Some are not 😅. Im a tarantula keeper myself and im still terrified when i see a huntsman spider in the bathroom.
60 Min in Oven by 120° Or and additional 3-5 Min in Microwave.
The hot water method it not save if you do it like this. ( you would need to boil it on the stove for 5-20 min )
To get rid of spores and pests on this bark
What if you put them into a freezer for a day? Would that work too?
@@BobbyAce Nope, most spores are resitend to cold and a lot of incects also. ( Depending on region )

Well that's because tarantulas aren't meant to be scary, if you think of a huntsman spider or daddy long legs then you probably would feel uncomfortable
@@lurkinn4391 I think it has more to do with the educational atmosphere of exotics videos, as well as his obvious love and admiration for the hobby. This type of open-minded content makes for a perfect environment to teach others and erase previous biases. Imagine how much we could teach the world if we dispelled the fear of the unknown like Exotics does with his tarantulas!
@@lurkinn4391 no the ones I fear the most are the hairy ones I am mortified of every single spider I am usually fine with huntsman spiders but yea daddy long legs, tarantulas and etc are scary to me

I had lunch at work, which was super nachos with refried beans, spanish rice, seasoned scrambled hamburger, nacho cheese, lettuce, onions, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, shredded cheese, salsa and sour cream.
I used to be terrified of any bugs but after watching your videos, for as long as I have, I’m actually okay with spiders. I’ll never own a tarantula but I’m currently looking into getting a little jumping spider. 💜💜💜

Or u can wrap the bark in aluminum foil and bake it in the oven at 200° for bout 10 to 20 mins then it kills everything
U should watch them again with cold water to give it better durability and get rid on dust, a cockroach killed my 350$ tarantula because of this mistake

So... I got my first old world last week after keeping new worlds for about a year. Turns out the pet store sent me home with the wrong tarantula. Long Story short I now have a Togo Starburst Baboon and she is a wild one for sure. The speed is like Mach 10!

Exactly the same. Even find myself able to handle a house spider now to take it outside. Used to be petrified of all spiders.
Still never visiting areas with a natural population of big spiders though!

i do 2hrs in the oven at 200 degrees. it works great and nothing catches fire. 30-45 minutes for leaves or small twigs.

I'd personally keep things like that in a pot of boiling water on the stove for a few minutes instead of just one pour of it, but that's just me.
