Love sweet Kona! I have a rescued pup, too, her name is Pepper... We were told she is a "Puggle" mix... A pug and beagle mix but she doesn't look like either. She and her litter mates were rescued when the "owner" had broken all the puppies tails and tried to cut the ears off one of the puppies when they were 4 weeks old. Unfortunately Pepper has SEVERE anxiety and is terrified of men, rain, storms, loud noises, etc. We work with her on desensitizing her to things that scare her and show her that we will keep her safe and that she doesn't have to be afraid. She just turned 10 years old on October 31st... We got her when she was 6 weeks old. I wish I could take away her fear. Our Veterinarian says that she has the equivalent to Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, panic attacks and is special needs. Everything we teach her has to be done differently, slower, calmer because she gets so terrified that the Vet was concerned that she would have a heart attack from her heart beating 3x faster than it should. It breaks my heart to see her so upset but then she has awesome days where she plays, sleeps on the couch, wants belly rubs, hops around like a bunny rabbit on walks. She loves it when I hide treats inside balls and toys... She loves pulling the stuffing out of toys and throwing it up into the air. She loves disassembling the squeakers in her toys then will bring them to me for me to reassemble them and she takes them apart. Thankfully she has never been interested in eating any of these... She only does it when I'm sitting on the floor playing with her, it's only a game she plays with me. I enjoy spoiling her! Pepper loves going through boxes and bags when I get home from the store. She also loves smelling books! She loves smelling the scent of who has touched the book or where it's been. One way my dog is spoiled is that she LOVES the really soft throw blankets you can buy during winter. She has multiple blankets (I wait until they're on clearance and buy a couple)but she will pull one of the blankets that are mine and am using and go curl up in it!! She loves it when I bring a clean, warm blanket from the dryer.... She will go curl up IN the laundry basket with the items. 😂 I have several complex medical conditions that I battle daily and Pepper brings a smile to my face, so much love and joy to my life. Life is so much better when you have an animal in your life.

I've spent my life involved in animal rescue and it sure does my heart good to see kind people such as yourself provide such a beautiful, loving home for a dog. It looks like Kona really is a part of your life which is all a dog really wants. She hit the jackpot of happy homes! Bless you dear girl!
What a wonderful life you've given her. Thank you for rescuing. My hope is that someday all dogs will be this lucky and this loved.

My rescue boxer mix, Beau just loves to chase a laser toy when it gets dark. He will bark and cry until he gets his play in. He also loves to chase the pool cleaning robot, just won't jump in, ever. Koan is just adorable!

Aww Kona is such a sweet puppers! I love the ball pit idea. I know my dog would go crazy over it. Her fave toy though is the 2 litre plastic bottles. She always wants them even when they are full. Then once we have a clean one she goes to hide it!
I loved the video and am always looking for more ways to spoil my dog. She is a 5 year old retriever mix rescue. I give her tons of hugs and kisses. I need to try the hard greenies. I just saw tons of dog squeaky toys at Ross.
Try whimzees instead. Greenies have recalls.
Kona barking at the other dogs to try to play was so cute!! I feel like that would be me as a dog trying to make friends too! Also, my dog (a little chihuahua with Kona's same coloring) gets spoiled with blankets. He loves to burrow!
Finding treats in the ball pit is a great game! I love doing brain work with my greyhound. We play the 'find' game, where I put pieces of kibble around the house and put him in a down-stay while I hide them. He also gets his meals put into a treat ball, which he prefers over just getting kibble in a bowl.

I spotted advent calendars with treats for pets (one for dogs and one for cats) and I know it's silly, cause you could just by some treats for them and they wouldn't see a difference, but I will still get one for my aunt's cat. LOL

Kona is so adorable. Please share more Kona and dog videos. I have a black lab. He enjoys rides in the car, getting a small ice cream cone, and getting a bone from the coffee shop. I should take him to the pet store and let him get a toy. I think he would like that, and my son would have fun too. Another thing I do with my dog is take him to the swimming pool - we have a local pool that opens up for dogs for one day at the end of summer. He thinks it’s about the greatest thing ever.

My family has so many damn cats, a dog, two guinea pigs, and a few rabbits- they all get treats basically every single day. My dog has her own couch and chair in the living room, sits at the table like a person and has coffee, gets breakfast made for her, and she gets to run wild outside for hours! My cats so basically whatever they want and have food all of the time. Guinea pigs get loads of veggies and other treats, along with loads for cuddles and exercise! Every summer we build the rabbits an additional pen to add onto what they have already for running around & they each have their own space. But now I’ve moved out and have two cats who do literally whatever they want whenever and a hamster who does absolutely nothing but gets treats all the time, new tunnels, and is out in his ball every night while we cook dinner. They all think they’re queens and kings which I suppose is rightfully so!
She is so beautiful! I have my girl cat Princess Sakura. My boyfriend spoils her with half a can of food every Saturday morning. She knows when it is Saturday too and will mewl until he gets up. LOL He also gives her Temptations. She LOVES these and crunches them for the soft filling. Now my boy Caladriel is a Ball Python. I spoil him by handling him. He loves being in your face and is a big sucky boy. He gives kisses and lay flat on my chest with his cute head into my neck for a hug. I also spoil him by putting the Space heater on in the winter so his tank is cozy on the water and heat side and he loves when I put warm water in his substrate.

When a dog exposes his/her belly it means they trust you. My rescue pup would collapse on the ground in fear when the shelter workers went to feed him or taking him out, but within a week at home he was lying on his back waiting for lots of belly rubs

This was so great! I really enjoyed it. I would say that he biggest way my dog is spoiled is hat when I sit down in my armchair to crochet in the evenings, she HAS to be next to me in the chair. Always on the right side! It’s a tight fit, but I love her, so... 🙂. I’d love to see some doggy DIYs!

I think you are an amazing dog owner and make kona very happy. and I think every dog needs to be spoiled at least a bit :D my dog always watches tv on the couch with me. she's about kona's size so she can only fit if I lay my legs flat. and when I finally do she knows it's because I make space for her and she will jump right up and get comfortable. she really knows how to get spoiled 😂

My rescue pup is the same! She barks at other dogs to play too! It’s so funny cause all she wants to do is be chased hahaha we got her her own little pool too cause it gets hot here in az and she loves it so much anytime the hose comes on she just has to play with it! Kona is so adorable!!!!

Love the video, I would try and find an alternative to greenies though. They aren't the best for your dog especially every night. I would try Whimzee brand, lots of cute shapes too. Usually teeth cleaning treats say to give a few times a week.

I'm not a dog person but this was enjoyable to watch :) Extra love for the music and for an aussie dog!
Zoe is a 55 lb. shepherd mix. She gets a Greenie along with a treat every morning before we walk for 1 hour. About mid afternoon we go to the dog park where she has more friends that I do. I put about 1-2 Tablespoons of real chicken in with her kibble. She also gets bits of Parmesan cheese but that's a once in a while treat. Right before we go to bed, I massage where her collar hits and she too loves those belly rubs on top of the behind the ear rubs. Thanks for sharing. This was so fun to watch.

Our St. Bernard gets peanut butter in her Kong and a massage every morning. Some days she can't decide which one she wants first! Because she thinks she's a lap dog, one of us gets down on the floor at least once a day and lets her lie on a lap. Great for all of us!

Your dog is so cute! Sadly, I’m allergic to dogs more than I am to cats - so I have two cats instead. I love dogs but I always get really bad rashes, i sneeze all the time when I’m around them and if they lick me it gets really itchy :( so glad to see Kona so happy, it’s always sweet. Hopefully one day I’ll get treatment and adopt a rescue dog for my future children hehe then I’ll spoil them
