And not just him, but the Bullet Club all together. For the longest time, I didn't want anything to do with any other wrestling organization. I knew TNA and ROH existed, but I never cared. However, in the past two years, the things that the Bullet Club and every other indie star has done, I have become a huge independent wrestling fan. I watch Ring of Honor every week, I've actually paid for PPVs not run by WWE, but by ROH and NJPW. I look forward to this match and everything that comes in Kenny Omega's future, because it's a very fucking bright one.

I finally found another job (besides daily work through a temp service at a factory) and that's right around the time WK9 happened (on U.S. PPV!) and Kevin Owens debuted on NXT and NXT really took off. I fell back in love with wrestling for all the good things about it.

Then out TV provider had cut its contract with TNA so I had searched for TNA and finally found it, among more great wrestling in ROH and NJPW
What I like most about this Jericho vs Omega match is I can't tell who heel and who is face because this isn't about heel vs face. It's about man vs man.
There's two US titles in wrestling and both have a tournament in 2017. Except the IWGP had a PPV level tournament while WWE one has a bunch of midcarders and jobbers fighting for it with no reason!
Sarcastic Duck titles in WWE mean nothing. They have no prestige or value. Every Title in NJPW means something. They have the biggest prestige and it means a great deal to be Champion.

I didn't personally see any kayfabe breaking, I saw what bassican7 did - a guy talking way too long saying the same thing and running out of ways to say it. You can only communicate "this isn't going to be like my other matches, this is going to be my more to opponent's style, and it's going to be crazy and a straight up fight" so many ways before the ideas dry up a bit. I think he was trying to think of something else to say and that's what came out. A 15 minute promo wasn't called for here, especially since he said most of this stuff at the press conference already. Maybe he can fight, maybe he can't, I don't know. I've never cared about that sort of thing when it comes to pro wrestling.
I don't see a problem with it. Omega is a fighter that works within rules and a structure. This match is taking that away and he doesn't fully know if he can go there. Will his instincts work? Does he understand that instead of working a hold he can just poke the fucker in the eye and kick him in the nuts? Can he be a fighter and a dirty one at that? I see it as working as he spent the entire first half putting over his technical side. A no-holds barred territories style match is anything but that. So even in Kayfabe it makes sense. He knows he can work and now he has to find out if he can fight. It's gonna be good.
The line was an attempt to be human. Most wrestlers try to appear tough or badass, Kenny likes comics, plays video games and other things so called nerds do. The man trained and had fights in mixed martial arts matches. I doubt that he can't fight.

I’m sure he will do more than this 1 match in new japan. What if Kenny wins? Who will be the next wrestler to challenge him for the belt or will there be another Alpha vs Omega match? Hopefully the match does turn out well. I hate wwe but I was interested to see some of the Joe vs Lesnar. Even though everyone knew Joe was gonna lose to Brock the build up was great. The match was also good. Joe impressed me as expected building up the match. The reason why I mentioned this is because that felt more like a fight then it was just a wrestling match. So Alpha vs Omega is being promoted similar to them. Let’s just hope it does deliver.

One criticism: I think, If Kenny ever DOES sign with the WWE, he needs to work on his promos/acting (though, to be fair - and I'll address this after - he may be delivering it this way for the Japanese audience.). Every other aspect of Omega's game is as good as it can be, but this whole thing felt like someone reading off of cue cards. I didn't feel the passion, I didn't HEAR the passion, I didn't SEE the passion. IT felt forced and unnatural. This is the one fault (If it IS a fault) Kenny has - and one I've noticed for a long time - but one that could hold him back in the WWE. In all actuality (as I alluded to above) I believe Kenny CAN deliver a promo like this and make it feel real, but I think he performs this way for the Japanese audience. Omega is outstanding when it comes to communicating with the Japanese fans. I'm curious to see how he would deliver this same promo in front of a predominantly English-speaking/American audience. Perhaps my criticism of him is unjustified. If he is playing to that Japanese audience then all of what I said is for nothing.

I think, If Kenny ever DOES sign with the WWE, he needs to work on his promos/acting (though, to be fair - and I'll address this after - he may be delivering it this way for the Japanese audience.).
Every other aspect of Omega's game is as good as it can be, but this whole thing felt like someone reading off of cue cards.
I didn't feel the passion, I didn't HEAR the passion, I didn't SEE the passion. IT felt forced and unnatural.
This is the one fault (If it IS a fault) Kenny has - and one I've noticed for a long time - but one that could hold him back in the WWE.
In all actuality (as I alluded to above) I believe Kenny CAN deliver a promo like this and make it feel real, but I think he performs this way for the Japanese audience.
Omega is outstanding when it comes to communicating with the Japanese fans. I'm curious to see how he would deliver this same promo in front of a predominantly English-speaking/American audience. Perhaps my criticism of him is unjustified. If he is playing to that Japanese audience then all of what I said is for nothing.
