Stopping time could be useful if you need more time to handle a complicated situation at worst, or bring a hot burn on someone who just insulted you at best.
As for the control of other people, I was surprised it wasn't mentioned in the video. If we assume a pheramon/mental based control style Purple Man or professor X (and not a voice-based control style Preacher), you already removed the weaknesses of language barrier and headphones. However, you would still need to use the power with caution: the power to make people follow orders will almost immediately brand you as a fascist dictator, even if you don't have much political power, so you would need to keep a low profile before someone tries to kill you

Time manipulation is pretty powerful and practical. You could rewind time for your body to regenerate and you could eat food infinitely by constantly rewinding. You could speed up time to do things faster, stop time and do whatever you want. You could even merge multiple timelines to create clones of yourself. You could erase things out of the timeline and skip time if you're an impatient person
Teleportation was the one I’ve always wanted, especially since I hate car rides and I get motion sick easily, so being able to teleport anywhere to visit my friends any time would be amazing

@@lordpeep22 that's what I was thinking, like if you can shape your body in the way you want you can be another person, more short, tall, buff etc. But that technically includes regeneration abilities cause you are creating mass every time you shift into someone more tall or Buff o when you change into someone smaller and then you go to your normal self.

The problem of immortality is addressed pretty well in Justice League Unlimited when Superman goes to the future and sees vandal savage. A good power for sure, it just really has some problems later down the line

Time stop would literally help you take over the world number 1, steal whatever you want, beat any enemy because you have infinite time to figure out how to beat them or just punch them over and over again in stopped time, that will just keep building up energy until it could knock out or potentially kill anyone or anything. There are so many uses for this power that you could probably learn how to do anything. I think you're missing the point of this vid. These are great powers if you want to join the X-men, but why would the average guy want to swords out of bones? Charm speak and mind manipulation are more grounded though.

Say you’d be so lucky that you can pick out any lotto ticket and it’d win every time, shoot a basketball blindfolded and make it every time, get every answer right on a test by pure luck, bullets would miss you every time because the shooter would have to sneeze or some other phenomenon if you went to war, if you went gambling you’d get the numbers you need every time, every stock you invest in would be the right one, every word you need to say would hit the exact cords they would need for you to convince anybody of anything, etc. it could even be so powerful of being absolutely reality warping if you wanted to. Say others have super powers and they’re trying to kill you, they’d get lucky and destroy themselves with their powers without meaning to. There’s an endless amount of options.

I'm not lucky just for existing. If I were not born, someone else would have born in my place or none at all. Many babies are born by the second every day around the world, really being born isn't some kind of miracle, it have happened since the existence of humankind, moreover, all sexual animals are born around the world too. Being born is one of the most common occurrence events in the world, it is not more luck than it is a superpower.
Honestly, the last one, superhuman intellect and knowledge would be my go-to power, and my most favorite to have. I mean, who wouldn't want to know everything? And since enhanced/absolute memory would probably go along with this as well, I'd definitely go with it even more, as I already have a shitty one. Plus, I could finally come up with some nifty ideas in my storytelling.

An important thing to consider about teleportation, though, is how *safe* it is to use. Like, for all we know, real life teleportation could result in you getting merged into an object, or a living thing. And I'll just let the sheer horror of that thought speak for itself
And honestly, telekinesis is far more useful than teleportation for everyday, even without that potential flaw I brought up. For sure, teleportation can get me to, say, Japan in an instant. But telekinesis still enables quick and reliable travel via lifting yourself up into the air. And it's be even better than teleportation in regards to shopping and vacation, because you can telekinetically carry all essential items with you along the way, while teleportation would require multiple trips back and forth unless you could carry everything at once (and as I've experienced working in a supermarket, people buy SHIT TONS of shit). And telekinesis makes cleaning and menial labor a breeze: just imagine using telekinesis to gather up every autumn leaf into one spot instead of having to painstakingly rake them

The thing is, shapeshifting is not a clearly defined power.
Why? Because it could go from simply transforming into another person to going full biomass style like alex Mercer and transform into a skeletal dragon made of guts and bones, and everything in between.
Hell, with shapeshifting you could deadass become a planet yourself who eats other planets.
Shapeshifting also would make you immortal since you can heal any wound by just saying to your body "produce what you need to heal this instantly" (Including aging)

My top 5 super powers:
5: tireless- never grow tired or exhausted. Sleep only if you want, dont need a break after extreme physical activity. Pairs well with 4 or 1.
4: inertia manipulation- control your body's inertia (an objects resistance to outside force, an object with high inertia is difficult to move when it's not moving or to stop when it is moving). Clever use can simulate the positives of strength and invulnerability without the downsides, while also adding a few extra perks.
3: healing- of yourself and others. Heal any injury or sickness short of death.
2: rewind- can go back in time. Retain memories and optionally physical condition/ inventory. Nerf this skill if you want by adding a limit to how far back you can go- like a day or less at a time- and it would still be broken.
1: shapeshifting- for all reasons as mentioned in video. Required secondary quirk to it being that you take physical qualities of whatever form you take (I.e. taking the form of a power lifter would give you physical strength of one) it is painless, and doesnt require adhering to conservation of mass despite also changing your weight. Neat side effect includes self healing.
Ricky Pedia for the rewind one, even if you could only go back by a day you’d still be able to go back time as much as you want because if you’re going back a day, that day you didn’t go back a day meaning you can still go back a day and repeat.

The real curse is if something happends to earth you might be trapped infinitly in a star, blackhole or something similar.
Immortality just means you won't grow old. A healing factor adds immortality. Some characters could potentially live forever if they dont die of illness or if they aren't murdered but can't regenerate like those with healing factors who just add immortality to the many things that a healing factor gives you
If you were immortal you could gain enough scientific knowledge to make everyone else immortal just like you. You're not thinking about the bigger picture.
I think mind control is also a very practical superpower to have like the purple man in Jessica Jones or Charles Xavier in X-men

The problem with omnipotence its not a power its a status of being, you either omnipotent in the beginning or not there is no middle ground
I think that a very good power to have for real life is control of time. You can just fast forward through something boring and you never had to go through it, you can practically teleport by freezing time and walking where you want to go (and you hunger, thirst, and metabolism would be paused as well, you can slightly make everything around you slower so that you seem faster, and you can just make people go insane or easily troll them.
I've always been a fan of having control over time. You could use the power to make it look like you have basically any other power. Stop time and move a few feet and suddenly you teleported from the outside perspective. Or slow time around you as you punch and you just increased your acceleration so your punch would be stronger since force = mass x acceleration
I feel like immortality would be really useful when combined with something like extreme luck. An immortality/ healing factor could just mean that you might still heal terrible wounds but you would suffer terrible wounds in the first place. Having extreme luck could protect you from most accidents, or people trying to deliberately harm you. Plus luck could keep you from being found out. Alternatively combine immortality/ healing factor with durability or invincibility and pretty much nothing could ever hurt you and you could live forever.

I have sensory differences. For me sound and light isn't just uncomfortable, it is physically painful. I find some issue with making a person have to "push" through the pain so they can go do what other people think they should do. That is really unfair and what I'd call mistreatment. It is still painful, regardless if you can learn to manage the pain.
What is a normal level of conversation for the average person sounds like what you would call a loud rock concert; it really hurts. Sound is a wave of disruption through some medium, such as through air, or an atmosphere like ours, or water. Sounds is commonly referred to in two ways: how loud it is (decibels) and the size of the wave (frequency), which we also call pitch.
There is a decible exaplme chart at www.industrialnoisecontrol.com/comparative-noise-examples.htm. On this chart there are two decibel ranges I’d like to refer to: 60 and 110. 60: “Half as loud as 70 dB. Fairly quiet. Conversation in restaurant, office, background music, Air conditioning unit at 100 feet.”. 110: “Average human pain threshold. 16 times as loud as 70 dB. Steel mill, auto horn at 1 meter. Turbo-fan aircraft at takeoff power at 200 ft (118 dB). Riveting machine (110 dB); live rock music (108 - 114 dB).” I wanted to point out these two examples because as I mentioned before, what sounds like a normal conversation to me sounds like a rock concert to you.
I am able to say this with confidence because at 110 decibels is when sound starts to hurt the average person, for me it starts to hurt at 60 decibels on an average day; some days are worse than others. That would mean on average I hear sound at about 32 times as loud as the average person. Like I said some days are worse than others. When ever I started to need to stim, the more I have to stim to more sensitive my sensory processing becomes. There have been times that at 40 decibels (“One-eighth as loud as 70 dB. Library, bird calls (44 dB); lowest limit of urban ambient sound”) sounds was too loud and started to hurt. During those times in which sound at 40 decibels starts to hurt me; that would make my hearing at around 64 times as loud as the average person.
When ever I am in an area I can hear every little thing around me at once; this, ironically, makes it hard to hear what an individual is saying. There are so many sounds coming at me I can’t decipher where what is coming from sometimes, and when someone is trying to talk to me I can’t hear them over everything else going on around me. It is hard enough to carry on a conversation already, then with all the noise around me it can make it practically impossible.
Light, oh boy. As a kid being outside, period, all I could see was white light. It wasn't till I was in my later years in high school I didn't need to wear sunglasses inside, though I still prefer to. Unless I'm in an isolated area in the middle of night (and I mean around 10pm-3pm, or else there is too much sunlight) I prefer to always be wearing my sunglasses. When ever I start getting close to a melt down any light is just like looking at bright white beams in my eyes. I have a black bandana I wear over my eyes like a blind fold and put my sunglasses over it and close my eyes. Even at night time that usually isn’t enough and the light still bothers me.
Something people confuse is how light works. Photons are particles of light. In the day time there are more photons from the sun to light up the sky, which is why it is brighter during the day time. During the night time there are less photons so it is darker, but when photons are there they are still really bright. At night time it is like looking at a very contrasting picture. Where there is light there is alot, where this is not there simply isn't any light to be seen. Flashlights, or objects that illuminate in a similar fashion (like a phone, laser, or light bulb) have focused light, or in other words photons are focused in a specific area. During the day time, when directly at me, yes that is very bothersome and does does hurt, but because of the contrast at night it really hurts even more. It's like having a migraine in your eyes.
As far as taste, I can't have bitter things in my mouth. They make me want to throw up. I happen to also have ASD, when ever I have to stim, outside what textured object I'm feeling, things, especially people, rubbing up against me or touching me is really uncomfortable and distressing. Tags on my clothes feel like knives on my skin and heat is a lot hotter for me.
I wouldn't call these problems. In certain circumstances they make things difficult, but in others they help. I look at the sky and see where the atmosphere ends, I can see the physical curve of the earth in the sky. I can see light from stars no one else can. I can see every color of the night sky and how they all blend together. I can see details no else will ever see. I use my hearing subconsciously to help me know I'm breathing, I can hear everything around me so I use my ears to guide more than my eyes, using my ears I can "see and feel" everything around me. I can hear air move, and if I focus hard enough and hear my partner communicate in code using her nostrils to push out air so only I can hear her. I can see amazing things you can only imagine, hear everything and everyone, feel everything, and it is the best thing in the world. I live in a society not adapted for me. If it were back in hunter gather times living in woods I would of thrived so much better as opposed to all this sensory information around me all the time every day, and having to fit into a drame work where people sleep during the night and wake during the day when I am the opposite as sunlight and all the sensory overload is very taxing and tiring

Forge and Cypher are such underrated mutants. I really don’t understand why the X-Men have any problems when they have someone who can create anything they need for any situation, and Cypher can understand ANY form of language he comes into contact with including body, computer, and extraterrestrial. Considering everything is composed of a type of language (DNA, Molecules, etc), he can figure out and understand anything.

It's not technically a power it is a power by fact.
I would disagree, because he can literally create anything he can imagine. This includes devices which would normally defy the laws of physics or our understanding of nature. You want an engine capable of faster than light travel, done. You want a device to teleport anyone anywhere, done. A skill is something that anyone can learn. I don't think I would be able to learn how to build a device that lets me travel between parallel universes. Forge could just by wanting to make it.
The ability to rotate individual blades of grass on a cellular level
Having a cloning superpower is very useful when you have several jobs & gaining alot of information after use.
It is also useful when exercising or other abilities you want to learn that takes months or years to do down to a few weeks or days.
A pretty great example of this is Naruto using multiple shadow clones to develop the rasenshuriken in just a few days.
I think density manipulation would be better because you literally can manipulate a law of physics. You’ll have Flight,Phasing,Indestructibility,Super Strength,Super Speed ,Gravity Manipulation(to a degree),Telekinesis (to a degree),Earthquake Generation ,Water Walking and Matter Shifting .
If you are able to manipulate density the things you could mainly do (might be more) would be create black holes, float, make other people and things float and the same for making sink

Magnetism or electricity manipulation. You can control metal or electricity two of the most useful things in this world. And if we use magnetos magnetism than you can control magnetic forces in general which is pretty broken. That or a philosophers stone (converting one element into another). You could make the air into glass or something to walk on or make any food healthy and just make gold out of anything or just have a golden version of something for show.

Shapeshifting would give you a manual healing ability, and the ability to harden yourself, that would already make it pretty overpowered, but I myself would choose to have photographic memory, and an iq score of 900, that grows by 1 point each hour, I could make myself far more powerful through genetic engineering and cybernetics
Edit: also the downsides you mentioned, that people would try to use your gadgets, but you could make a virus safeguard on it, and stuff like them only working when it identifies that you are the one using it, if its someone else, it would give an electric shock that would make them unconscious, and it wouldnt work unless you were the one using it

- Immortality/regeneration - you could end up get trapped somewhere for a long time and would feel a significant disconnect to other people
- Shapeshifting - body dysmorphia, forgetting who you are, getting attacked by who thinks you're someone else
- Teleportation - requires having knowledge of the area you're targeting or any thing could go wrong - also the idea of taking over world with just this is ridiculous since you would still be vulnerable - you're
- technopathy - depends on whether you get the metal upgrade to let you think in a relevantly fast manner (also, nukes are disconnected from external systems to prevent hacking so that's off the table)
- Knowledge - requires you understanding the knowledge, requires you having access to the resources that mean you can put it to good use, requires that it not be the kind of knowledge that will give you existential dread
necessary secondary powers are a thing for a reason and you seem to be ignoring them here while you brought them up in the previous video

Flashes super speed would also be an amazing power it allows one to do everything faster from thinking, to running, to speaking. If someone had superspeed they would be able to go anywhere in the world. They would be able to complete anything incredible fast as well, because their thinking process would be accelerated one could write a book in 30 minutes or complete thier homework in 15 minutes or they can just complete and learn anything they want to in less than an hour.
I'm a huge fan of shapeshifting because in my mind, it should allow you to alter anything about your body. This would include healing your body because a person in a wheelchair could shapeshift their legs or spine to be repaired so they could walk again, A person with cancer could shapeshift the cancerous cells into healthy cells, etc. They would always be healthy.

I think a cool power is a personal pocket dimension if you get in a fight you can throw someone into it and they can't get out, hide things you don't want found, steal anything and not get caught, and you can hide from anyone by jumping in, and if you bend the rules just a little tiny bit you can use it to teleport
The first power I thought was amazing was teleportation, until I found out what DC super speed can do, then I found out about time control powers and I said control instead of travel because it make a big difference, then I thought you may as well just have the power of 1 infinity stone and you are unstoppable if used right

My power is the power to cause a combustion inside and outside my body why allows me to destroy anything in every direction, i can also burn anyone and anything from the inside and cause them to explode and then they instantly become dust and i can do this within any range, i can also cause a napalm that cause a radiation inside someone's skin and causes them to mutate them into something unimaginable " they will be deformed" and unable to use there powers "i they have any" and it can cause to person to be unable to move any part of their body. I can also teleport with this power but i cause a huge explosion as I'm teleporting "without killing myself".
I basically described agent Orange and the Tsar bomb but i can use this power for the military and they would not even know how am i still alive.
The three powers that i always wanted for everyday life is:
1. Shapeshifting (into anything, more like odo from star trek DS9), to be fair thiugh i'd probaly only use it once (just to change my body into one that i am comfortable in and that works) but it could be useful if i need to hide or escape or have to sneak around or spy on someone, also it could work as a healing factor, get injurd, just shapeshift into a version of you who isn't injurd. Just to nerf it my one weakness would be fire and radiation as it damages cells.
2. Telekinisis (chronicle style, so also flight, force field, etc), plus i'm lazy so i'd totally use it.
3. Alchemy, does that need explaining, got to make money somehow and i could also use it to help the poor.
The only other powers i might want is:
1. Timelord regeneration, it is a form of immortality that doesn't last forever and also doesn't get boring as you have a different body and personality every 40+ years.
2. Computer control, could be cool for info gathering and changing my identity when i shapeshift.
3. Healing it would be a cool skill and would be a power that i could use to help those who can't get healing.
Honestly that's really it, i wouldn't want to be more powerful than that, life will still bring challenges that i couldn't fix with my super powers but i'd also be in a position to help myself and others.
As for shapeshifting, it does have issues, like needing to know what is going on exactly where you are going as you could teleport in front of a moving train or car or teleport into someone or something, etc. And i don't think that i'd want rick level knowlege as in some cases ignorance is bliss, knowing everything would probaly be more of a curse than anything, having high level of inteligence though would be cool.
8 month late. But my personal favorite power is that of imagination. Being able to do anything your imagination does. Like all these powers in one. It like how a kid can just be wathever with these imagination. But there are limits like no dead people being brought back, no life being made that's hasn't been made already and some powers are nerfed just because. With this power you are kind of a god but you can still easily die from another imagination based person or something messing with your thoughts. Of course being able to do anything would get boring so you could just think of so strong rodoot to fight. All in all with this power you become a mortal god with the power of any and everything.

I actually think clairvoyance (seeing the future) or immunity of sickness (which may be under healing factor) would be great powers in real life. Clairvoyance would be especially good for things like traffic, as you could see what would happen if you went down one route to work.
