Fill up the cargo elevator with other boxes so they take up all the floor space (don't think you need to max it out, but might as well) and then add the pods and they will spawn clipped inside the boxes but not below the elevator so you can wiggle them free. That's what I did for my Prospector and it worked well once the station sold me enough waste boxes :D
@@zirHazeGaming Hm, AstroMani just put up a video showing that trick with the containers.... He´s using normal containers you can buy from the station instead of ore/scrap containers
What I found to be working for the ARGO pods is take two into your elevator, stand in front of it then move backwards and right until it doesn´t go any further. Now grab one of the Pods whils at the same time pulling it up and to the left ... 80% of the time it glitches out of the elevator.
I know planetary mining was kinda broken so I avoided it. I prefer mining asteroids in space, doesn't seem to be any bugs there. Around any lagrange point with a refinery works for me. Sometimes I dabble with mining in the Aaron Halo. I fly from MIC-L2 to HUR-L4 and stop around 8.2 million kilometers from HUR-L4 ... it's pretty dense there... the price of some of the Tier 1 is different now. Before Bexalite, Taranite and Gold hovered around 7.5K Auec. Now I think Taranite is worth the most around 9K, Bexalite around 7.5K and is around 6.3K. Also there's a lot more variability on the price paid ... Orison pays 9.8K for Taranite, NB 9.5, Area18 9.0K so picking where you sell is a big thing now.
i usually only bounty hunt, been interested in this for awhile, but after seeing what all you have to go through etc...........holy crap lol. not with a 20 foot pole
I've read on reddit that if you buy a bunch of waste material (or any material) enough to cover the first floor on the elevator hangar with scu boxes, the argo pods will go up on top of it and it works. Didnt test myself but if you have the time to test it, could be a good workaround to others haha Thx for the awesome tips on the video, +1 sub
Thanks for the refresher, I have not done mining in my prospector for years. Also not done cargo hauling for long time as well. Last i really played was during last Xenothreat. Finally rebinded my gamepad for 4.0 testing in AC, time to jump back into PU.
@@MrPaulMek Not really. Shooting the rocks/group of rocks is a work around that allows the game to give you more information on them when you scan. It's an old work around. It's a bit silly but it does work. The shooting does nothing (physically) to the rocks. It just allows you to scan them and provide the necessary information.
I've been mining in the belt...I've not had any rocks I can't scan yet. So far I've not had any issues with boxes getting wedged like you have, but I keep my loads small in the event someone jumps me during delivery.
For the bugged rocks, a way to prevent them like 98% of the time is to fly around in scanning mode and then once the rock gets the highlight then switch into mining mode. That's what I've been doing and of the 100+ clusters I've come across in 4.0 only a few of them I couldn't scan.
There is a bug in the TDD sell screen where the goods do not show up as inside your ship. You will see your name in the list of inventory sources, but twice. The goods will be under one of them. Also, since 3.23, the trick of landing at that surface entrance at Microtech and walking into the Commons to get to the TDD to sell, to save taking the train all the way from the spaceport, no longer works. Do it that way and the refinables don't leave your ship and you don't get paid. You get a message on the TDD screen the refinables are "undelivered". Then you have no choice but to go to the spaceport and manually unload them, then go back to TDD again and sell them from local. So just do it the regular way, land at the spaceport and go to TDD .
Sometimes they do pop up to the elevator, but you will always lose a few and then you can't even attach them from the ground because there is no space to position the bag without the ship being in flight!
Wouldn't have as much of an issue with cargo blocking your path with the Freelancer. I used the Freelance Max and it's nice and wide and has two pathways around the cargo grid.
you dont have to take your cargo out - normally ... but the ship choice is bugged and is lying to you - so you have to switch between the different ships until you find your cargo - you might even find it on your own name instead of a ship. When you find it youll see that autoload is already marked and you wont have to unload manually. That worked everytime except once for me.
and unscannable rocks are around - if you find some dont waste your time and look for the next. The proportions between scannable and unscannable can vary - but for me it has been around 70% scannable recently - so no prob
I have same problem in Prospector. 99% of rocks would not scan. My Mole works perfect. CIG are in total chaos. Chris has fired all the good devs and most are new and have no clue how to fix the game. Not to mention their priorities and so far out of order. Management is out of control.
@alextorma2609 actually i have see it in refinery (mic l2-a) but it's also vantage rentals (so lorville and i think it was port tressler cargo center i have seen it too etc. but it's there im 100% sure. lorville i just see it today.
slow money maker there. One bounty hunting mission for 3mins give you 50-60k... your mining session, then refining and then cargo hauling for only 70k... damn... why even mine lol
Some enjoy the mining loop, I do, a few hours mining & waiting for the refinery job to finish got me 1.4 mil auec. Also that 50-60k bunker mission is rubbish in terms of profit when you can earn 337k for a direct hauling mission.
How are you feeling about Prospector Mining in 4.0?
If you go up to rocks with your scanner on and not in mining mode the rocks will highlight and then change to mining mode. Works 98% of the time.
Surprisingly I noticed this worked for me as well. Also if the first deposit didn't scan, I would go to the next then go back and it would scan.
Thank you 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Jep, fill up the elevator, that should work
Tried this but it still didn’t work for me 🙁

@ 2:10 mark - thats been there for a bit now. Its your ship speed. Solid white line is the speed limiter

Glad this helped! Now it’s time to get back out there and mine!
sometimes if you cant scan rocks try shooting them then scan again, i worked for me most of the time
The old workaround of shooting the rocks with your laser repeaters tends to work. I thought that one was common knowledge amongst miners.
I did not know that 🙁
Do you shoot it until they break or just a few shots?
@@setablazehazardous7590 just a few quick shots usually did it back in the day. I recently had to use the technique. I'll check again, today.
You shoot them to make them smaller so then you can mine them?

Ist possible to dump useless ore like iron or titanium from prospector?

Those rocks that you can not scan are probably those "shale deposits"?
The non scannable ones seem to be bugged. Looks like some peeps provided some workarounds
Yea I have experienced the unscanable rocks. I didn't know that shooting the rocks can fix that bug too.
same but only on planets
Def good workaround!
So you cant empty out the prospector so you could go back to mining while the Work order is doing its thing?
That’s how I usually do it 🙌🏽
have you tried putting the argo bags inside a container? not sure if its possible
Ohh that’s actually an interesting idea. Gonna have to test that!

Freelancer is definitely a more spacious ship!
HOW DO I PING ON THIOS VERSION!!!!!
I’m actually not entirely sure!
It's the keybind under the radar section.
What’s a good loadout for the prospector? I haven’t done any mining in a very long time and want to dust off my ship. 😂😂
So I’ve been using the Reiger-C3 module and Hofstede-S1 mining laser.

Aproach the rocks in nav/qt mode and when they turn Blue you switch to scan or mining mode.
Why don't you just rent mole and take bags manually so don't need elevator.
