When I was watching videos of this series on UA-cam I didn't realize they existed five centuries back. I hadn't heard of this dynasty here in India and their palaces are still intact and look not more than a century old so this clip came as a surprise. 😅
yeah the otoman dynasty came to rule in 1299 and most of the sultans from the series are from the 16-17th century, however the ottomans ruled in turkey until 1922. It’s fascinating

The point is Sultan selim although played the game well he was traumatised and became drunk and known as the drunk sultan
