I have kids and wife and autism. I couldn't do what you do online as I don't have mental capacity to do it. But I can hold a relationship coz my wife is very understanding and quite similar in some peculiar ways lol. Is that why it's called a spectrum? Kind regards

Relationships are not always necessarily a healthy and supportive environment, unfortunately. Even though dysfunctional, it can often take many years or even decades to get out of them.

I think it was word of mouth really, and I attend an autism partnership board, currently online, where such information is widely made available.
