(For other players I would recommend the internationalist path, as that is the most stable, fixed, fun, etc)

3;57. Leo Szliard leading Hungary? That's quite unbelievable. He was a nuclear physicist who worked on the Manhattan Project and authored the letter urging the demonstration of the A-Bomb rather than using it on Japan.
And he is hungarian, born and raised before moving to the US. Same case for Pál Teleki. Quite ignorant statement right here.
@@milantoth6246 Leo had been working in Germany since 1925. He fled to England in the spring of 1933, then going to USA in 1937 or 1938 to work on the Chicago Pile with Enrico Fermi. He wasn't in Hungary during that time.
The one part of this scenario that's sort of accurate, in a VERY broad sense, is the type of government that's set up. Leo was in favor of scientists being in charge so they would keep the world peaceful.
Leo's outspoken opposition to using the bomb on Japan directly lead to him being removed from the project, and nearly got him put under detention. He only worked on the bomb because he was afraid that Germany might make one first. He wanted a balance of power, preferably without nuclear weapons.
@@firstcynic92 yes, and the story of the communist government we are roleplaying here starts in 1918, 7 years before he moved to germany. They could’ve easily convinced him to stay, either by force or incentives. But even if they didn’t, Kaiser Wilhelm also didnt live in germany in 1936 and yet we can invite him to take the german throne. I dont see how this couldn’t be the case here.
As a Hungarian, this one particular path feels like a massive jerk-off to Hungarians' contribution of world sciences, and I couldn't be more proud of it. o7

A fun thing to say, ISP:
The civilian factory divisions were not broken, but instead required them to be free
AKA, un-used. If you weren't building more civilian factories, you could use civilian factories to build civilian factories!

If you wanna play hungary in Hoi4 I can highly recommend the Hungarian flavour mod. As a hungarian, I can confirm that it accurately represents the hellhole that I can call my homeland.
I wonder if ISP has plans to try out the Hoi4 Fallout mod again. They've added a bunch more nations to play and added some EU4 stuff like trade nodes for what that's worth.

"European Union" which replaces belgiums focus tree with one that immediately forms the EU and lets you annex some neighbours through later focuses. still WIP and very buggy but also quite hilarious
