets you. It’ll be ok.
