  • In this week's video of Jack presenting at the Southern Equine Expo, Jack shares the importance of becoming a better rider so your horse can be their best.
    He covers...
-How your seat and hands work differently from one another, but why both must swing fluidly.
-Where "hard hands" come from, and how a relaxed shoulder is key.
-Why keeping our alignment in the saddle is vital to our horse's balance and straightness and how to achieve it.

Very well explained and straight to the point. I find many instructors don’t explain things in simple terms and can end up confusing a rider.

Very clear. I've known all this for years but appreciate being reminded-especially about being soft in the shoulders. Thank you!

I really enjoy your videos. I work with a trainer too so these concepts aren’t new. The way you describe is so good…”squeezing water from sponge”

As the late Sally Swift would say, "line up your boxes "! Shoulders over hips over ?stirrups? (I've gotten into debates over that last, but I think I'm right.)

Absolutely! Thinking about the athletic ready position in the vast majority of sports helps people to understand this concept.
