Really good informative video's..I have the same board on a jvc led tv..but have no standby led..can you point me as to where the problem could be...thanks
hello reecey, cheerrs for videos and all you do but have yet to find a fix for same model except all works great and then backlight goes out after 3 mins, only way to correct is to turn off and then on again, but same issue after 3 mins. My question is, surely this cant be a backlight issue if all working great then cutting off every 3 seconds??? sound is on all the time. What is telling the backlight to cut off??
Please, do you have the pinout for the connector to the power supply board? I cannot get any information on this. I would like to know which pins are ps_on, bl_on etc.
hi fella fantastic video m8, i fix tvs for a hobby love doing it, i've got a polaroid, p40led14, with no backlight i've tested the red wire 117 volts coming off it and stays there, but at this voltage does it like one of the leds has shorted, thanks for your time,
Hi I’ve I’m in process of fixing my VESTEL board it’s for a 55 inchs Samsung model 17ips20 board number 071114 R9.. Total led strips 12 . An got 7 leds on each strip 84 leds in total 3v Each . They are driven by 4 wires feds on the power board 2 for each set of 6 strips . I’m getting only 104 v from each fead and getting very low brightness on the leds . Do you know why they are so low and maybe the fault or what’s the leds feads volta output ? Thanks ,
Glad I found your video, I've the same issue, no backlight. I have just under 160v on LED+, changed the backlight driver IC, at startup, backlight flashes just enough to see boot picture. So, I guess it's shutting LED drive down, would I get this if some LED have failed?
This repair was some time ago@@seksualusisI think the issue was burnt out LED's which killed the original backlight driver, I fixed that then it fired up but because the wring current was flowing it shut down.. Then I trashed the TV by cracking the panel but I fixed the back lights!!! I then purchased a backlight tester and used it fixing another TV that ended in disaster, got lightening damaged psu PCB, replaced that with one of millions found on eBay, fired it up, no backlight.. Seller said, oh yes, it'll be your backlight, checked them, nothing wrong with backlight, all lit up same brightness then... Cracked screen putting it back together... Damn TV repairs.. Got a refund but was really cheesed off destroying what would have been a cheap repair.
@@nickjones886 Still fighting mine. It has no base operation voltages (like 12V for mainboard), but has 300V from rectifier/PFC. hello mate, thank you very much for the well detailed video and explanation. i have the same board and i think it has the same problem so i have to replace c525 cap but when searched online there are 2 different types of it. 1uF 50V 10% x7R 1206 SMD cap and 1uF 50V 10% x7R 805 SMD cap i believe these are different size of the same cap but can you please confirm which is the one you used ? cheers.
Hi. Thanx for the detailed video!! I have got a 40" with no backlight: There are 125V over the six hughe diodes where 180V are supposed to be. 125V as well on the diode a bit higher on the top right side. Over the hughe cap on the left side there are 380V. So, I have changed the driver MPS3394 and the MOSFET MDD14N25. But there is still no backlight. In regard that the TR300 seems to be driven well with 380V, what else could it be?
Dear Sir, thank you for this video. I have a problem you described at 2:00. After turn on the TV here is a spike of output voltage to about 185V DC but it last 1 or 2 sec, after that it goes to 120V and not 160 as you said. So according to this, LED is failing and power board is most likely OK. Is that true?

Hy, what should be the voltage output normally for a Telefunken T39FX182DLP 39"? I put there 167V through a 4.7K resistor, but I've got 167V on the LEDs despite that resistor being in series with the LEDs, I tried then with 100ohm and with no resistor and the backlight is the same, barely lighted. I want to sweep that board for a different one, with a simple design that I have, but I need to know the voltage.
I've got 17IPS20S that works ok for few hours. But then it switches the backlight off. If I turn the TV off and wait for few minutes I can get backlight again for few seconds and than it turns off. It would be better if it would stay off all the time for the diagnostic purpose. Any ideas about this problem? When it's working I get 167V between chasis and red wire and 25V between chasis and black wire.

Some good info. I'm looking at a polaroid 49" curved screen. I unplugged the LED's when i turn the screen on it flicks to 200V DC on each of the 2x outputs and then drops slowly down to around 2V dc as the 2x 250V caps discharge with only the multimeter connected. Could it be feedback from the brightness control, perhaps the opto isolator or even the driver fet for the transformer from the switching side to the dc side. Any ideas?
