This song LITERALLY made me cry. i understood her story so much. I’ve also been dealing with the chronic illness and know how hard it is so get through each day. But i am SO proud of her. She is absolutely amazing and hope she gets ALL the happiness she deserves.
OMG young lady. You are so talented and beautiful. I’ve listened to this song 10 times. Not once did I make it through with out crying aloud. I have a 22 year old beautiful daughter caught in a rut, I pray for her every day. She looks similar to you, and has been through some very challenging times throughout her young life. God Bless you. I think the lyrics of this song went straight over the judges heads…….this performance was so heartbreakingly powerful. It hit me hard and the tears fell. My favorite of the night and her best so far. It exposed so much about this beautiful young woman.

@@doctorross1470 well first off I never said her father should be there to see her suffer. If anything her father would be proud of her getting through that song which clearly speaks about her overcoming those dark times in her life. I said proud dad cheering her on not crying dad suffering.
Her songs are amazing. I understand her pain, and it appears she uses her music to work through that pain, which is wonderful.I'd like to hear her sing some upbeat songs; I wanna see that happy side of her. You can do it KB.
I think if she flipped an Adele song to suit her voice she’d be great, “rollin in the deep” is emotional but upbeat but I think song like that will reveal more edge or personality

I'm not sure she will win because most people want polished. They want runs and riffs. However what she has is missing from music today. Everything is auto tuned and played to a click.

an emotional ballad. She had a little hiccup, about to break, very intense, heartfelt. Reminds me of when Kelly Clarkson broke on Idol. Loved those big wails into the small emotional moments. This was a rollercoaster ride.

In 1993, Beth Hart sang her original song Am I The One as a TV singing contestant (she won her season). TV singing contestants from around the world are still singing that song. Kaibrienne should keep promoting her songs after the show.

Whatever happened to her--whether it was a moment or extended through her childhood--just makes me want to hold her and hug her.
I get it, but consider that this song may be a journey through her inner child work. I may projecting my own mental health journey onto her, but that’s what the emotion and lyrics are saying to me. She’s telling the little girl she was that it’s okay, this older, wiser version is in control now, and there’s no reason for the little girl to be hurt and scared anymore. They’re both safe now, and everything’s going to be okay. She’s hugging herself with love in the form of this song. It’s stunningly gorgeous to me.

I totally get the beauty of her emotions that she constantly wears on her sleeve and the amazing voice that she’s been gifted with. But am I the only one that’s pissed off at whoever has hurt this young girl. I don’t even know her story but somebody has severely damaged this poor soul and here we are celebrating her horror. Listen to her lyrics. She’s in a very dark space and she’s crying for help. I sure hope someone’s listening and willing to help rather then simply be entertained

That’s not what I hear at all. I hear triumph. Self love. Self care. Yes, I hear that the little girl was badly hurt, but her current self is in a better place, and she’s taking care of the hurt, scared little girl inside of her. She’s telling the little girl that she’s safe now, and that everything’s going to be okay. She’s wrapping the hurt little girl in love in the form of this song. She’s going to be okay now. That’s what I hear. It’s so beautiful. To be so vulnerable, she must feel safe to tend to the emotional wounds and heal.

I can’t stop listening to this song. I hope she does a remake of it but her emotions are so real. I relate so much to this.
Gotta hand it to her accompaniment for sensing and knowing to stop otherwise it would have ruined the performance by making it seem like a mistake. Instead it turned into a raw moment that I had to watch on repeat. Kudos!
