This is the year it truly becomes Maxey’s team. He’s not a rising phenom anymore, someone who needs to defer to others in the clutch. Watching the summer workouts you’re seeing what real leadership is built upon, dude who has a vision, plan, and work ethic that won’t be denied. Commitment to improve every day is a hella example to his teammates.
No it'll be Embiids team till Embiid retires. Maxey was awful when Embiid was out last season and he was awful in the playoffs when Embiid was off the floor too.
@@playitdontrateithomie-ke9venot till he retires and that’s just not true maxey had many good games and in the playoffs it’s unfair to say that as they’re almost always on the court together but he had a historical performance against the knicks
Really like what I've seen from Dowtin. He's looking like a very confident scorer from all over the court. On the other hand, I'm still annoyed we took McCain over Knecht.
@playitdontrateithomie-ke9ve So your telling me that Tyrese Maxey, a player who progresses every year, with a better team this year, isn't capable of averaging ONE more assist than he did last year?!
@@MrWayn3 Yes. Remember Maxey led the NBA in minutes per game last season too. He averaged 1 less assist per 36. Also Maxeys efficiency significantly decreased since last season. So technically he hasn't improved over the past season. Or at least not as a scorer.
There are 2 scenarios that could happen for me. 1. He will score fewer or similar points 23-25 but will be more of a ball distributor. I mean go from 6 assists to 8-9. He'll play Paul George a lot in the corner. Serve more cuts for Oubre and Martin. Let’s not forget Eric Gordon either. 2. He is often used by Embiid and George and is often used as a catch & shooter who can run free through quick movements and screens (Curry like) His scoring goes up to 28-30
They need to make Tyrese the number one option. Joel should be around 14 pg 10 reb. He needs to take it easy during the reg season so he has some gas left passed the 2nd round
@@playitdontrateithomie-ke9ve Tyrese Maxey averaged 26.3 points, 5.6 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 34 games without Joel Embiid in 2023-24, inline with his season stats. Of course it's easier with Embiid on the court but my point is Maxey should be the first option. He's on the way up while Embiid is on the way down
@@bobbyleeacn Maxey isn't good enough to be the first option. Maxey averaged 54 TS% in the games Embiid missed. Jalen Green efficiency. Stop hyping up the games he played without Embiid as he was awful for the most part. He averaged 61 TS% in games Embiid played last season which is great though.
@@playitdontrateithomie-ke9ve Being the number one option doesn't mean Embiid isn't there. Of course he's gonna thrive with the big man there. Being number one option means they run a majority of the offense thru that person and they get first look at a shot. Embiid is mostly iso / mid range and he's a terrible passer, the ball doesn't move. If you run the offense thru Maxey it'll open up more opportunities for the team as a whole.
@@bobbyleeacn As I said, Maxey isn't good enough to run the offense through. Not only does his efficiency decrease the bigger his role gets but he's also a poor playmaker too. The only way the Sixers can win the chip is to run it through Embiid especially since the Sixers don't have an actual point guard now.
Maxey took the captain america serum
You are absolutely right about Dowtin.

I love Dowtin. I’m mad they signed so many old, slow guards because nurse will always play the vets first.
I think they should get rid of Lowry n put Dowtin on the real roster
Dowtin is nice 👌 I wish 🤞 they get Tari Eason and Griffin for KJ Martin!!
Reggie Jackson is the next best PG

Exactly 💯 not a McCain hope he is trade bait 🙄
27.5pts 7.3asts 5.rebs 1.6stls
all depends on his touches
Maxey isn't a good playmaker so he ain't averaging 7 assists come on mam

Boy oh boy
Lmao Maxey is not averaging 28 points. Not with paul george and embiid there.
Definitely avg around 28 and 6
what is the best lineup for the sixers
Maxey, Lowry, PG13, Martin, Embiid?
I like Oubre coming off the bench
Maxey, martin, PG, Yabusele, Embiid, 6th Oubre, 7th Drummond 8th Gordon
For the OPTIMAL team, it would be ideal for Embiiid [30/10/5] Maxey [25/4/7] PG [22/7/4]...

I’d start Maxey and Council, he’s been balling in the open runs
