I have a 2005 Toyota Matrix, which when I drive after a while the car randomly shuts off mid drive, and the only sensor code is P0031. I was told that the sensor is causing the issue. It needs to get replaced and the code has to be shut off manually. Is this accurate? Can I just not change the upstream sensor?
Toyota DTC code is P037 (for rear sensor B1S2) on an OBD II scanner. If you DO NOT have a "check engine" light illuminated on your dash then both O2 sensors are fine. The air/fuel ratio sensor (upstream B1S1) will give you P031.
idk but I have a P0420 and i'm replacing the O2 sensors hoping this is the issue or the rabbit hole gets deeper, i could have an exhaust leak or something
Thanks, this helped a lot. Note that for a Manual Trans. 2010 Matrix the downstream wiring goes to the Driver side floor panel.
Please what is the good part number for the downstream oxygen sensor for my 2010 toyota matrix XR 5 speeds manual transmission ? Need your help .
Good tutorial. Thanks!
Though with the background music i was hoping to see Michael Knight roll up in K.I.T.T. 😄😎
This oxygen sensor is bank 1 ?
How did you match up the wires? Was the waterproof connector needed inside the car?
What is the part number for a 2010 toyota matrix with a 5 speeds manual transmission downstream oxygen sensor ? Please help me .

Does this work on a 2009 Toyota matrix s 2.4?

What was the issue of a bad downstream o2 sensor? What was it doing or not doing?
Anyone know if there's a particular code this sets off.

Hilarious that a Bosch grommet doesn't seal in the floorboard. Stick with Denso.
Yep I ended up having to do mine twice because the Bosch or whatever other offbrand,I used was still setting off the code
The freakin music in this is So unnecessary. And freaking ANNOYING AF.
The music came on my Casio keyboard.
Amazing music totally helpful and relaxing on a stressful situation
