Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

Omg, I thought I was the only one worried cause I didn't see anyone talking about it, cause I know he didn't post yesterday and when I saw he still hadn't posted today I was going all over social media trying to see if joey or daniel posted anything about lark cause I was worried something went wrong with her. and then I found nothing so I just let it go praying everything is alright and then I see this and I immediately click on it, I was thinking maybe it went wrong by Lark possibly not wanting anything to do with them, kinda like she knows she can't be with them an feed them but it's the opposite... so I don't know what's going on so I'm freaking out about how things got harder... I'm praying for them.

Have you tried letting lark somewhere quiet and comfy and bring one puppy at a time to cuddle(just after feeding time or have a bottle ready). Kids onesie with cutout for tail might work or order a surgery suit online(covers belly from dog getting at it- or in this case the puppies).
Instead of putting a shirt on Lark use a child size one piece swimsuit. You will need to cut a tail hole. Works great!

But what if she need to go to the bathroom. They would have the take is off every time she need to go, and plus she would probably just end up going to the bathroom in the swimsuit. So, I would think about that again, heh.

I think they all get attention, it just isn’t shown in the video. I’m sure Joey and Brandon try to play with the dogs and cuddle them equally, it just isn’t shown

When Joey and Daniel were playing with them outside in the pen, that is what my heaven looks like
You are doing so good with the puppies Joey and Daniel! Maybe you you should give them some puppy toys now that they are teething. And a tip would be to put spoons in a metal bowl in the outside play pen. Their little cumsy selves will run into the bowls and it will make some noise. This will get them used to different sounds so that they arent scared of loud noices when they get older! ❤

Glad everyone's healthy! Definitely anxiety inducing to watch that reunion, can't imagine how it feels for you guys. 😭
But if you haven't already found a solution to Lark's situation, maybe you can try a "recovery suit" for dogs. I watch a cat rescue that uses a recovery suit as a "weaning onesie" on their mom cats with success - they're meant for surgery recovery instead of the cones so a suit would cover everything. It would stop them from comfort nursing even after her milk is dried up (because they'd definitely still try to nurse no matter what) so she can heal up completely and still be involved with the puppies.

Breyergal Isabel you can tell if their eyes are going to change colors though... the really deep blues will stay blue at this age. If they’re starting to look a little dark, they’re going to go brown.

@@maisielouise22 Its not particularly bad to have favorites in the puppies, because they aren't even planning on keeping most of them. They need to choose which puppies will suit them best, and what behaviors they prefer. Just as long as they're all being cared for and loved.

Keep her separate until the end of the course of antibiotics. They are fine without her, and she will be okay too just keep it calm for her. No excitement, hushed tones ALWAYS. Read into signs of stress in dogs too to know how Lark actually is doing. Its hard, you may think shes stressed because she cant feed her babies, but if she didnt want to feed them in the first place it could be the stress of having babies to begin with that shes not taking well to.
Animal behaviour is hard, Its very common for not every dog to take to motherhood 110%
To be honest, I do not think they should have tried to reunite them so soon. She should have still been kept isolated from the pups, especially since if the pups nurse they could become ill due to the antibiotics Lark is taking. Because letting Lark see and hear her babies may have triggered her motherly instincts again and she will just want to get back to them and feed them even more.

Two suggestions, toys and water for the pups
Omg I didn’t even realize he didn’t have water for them 😳 that’s really bad
They aren't eating soft food yet, the hydration comes from the milk (no matter what milk it is) They're also still nursing so water isn't an issue :) toys are a good idea though
Once they start eating solid food they’ll need water. They get hydrated from their milk/wet food. Once they start teething more they will need toys. It usually happens at about 6-8 weeks
They're at about 5-6 weeks I think and with atleast the litters I've dealed with you give them toys at about 8 weeks. Also I would give them water when they convert to real hard/dry food. 😊
