Have both kemper player and ToneX but I think about reselling the KP (I had it for years, the Stage, but it didn’t improve, not very convincing for my ear for high gain, and too much compression)
Put the pedal into a POWER AMP and into real CAB and the magic goes away... Sounds like a blanket is covering the speakers, been playing with settings and tried over a hundred captures in the past months, all sound like a blanket is covering the speakers. Currently planning on ditching it and going to Line 6 pedal kind of stuff. Dont take me wrong, its a good pedal and sounds fantastic, but once you put it against other gear more focused on live gigs the magic goes away.
That’s why you don’t know how to use it…you should connect it to a POWER AMP and not a preamp….Then you must use DI captures and not normal captures excluding the cabinet…The fact that you cannot drive a Formula one does not mean that a Formula one sucks…
@@rickymaina Typo its a GTB 150w power amp, my bad. As I said, have been playing with it for while now, read the manual, re-read the manual, seek advice from groups, purchased DI captures, enable/disable settings... etc. Done it all at this point... Its funny how people immediately state "you dont know how to use it" but when I ask them how they setting up theirs, always the same answer: Thru studio monitors... F#ck's Sake... Comparing oranges to apples...
@@silascf Yeah I globaly disabled the CAB and use DI captures only, dont get me wrong, I know I sound too harsh, the pedal sounds great but as soon as you play with other guitar players you can tell the difference not matter the amp they use, thats bugging the hell out of me. I have an EQ pedal so I'm going to try that to see if it helps, downside is that will defeat my purpose of keeping it simple.
@@ecorona21 well mate, nothing can beat a tube amp at loud volumes with a real cab…any digital device is a substituted of a mic’ed amp…that’s why you should use FRFR or going directly to FOH..If you want the real feel of a tube amp, use a tube amp…
Sounds really good! Great video!
Cool riffs, cool video
Very cool video!!

With Midi Chief you can use all 20 presets of the Tonex one pedal, using a midi foot controller.
Awesome video.did you used full gain at the 2c+ chnl??

Did you turn off the cab simulation/ IRs? if you use that situation with a cabinet on, it's not gonna sound right whatsoever!!
