- Well, no more Mr. Nice Guy here, time to do some channel surfing back during one hot day from the summer of 1990 between Boston's Big Three affiliates! This clip features a compilation of various materials from the following programs and stations in order of appearance:
-WBZ 4 Boston (Classic Concentation, Eyewitness News noon edition)
-WCVB 5 Boston (Sally Jessy Raphael, NewsCenter 5 Midday)
-WHDH 7 Boston (News Seven at Noon, recently renamed from WNEV)
Commercials including:
-LifeCall Centers
-GE
-National Captioning Institute
-Rent-A-Center
So hang ten and enjoy the ride, taking in the various news stories along the way!
Pam Moore (at 2:48) will left WBZ in 1991 to join KRON-TV in San Francisco, where she remains now as the main evening newscaster.
Thank you:)
I'll be honest, if I was watching that Classic Concentration clip without audio, I'd have mistakenly assumed Bob Hilton was sub-announcing for Gene Wood that day as opposed to promoting the 1990 LMAD reboot. I'm not sure he and Alex Trebek ever worked on a game show together-- not even a pilot.
My twin sisters were born 2 weeks before this date
Shelby Scott!
