- Legendary song and a legendary Concert.
The original footage has been edited, using the original Chess stereo live recording, by the producers of the DVD "Muddy Waters Classic concerts" (please consider buying it, money well spent).
Muddy was definitely the real King of Blues.
The Band:
Pat Hare (Guitar)
Otis Spann (Piano)
James Cotton (Harmonica)
Andrew Stephenson (Bass)
Francis Clay (Drums)
I was there! Took my grandson for his 16th birthday. We had a great time!! Never forget that day.
Congratulations! If you had a 16 year old grandson in 1960, you must be over 120 years old now.
If you don't mind me asking how old are you Sir
@@duanecolbert7632 I don't mind at all.
In loving memory of Mr. Francis Potter Clay (1923 - 2008 R.I.P. // gone but not forgotten).
60 years on and Muddy's moustache is blues mythology!

WOW! amazing! the dancing at 2.00.....the start of what it was to be....a MOD in the UK in the 60's
This is prime Muddy Waters, the best bluesman there ever was. And he was a pretty good dancer, too!
Bruce I love muddy too, but he was not the best, but he was up there in the top & this was not his prime , the 50s was his prime
Francis Clay added a lot on the drums

The man at the piano looks like Muddy Waters.
Lily Bell I'm wondering if that isn't Mr. Otis Spann, he toured with Muddy Waters for a number of years.
Looks like he is. At least that's what the video description says
I believe that's the great Otis Spann.
It's Otis Spann for sure.
@@bradferguson3133 oh wow, didn't catch that, unreal and fabulous
