Totally awesome. I saw Muddy and his band live at the old Colonial Tavern in Toronto in 1973. The harp player at that time was Jerry Portnoy, but Hollywood Fats was on guitar. I saw right up in front of the stage, just feet away from Muddy, and it was the greatest show I have ever been to in my life. I cannot say enough about how much I love and admire that great man for everything he did in his lifetime.
I got to see Muddy Waters when I was fortunate to go to college. I was not a blues fan, but that night changed my mind and perspective. He and his band was fantastic.
At a 144-148bpm paste this sounds as a true boogie-woogie. Muddy stirred up the Waters really nicely in this one. The gang is on a real mountain rafting adventure trip.😎
Willie "Big Eyes" Smith drums Pinetop Perkins piano "Steady Rollin'" Bob Margolin guitar Michael Mann aka Hollywood Fats guitar Calvin "Fuzz" Jones bass George "Mojo" Buford harp
@@gerardgarbutt607- a mojo hand is actually more like a gris-gris bag w/ stuff in it; could also refer to lucky hand root which is used to bring good luck. What you’re thinking of is a “hand of glory” which is a dead persons hand, usually a thief or criminal of some sort used for various purposes both benign & malignant. Hope that helps! 😊
Can someone spend a second here pls: I love music of all kinds and im not a specialist. Im about to add this song to my 'Blues' playlist but, for me, blues have a deeper/lower tone (ie Sony Boy Williamson) Is not full of life like this song (independently of the lyrics). Is this, or the other example mentioned, a sub genre or something like that?
I was lucky enough to see him 1977 in Germany! He opened for Eric Clapton and stole the show 😊🇫🇷🎶

The Big Muddy! This is the 1st time I’ve seen his “moves”, love this!
The ammo belt of harmonicas is the coolest!😊

Love the bandolier of harmonicas!
Respekt! This is so good.
What a treat!
The video production though 👌Much respect appreciation to Muddy and his team. May he rest in peace.
Muddy got all the mojo workin' here. Excellent moves and vocals. I remember being a kid and wondering what is a mojo and how do you get one??
It's an African-American magic charm. One of the most powerful is a mojo hand. I.e. a dead man's hand.

One of my favorites! No body today can touch him!!! Major harmonica riff!!💙💙💙💙😻😻
This is the beat Elvis has in his late shows, the same.
Where do you think he got it from Muddy Waters was doing this long before Elvis.
Awesome! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
A great Dylan song. Rita and Kris were pure magic. Happy Times for them and this octogenarian.. RIP Kris.
Is that Willie Big Eyes Smith on drums?

That harmonica bandolier is something.. and shout out to the Mahershala Ali lookalike on the drums.

Love doing this tune at karaoke
Absolutely great music. Love it
Help!!! I got this song stuck in my head and I can't get it out!
Dats rite 👍
I know one of the guitarists is Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin. Is that Hollywood Fats on 2nd guitar?
yup
The Black Brothers definitely created the Blues no doubt. 😊
hell yes!
If you like this, try his "Electric Mud" album.
Why this reminding me of Cadillac Records scenes 🎶
The realest of the real.
Now a beaten up piece of music gear isn’t poorly maintained, it has mojo 😂
Family guy brought me to Muddy and im sooo glad❤
Love the harmonica ammo belt
Hell yeah!! A little help please, anyone know who that great drummer is?
I’m pretty sure that’s Willie Lee “Big Eyes” Smith on the drums.

Mr. Muddy is always top of the charts.
