Finally someone made a lights tutorial for VESC. Let me know if you would be interested in selling a PCB like that preassembled. I would (and likely many others) purchase in a heartbeat.
Lemme know when you want to have auto switching lights and a idle option for light show. My vesc will switch the front and rear depending of your direction your going. . Good luck you have just begun.
working on a different version for ubox in the future. It's much simpler to set up on ubox, even without this controller. There is no need for the buck converter or relay.
I was sooo excited to get mine set up, i got everything plugged in and the rear light worked but not the front. I went to check the front led strip with my multimeter and... *pop* 😢 I fried the whole PCB. Got another one ordered but was wondering if I could send you the old one for diagnosis. Thanks man.
no its for the bare strips. Either make the window and silicone the ends, cover the whole thing in epoxy, or just remix the file for the size of strips you want to use.
It's possible to solder an additional output onto the controller, but if you wait a bit I will be releasing an updated one with an AUX output for a 3rd led segment. Could be used for a button, or for halo pads, etc.
I’m getting a vesc XR with 20s2p in stock battery box. do you think I’ll have enough space to add that wiring to the battery box or do I need a torque box?
Awesome video 👍 its about time someone made a tutorial for this!

There’s a link in the description to buy the pcb!
the links don't work anymoree
Fantastic. I’ll definitely order a couple of these.
Thanks for the helpful video! Got my GTV running on stock LEDs with your WLED VESC controller and power supply.

you have so nice 3d printer, that print uniformity is good.

When I add lights to my setups I want them to look like the other onewheel lights, iconic and recognisable from a distance
My presets default to white headlight and red tailight, but its more fun to have options!
@@ericugland7990 for sure! I have Electrolytes. I just like the onewheel lights look the most!
Could you add another port onto it for lights on the footpad?
Clean!!
would be awesome if you could get red flashing from one side to the other like knight 2000 with david hasselhof
Would be pretty easy to make an animation for that! Presets are easy to build in wled.
Great Video! Is there a way to use your controller and LED solution with a Splinted UBOX 100? Thanks, Andy

email me via the website, we will get you sorted. You likely just blew the fuse.
@@ericugland7990 ok sweet! I'll email you.
coool 😎 I want em!
Will the LED strip holder have enough space for the waterproof version of the SK6812 strips?
no its for the bare strips. Either make the window and silicone the ends, cover the whole thing in epoxy, or just remix the file for the size of strips you want to use.
Where can we purchase the heat sink housing for the LilFOCer like the one used in your Floatboxx build for your client?
It is not a heat sink, thats just a plastic cover. Surfdado posted it on thingiverse.
If you have an RGB power button how would you add it into this? ?
It's possible to solder an additional output onto the controller, but if you wait a bit I will be releasing an updated one with an AUX output for a 3rd led segment. Could be used for a button, or for halo pads, etc.
Probably a dumb question/assumption. But the physical button could be optional right?
Yes it’s totally optional. I mostly wanted a quick way to disable the lights, and later discovered how to set up the additional functions in wled
Can you shut off the lights complety with the app?
yes
Roughly what is the wait time for the VESC WLED CONTROLLER (backorder)?
I can't find that individual strip Waterproof - you have a link by chance ?
I am not using waterproof strips, waterproofing is handled by the enclosure.
Ordered. What momentary switch did you use for quick changes?

Do the LEDs change colors to coordinate with going foward and backward?
no, not with this setup.
Does the button need to be a certain voltage?
no, only 3.3v runs on that port. Any momentary button will work.

20s fits in stock xr box, that's what is in my personal board.
what's up with the links
Is there a link to order one of those controllers?
check the video description
Why not add a can bus chip?
wled does not have canbus compatibility.
