Geto keeps seeing the people because they were clapping at the death of their friend. So every time he hears similar noises like the pitter patter of rain or the shower he hears those people clapping over the death of their friend that Geto failed to protect from Toji
1.) Yuki is not a villain. Geto is the one who came up with the *theory* that killing all non-sorcerers would solve the issues of curse spirits. She said that's a possible option but she wouldn't do something crazy like that. 2.) Remember, Jujutsu High is not just a high school. It's used as a base of operations for other sorcerers as well. Yuki doesn't have to be invited to come. 3.) Geto did not have the scar in the movie. 4.) In the movie, Geto is helping people for his own selfish reasons. Remember, when Geto absorbs a curse spirit, it's added to his arsenal so that he can use them later in battle. That's how he was able to absorb over 4,000 spirits and use them for an all-out attack. He pretends to be nice to people so that they can spread the word about his business and more humans go to him to get "healed".
To expand further on your 1st point, Jujutsu society isn’t one of good guys and bad guys. Sorcerers work to maintain society, and aren’t bound by a strong sense of morality. This is why Yuki is so nonchalant when Geto brings that theory to her attention
yes it’s the same girl that appeared in todo’s flashback, she didn’t say her name she told him “what’s your type of women” it’s where todo learned this line, from her.
This is set 10 years prior. Gojo and Geto are 18 year olds in their third year by Episode 5. They're in their late 20s by the time of the first season. Yuki is obviously older than them. Todo is in his third year by the time of season 1 and the flashback of him and Yuki was when he was in kindergarten or first grade. So really this flashback could have taken place a few years prior since Todo is older than Megumi and Megumi's a first grader here. So yes, this all lines up lol
Gojo was smiling because he was surrounded by talented students. After Geto's betrayal, he felt empty. This is where Gojo's motivation is revealed, he wants to raise talented and strong magicians so that he never feels lonely again
@@Lostsoul_123 For sure, cause the main character trio has to win ,so the plot armour has to kick at some point . I knew that no matter what sukana would lose cause that's the shonen way🤷🏾
Yeah, one of the things that puts Gojo on another level is his 6 eyes let's him use infinity very efficiently after he awakened. For instance, Yuta actually has more curse energy due to Rika, but Gojo is so efficient that he uses just a fraction of energy to do the same level of things. He's basically never got to fear running out of cursed energy.
Further context on why he always blocked Yuji when tried going ahead and Nanami was saying "its not a sin to be a child," great character and great development and foreshadowing.
27:48 He runs a religious group to collect curses. It's beneficial for him to leave them alive because he doesn't want to put suspicion on his group of people missing. Also the word of mouth also helps him to get more people to come to him to get exorcised.
This is Yuki Tsukumo, one of the 4 special levels : 1) Gojo 2) Geto 3) Yuta, 4) She. In the absence of Gojo, she is the strongest magician. Yes, she is the role model for Todo
It's interesting that you talk about the scar on the getos head. In the movie and in these five eps he doesn't have the scar. Something to think about 🤔
the “are you the strongest because your gojo” means that is he the strongest because he has the powers, or anybody can be this powrful with the same powers?
That's why JJH School needed some mental check evry mission. It's not an easy job. They sure will get PTSD bcos of their mission. That's what happened to Geto. No one check his mental state because he's the caring one, the right decision maker, the nice one. He chose to kill all non sorcerers because he care to sorcerers. Like what Yuki said (the female mentor of Todo) she gave perspective and options for Geto to understand but it ended to his unexpectable decision. It's like Magneto in Xmen. Why fight/protect for mortals if they are the one who kill us? Imagine protecting you sorcerer friend then u see her got shot by non sorcerer(Toji). Then you friend died while every human being non-sorcerer are clappiny around you bcos your friend died. Where's humanity? Later after he talk to Yuki, another friend died (the one who's with Nanami) bcos of the mission of JJH, the mission that will save humanity by killing curse magic which nvr be seen by non sorcerers but they need to give effort. Then lastly, imagine saving people only to see sorcerer kids being jailed and blame just bcos their sorcerers. Geto had enough. He lost it. Gojo is shook, well he didn't even check his friend if his ok. He's so busy for himself on how he became powerful. Gojo is so used that Geto guides him, correct him, or care for him but I never seen him care for Geto only when Geto choose to left and killed the humans. For me, Gojo is kinda selfish and self centered.
I think Geto would have come to the same conclusion eventually anyway, Yuki was just a bit of a catalyst. Bit daft of her to hear a student ask her about it seriously and not have alarmed bells ringing
There’s a few things to put together with Geto. The first is that at the start of all of this, the Star Religious group was dismissed as a threat as they are non-sorcerers. Then, they hired Toji who is the antithesis of a sorcerer since he has no cursed energy. And when he defeats Geto, he kicks him in the face and tells him to remember how even with all his power he was defeated by a “monkey” like him with no cursed energy. This is where Geto got the term monkey. Toji was the zero cursed energy weapon of the non sorcerer faction. Then the clapping scene. In this moment, Geto was traumatized and he wanted to kill the cultists but he needed a reason. They became the figures in his mind of the whole series of traumatic events he just went through. And that’s why he keeps hearing the clapping. They are a representation of non-sorcerers to him. People he dedicated his life to protect. He knew not all sorcerers were perfect, but seeing “the ugliness of the masses” firsthand broke his black and white ideology of sorcerers existing for non-sorcerers. With the girls, he’s confronted with sorcerers being discriminated against by non-sorcerers. His whole ideal of the strong protecting the weak is in shatters when he realized that the sorcerers are oppressed (in his mind). Think of it from his view, sorcerers are either discriminated against as witches or omens in normal society, or they’re trained as child soldiers to give their lives for the non-sorcerers. I don’t even like Geto personally, but just explaining why his character thread makes sense and why it wasn’t really random that he picked non-sorcerers. He just needed an excuse and Yuki gave one to him. Geto’s issue is that he externalizes his emotions and didn’t know how to process his trauma and depression. Bro just needed therapy 😂.
The scar is a story that we are gonna know in the future, in the movie that is an event which happens before the first season and he doesn't have the scar.
Yes, Geto became evil. But he was also *intentionally* written to evoke sympathy like the author gege akutami said. Ultimately, what caused Geto to defect was his kindness, which made him unable to bear the corpses of his fellow sorcerers like Haibara just for the ugly humans like those followers who clapped at a childs death. Also the fact that geto is the reason why gojo decided to become a teacher because gojo wasn’t able to save him so he wanted to help the next generation and doesn’t wanna leave them alone. the roots of his ideals lying on suguru is so special.
Non sorcerers are the reason cursed spirits exist in this world coz they leak cursed energy. Jujutsu sorcerers die dealing with the garbage non sorcerers throw out around the world and geto is done watching sorcerers die doing that and he doesnt wanna deal with cursed spirits anymore.
Geto keeps seeing the people because they were clapping at the death of their friend. So every time he hears similar noises like the pitter patter of rain or the shower he hears those people clapping over the death of their friend that Geto failed to protect from Toji

Geto didn’t have the stiches in his head in the movie. Gojo does “kill” him it’s why we hear a slashing sound when the screen cuts to black.

One thing thats pretty cool is that nanami likes yuji because he reminds him of his dead bestie haibara
Further context on why he always blocked Yuji when tried going ahead and Nanami was saying "its not a sin to be a child," great character and great development and foreshadowing.
Masha is gunna be throwing away that plushie by the end of this season
To be honest, even though geto's solution/idea was messed up, I can't really blame him for coming to that solution either.
The scar comes in between the movie and the first season....
27:02 no scar in the movie
He did not have the scar in the movie. The end of the movie is where he gets it.
27:48 He runs a religious group to collect curses. It's beneficial for him to leave them alive because he doesn't want to put suspicion on his group of people missing. Also the word of mouth also helps him to get more people to come to him to get exorcised.

26:13 I have the same mindset 😂 after reading those chapters. Geto is still good ❤
Gojo gets toji's blessing (megumi means blessing in japanese) and geto gets toji's curse (he got that curse spirit that stores weapons)
After this episode I really recommend trying to find the blu ray version of this season. The action in the bluray version looks so much better

Yuki is not a villain. She's todo's master. She's also the first and oldest special grade (human) sorcerer
the “are you the strongest because your gojo” means that is he the strongest because he has the powers, or anybody can be this powrful with the same powers?
