Everything You Need to Know About Choosing An Engagement Ring in Under 5 Minutes

In this video, I’ll going to give you a 5 minute lesson in how to select an engagement ring.
The Gemological Institute of America or the GIA has a grading scale that grades diamonds. A diamond’s grading and value is affected by the rarity of one or more of the 4Cs. According to the GIA “The 4Cs describe the individual qualities of a diamond, and the value of an individual diamond is based on these qualities.”
The first C is color (0:51). The next C is clarity (1:01). The next C is cut which is all about how the diamond reflects light (1:24). And the 4th C is Carat , or how much a diamond weighs (1:37).
Once you have chosen a diamond the next step is to choose a setting. A ring’s setting determines how your center diamond is mounted. There are endless setting options. Shopping around is the best way to discover what fits your personal style. You’ll also choose the metal type and color.

I was lucky because I love butterflies and saw a butterfly engagement ring online and thought I wanted Ethiopian Opal and amethyst. But changed my mind and now I have a beautiful ring he and jeweller designed of two butterflies one either side and tentacles as setting/prongs holding a Morganite. The butterflies and abit further down have diamonds. It’s gorgeous lol. And my wedding band when I get it will fit next to it perfectly, I saw design yesterday 🥳🥳🥳 lol xx
