I looked on the web and got this:Good morning. I have a Jandy Nature2 Fusion salt water system that is esentially an AquaPure 1400 system (I believe). It’s showing a code of 124 (high current to cell). I replaced the PIB (Power Interface Board) and the error code is still present. I have power cycled the system a few times and the power was off when I installed the new PIB. The service light is on due to the error code. The cell indicator light only inlluminates for a second or so every so oftern. No chlorine is being produced. I powered the system off and removed the cable to the cell. After powering the system on again, the error code of 124 is still present and there are no additional error codes. This seems odd to me since the cell is unplugged. I have contacted Zodiac (Jandy) via email but have not yet heard back from them. The system was installed with the pool three years ago and it’s installed in the large AquaLink RS cabinet. The cell is the same age as the system. I’m hesitant to replace the cell due to the cost but I realize their lifespan is 3-5 years. It just seems like it’s not a cell issue since disconnecting it seems to change nothing. Seems to be similar to what you are experiencing. It is going to take some additional testing, I would recommend calling a local service technician or the manufacturer.
@@cweb1210 I vaguely remember have a similar issue several years ago. I believe I replaced the board too and still had issues. If I remember correctly, the homeowner ended up scraping the salt cell
You can call Jandy technical support, for help which is a great service. 1 (800) 822-7933 As you describe the issue, I’m thinking of two possibilities. One would be the tri sensor that connects to the lower port on the salt cell. And two would be a problem with the control center for the salt not reading the data from the sensor. So I would start with sensor and see if it is scaled up or rusting. Clean or replace. If not that look at the pc board in the control panel and see if there is corrosion or a burned spot. If so replace it. If you need further help, reach out to tech support, they are good at diagnosing issues with all jandy products. Have a great summer!
Look at the control center for the salt cell. You should be getting an error if either one is not working. Look up the error code and replace. On average the cell will need to be replaced every 3-4 years. I prefer to replace the entire unit when over three yrs. The replacement kit comes with new cell, sensor and wires.
The sensor is the difficult part of the cell replacement. To replace the cell simply loosen the collars and pop it out, then pop in the new one and plug in the cord.
@@Pool-guy I do not need to replace the cell, both tasks are pretty easy, simply saying ur title should be removed as your are not replacing a salt cell. It will only confuse people.
Hello im getting code 124 on my zodiac nature fusion. Replaced the salt cell with no luck. Do I need to replace the dc cord?

@@Pool-guy thanks! I actually found a flow chart for error codes. It's the back board that needs replacing. Will be completed in the next week or so

@@Pool-guy 😭😭😭 I hope not this pool was built in 2020
@@cweb1210 that’s a bummer just out of warranty too.
What if you have no codes, flow is strong, cell is clean, salt is spot on and it’s reading cell reversing and no flow?

How can you determine if the sensor is bad or if it’s the entire cell itself?

Cam this cell be cleaned like thr hayward cells?
Yes clean it the same way
This isn't a cell replacement, alk you did is replaced the sensor.
