I’m very happy to announce that I’m 100% credit card debt free. I was at $26k credit debt last year, consolidated it and yesterday I officially paid everything off!!🎉
Congratulations 🎊 👏 I love reading stuff like this. I became CC debt free a few years ago myself and never went back. All CC balances are now paid in full at the end of the month and managed to get rid of my shopping addiction gone; now I can't stand shopping lol.
@@raudelulloa2597sometimes as an adult, you need to make a choice that will benefit your child more in the long run, being able to resell tickets at that price, it be stupid not to do so as that money can be used elsewhere for the child and it's not the last concert on earth,
If she purchased it on a whim, I’d say she didn’t! Who buys anything that’s $4000+ on a whim, let alone a parrot!? What a plonker! I’ve said it before, how the hell to these people even remember to breathe? Absolutely clueless, and I’m being nice.
Probably has no idea how to properly car for it and the amount of time that needs to be spent with it so it can have good mental health. Parrots are extremely social and if left alone for long periods of time, they can develop huge psychological issues 😢
I have bought a parrot and when you break down how long they live, they are cheaper than most dogs. I did my research tho and got a small loan from my bank with a super low interest rate. His name is Zuma and I love him. He's an African Grey.
The most debt I ever had was $85k in student loans. I lived with roommates, rarely ate out, didn’t go on trips until it was paid off. So liberating when I paid off my student loans at 27 years old.
I heard some people share advice like "at least pay off the interest while you're still in college" and I've heard some people flat out working to pay the "main part" they borrowed while in college too.
I will never forget the couple who came into the dealer I worked at trying to buy a brand new rubicon wrangler just to be turned down because they filed bankruptcy LAST MONTH
I don't understand 😮. Europeans don't make the same salary as the US, but they will still be richer since the majority don't graduate with student loans and they generally don't believe in credit cards.
I was in $9,000 in credit card debt in college paying for books and food, it scared the daylights out of me and I can NEVER imagine being in debt like that ever again
I’m honestly horrified when I meet anyone with more than 50K who isn’t in one of the high income fields. They’re just financially screwed for the better part of 20 years. It tells me immediately somebody didn’t give them proper guidance and they got taken advantage of by loaners.
Please. PLEASE. Do not impulse buy animals. Do your research and then you'll see how high maintenance these different pets are. Parrots in particular can live a long time and need a ton of attention.
I suppose it helps that my late dog was such a dear friend that I can't bear getting another. I fear I'll lose all the precious memories of her that I've kept in my mind.
Impulse rescued a coonhound from the local pound. I got lucky and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life, but I was not thinking about the possible expenses associated with homing him long term.
When I was in H.S. (2005) they did have a personal finance class as an elective. Because it was an elective, a passing grade wasn't required to graduate. So 80% of the students didn't pay attention. Those same people will now claim that: "school didn't teach me about finance." SMH.
People always talk about having the power to tell others no but we need to pay more attention to the power of telling yourself no! You don’t need it! Self Control is a necessarily.
3:57 i enjoyed the eras tour from a movie theater 😂 you get to hear singing clearly, comfortable seat and close ups of the stage, and just the price of a movie ticket. I love live shows but it’s just not worth it.
@@skiedev Hey, we're all different and a lot of concerts are much less money and worth it. I definitely wouldn't pay anything over £100 for a one-off event, but if you're earning a good income and enjoy live music, why not pay for the more reasonably-priced ones?
In this price to watch TS performing, you could have literally fly to Europe, buy tickets much cheaper (mine were just 200 bucks for her concert in Warsaw, PL) and stay there for a week.
And it was okay back then, not good it was never good. That's the gimmick, they have great advertising, it looks amazing and you can almost smell it through the t.v., and then your mouth waters you go and you are disappointed. Okay, I take that back In a small town they had one that was open tell 2017 and it was always extremely fast a great quality food the one item I bought a double down extra down sauce
I'm going to make mine do the same. I keep telling him to check when his interest free time runs out and make sure he's paid them off before them and he always says" i don't wanna do it right now" and it pisses me off bc I'm gonna have to help him pay back plus the back interest 😭
@@lyladaisie Why would you help him pay it back plus interest? You are enabling him, he's saying he "doesn't want to do it right now" because he knows he can take advantage of you and you will pay eventually regardless.
@lyladaisie You don't have to help him pay it back, and if he isn't working on it, you are free to leave. His debt does not become your debt, that's not how it works. One persons debt, never becomes another persons debt ever, unless you are dealing with the Mob, or you co-signed the deal. Let's say for instance your husband is $40k in bebt, and he dies somehow. That $40k does not go to you or anyone else, it just dissapears, it goes to ZERO. The only thing that can happen, is the banks can take whatever is in his name, whether it be cars, house... whatever. They will reclaim that as payment of the debt. If he has a will when passes, giving ownership of said Items, as long as they were not collateral in the deal, the bank can not touch those Items. When you talk about being in a relationship with someone who has a lot of debt, you should not be worried about being responsible for it, you should be worried about them going deeper into debt.
So right about the difference between men and women debt accumulation strategies. However if you look at it from a different angle, both are still doing the same thing. Men are buying things that they can't afford to keep up with the other men who have those things, and women are buying lots of things they can't afford to keep up with other women who have those things.
Yeah that seemed pretty pointed, especially considering he was literally talking about wanting to buy an overpriced car he doesn’t need before that jab.
8:57 That $300K is for the tuition. You can’t work a fully time job while you’re in medical school, so the rest is likely 5-7 years of living expenses that you have to take out student loans for. Some people start living like they’re doctors before they’re actually doctors. That’s why he’s starting his own practice straight out of dental school with someone he likely met while he was in school.
When I sold cars. A Lady with negative equity of about 20k wanted to buy a 75k Jeep rubicon wrangler and wanted to roll over her first loan to make it about 105k+ bank loan and I straight up told her it was the wrong decision. She didnt budge and was adamant about buying the Jeep. I needed 15k down and she said she would do it. I tried very hard to persuade her out but eventually her brother talked her out of it… crazy to think she would of done it. That was when I was red pilled about my money and focused on paying off my car asap and just drive it till it dies.
No “experience” is worth debt because for me personally, I would end up being so depressed and mad at myself for being so stupid to take on debt for no reason that whatever experience I got would basically end up being null and void for me mentally. Every “experience” I’ve paid a lot for in life, I never took on debt and had plenty of money left over when I got home and I am proud of myself for that.
That is a great mentality to have. Some people lack the ability to consider their future selves in decisions unfortunately, and get in a mess because of it. If people simply lived within their means they might experience less joy in the moment but their lives would be considerably better in the long term.
I don’t understand how credit card abuse is so wide spread. Almost everyone I know that is my age (25) has a few thousand dollars in credit card debt. I am extremely fortunate to own a home and the mortgage company said that our debt to income ratio was barely good enough to qualify. If my wife and I had any credit card debt we wouldn’t have qualified. I hope wages rise quickly because all I see is desperate people who are drowning.
A drastic increase in wages across the board would increase home prices. That’s more people competing for the same homes, increasing the sale price, which increases the value of all the comparable homes in the area. Then you have competition for the newly increased homes driving the prices up higher. Then you’ll want wages to increase again starting the cycle all over again.
In Belgium my country and other European countries they check what is your monthly income before giving a credit. You need to answer some questions and even not been in jail nor are blacklisted you get automaticelly refused . I don't know why in America everything seems like it's falling from the sky . I cannot believe they still allow that and other cr*p in that country .
The Eras tour was 3 hours, but even then still not worth ££££. I paid £150 + £100 in hotel and travel "for the experience" and that was a real treat! I can't believe anyone would pay 5k for it, I don't even think that's die hard fan behaviour, that's severe FOMO. It was good, but not worth that!
While this doesn’t relate to the concert, the whole mindless buying conversation really got to me. A coworker of mine was just talking about how easy it was to buy a Taylor Swift cardigan because “it’s so easy to hit Apple Pay, I just blacked out” they’re like, $89???
I was in dept (credit card & school) when i was a bit younger. I am 34 years old now with 160k in savings that I saved throughout this year alone. Becoming financially free is the best feeling ever.
I worked in a bankruptcy office and it’s not that easy. It’s not just a clean slate it’s WORK! And you have to qualify for bankruptcy and more people than one could imagine do not qualify. I wish people would stop saying it’s taking the easy way out because it’s not. I have never filed bankruptcy and never plan on it, but I don’t envy anyone who has to do it.
I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 with manual locks and windows, and i have to use a bluetooth device that plugs into my aux port. 160k miles and still going strong!
What’s wild is that I watch this simply so I feel better about my situation. No credit card debt, minor student loans, but not the best job. My anxiety over my income and a lack of progress is what personally makes these relatable lol.
I truly do not understand the Taylor Swift ticket thing. Even if she gave herself a year to pay off just the tickets, that's $450/month plus interest to have a single night out. 4:44
8:52 I have dentists in my family. The husband and wife spent their entire adult lives working at the same office and eventually bought it off the owner. Now some of their kids are dentists and they're all working together to pay off loans from that buy to this day. Being a dentist is so damn costly because you can't just walk into a hospital and get a job, most of the time you need to start up you're own practice and buy all that expensive shit. It's not a lucrative field unless you're already 4 generations down.
Are multi-dentist practices not a thing over there? The dental surgery I go to here in the UK has seven dentists on staff. Seems like it would be really inefficient to have someone working the front desk for just one or two dentists!
@@Ellie-rx3jt receptionist are NOT inefficient. They are professionals and needed for medical practices. They check insurance authorization, balance the schedule, answer calls/emails.
The biggest blame is the existence of these kinds of credit cards. In Belgium, Europe, the largest credit card you can get is like 5k or 7.5k, and banks don't allow everyone to have credit cards.
Your credit would be destroyed in the US making a $4k purchase on it. That's why we can get high limits. You can also request your limit to be lowered. It's all ignorance and/or being irresponsible.
@user-wc5lw7ps6h1 ... I am in USA... I just asked for my "Limit"... To be raised on my credit card... It was approved in seconds... Now my limit is $18,400.00... With 18% interest (if I carry a balance)... Of course... I do pay off the card... EVERY MONTH... My thoughts were to raise the limit... So... My average monthly expenditures will actually be lower... On... The use of available credit... Being higher... Causing the actual use too be lower...
I’m not too bad about credit card debt. Have maybe $500-$1000 debt across my 5 credit cards. Usually have them paid off each month. I’m 23 but the biggest regret I have is getting the vehicle I have now. I bought a used 2016 GMC sierra slt and It’s been 2 years since I’ve owned my truck. Cost about $42k financed for $52k with interest. The monthly payment is $760 but I’ve been giving $1200 and am now under $19k. Will never make this mistake again. Having to pay that much hurts especially when I have to limit myself in other areas.
I had to decide what’s more important. I bought a house. I don’t do trips, unnecessary spending or car loans payments. I have 4 credit cards I pay them off in full every month. I wish I had a job that could afford house/car/trip/fun spending but there is no way. Had to pick one so that’s what I did. My credit score is excellent. I’d like to think I did do something right
Same thing happened to me in 1996 when I bought a thunderbird sport coupe. I loved it for a year and then hated it the next 3 1/2 years because of the monthly payments and insurance. I have paid cash for every vehicle I’ve bought since.
To become an orthodontist, you need roughly three years of additional residency and education beyond dental school. Dental school is demanding and prevents most students from working.
They obviously didn’t teach the guy how to calculate an ROI. One million in debt is insane. Even if he makes 400k a year. He is only making 200k after taxes. Can he even afford to put 100k towards debt. His interest is going to be 60k a year minimum.
The problem is you could equally blame banks for lending to these people. Chicken or egg on who is the dumber person, the greedy bank or the moron who buys a $200k vehicle
You cant lock up the government or corporations. Tons of Americans seriously use the excuse that since the government is in so much debt why can't they. To be fair, we should be able to if we want to, just as corporations and the government can.
In the UK we used to have Debtors' Prisons until the middle of the 19th century so that the economically delinquents were locked up until their debts were repaid. For example, check out Mr Pickwick in Charles Dickens's The Pickwick Papers.
I had been in debt since I was 18, my parents always encouraged it with their broke mindset, it was only at the age of 35 that I started watching Dave Ramsey, I got ALL my debt paid off in 12 months, did nothing for a whole year. Now I owe no one anything and the weight off my shoulders is unreal I do what I want when I want, I started my own business that pays way less than my old job but I don’t need as much. Financial freedom is worth more than anything to me.
Just a reminder, they aren’t 120k in student loan debt for a degree. They are 120k in student loan debt because they were financing a lifestyle they thought they deserved from pursuing a degree
Exactly this is true. So many students take out federal student loans to fund a lifestyle and it’s not even about the tuition. We, as American taxpayers, cannot allow student loans to be forgiven because government will start printing money to clear student loan debt and have crazy high inflation again. And the cycle repeats because you can’t just forgive student loans. The next generation will just rack it up. It’s honestly all about personal responsibility and keeping your finances in check. No one else should be responsible to pay for someone else’s irresponsibility!
Facts, many college folks, taking student loans to make mortgage payments, and live a nice lifestyle. Because loans are not counted as income, many college students can get maximum welfare benefits. When they finish college their professional income is not close to the college lifestyle.
@@gundy99223that’s not how public student loans work, you don’t just get a check from the loan servicer that you can put to your mortgage, for public loans the servicer works directly with the school to get the bill and pay whatever the bill is, private loans are obviously different, but I wouldn’t consider those student loans, it’s just a generic loan
I had to fix my credit card mindset. So I built my own computer using a credit card, but I challenged myself not to pay any interest. At the end of the month, I had it almost fully paid off and I missed the due date by 1 day and was charged about $2 in interest. However, I knew that I had succeeded in my goal when I realized I got super pissed off that I paid interest, even just $2. Since then, I have paid off and closed three cards. I'm nearly about to pay off a fourth card and I'm hoping to have five or six paid off by the end of this year.

@@Project_Future uh just cause you've had that experience, doesn't mean that it's the same for everyone. My dad does 2+ hours of overtime daily. Sometimes working 16+ hours, without AC and with dementia patients btw. At a rate of 1 nurse for 25 patients, many of them very ill and suffering.
@@Project_Future dude I live in Europe, we don’t have AC in general. And no, nurses don’t just do a quick round. Washing the patients, doing dressing changes, giving out medication, supervising food and fluid intake, some general cleaning and of course answering when people call for help. All of these things combined, especially with dementia patients, take up multiple hours a day. Sure, they have to document everything they do so of course it’s a lot of typing too, but you seem to think most nurses just have an office job. And what’s the union supposed to do? There simply aren’t enough nurses to cover the demand. Can’t just summon them out of nowhere… You genuinely seem bitter and talk like someone who didn’t work in nursing for a single day, probably just met a nurse that you didn’t like, yet think you know everything about the profession.
I saw a tiktok of a guy explaining how you should keep good ideas and motivations you have to yourself because the act of talking about them gives your brain a similar dopamine rush as if you actually achieved it - which deinsentivizes you to actually do anything. Can’t help but feel like it’s the same for these people admitting their mistakes. Gets it off their chest so they don’t feel as much pressure to deal with it.

I was extremely broke during my Masters. But I still didn’t rack up any student loans. Here’s how I did it. 1. Got a 0 APR credit card with limit of 10,000. Used that too pay my semester fees. 2. Work part times and jobs to pay off my credit card before I pay any interest on them. During 18 months, I probably ate out 3 times in total. I always cooked my own food as it saved me a ton of money. I NEVER went out, no movies, no concerts, no FUN until my college ended . I spent every free day in the library improving my resume and tech skills. Fortunately I graduated with a 0 debt and 0 credit card bills and with a Job in Tech. Now, I make around 130K a year. Even now i refuse to pay the exorbitant car payments, so I will drive my 2007 Honda fit for another 4 to 5 years at least.

I got lucky and sort of just fell into a good grip of money. But I used almost all of it to pay off my vehicle, my wife's vehicles, our CC debt and a large chunk of my student loans. I also started a new job with a significant pay raise that will allow me to have the remainder of my student loans paid off by December. Its been such a good feeling having that weight lifted off me.
Congrats! We've been debt free for years and it's allowed us to give to lots of causes that we believe in, invest plenty in retirement, and pay off our mortgage super early and now we have so much financial freedom! Never go back into debt! Put that money to good use!
having a credit card has nothing to do with not beeing frugal. a credit card is a tool, which you have to know how to use it. for me a credit card is a must since i have a lot of business trips all over the world. Without credit card you often dont get a hotel room or a rental car...

It’s hard to believe, but it’s actually true that between 86% to 93% of all cars you see on the road have a note attached to it. And that less than 15% of Americans actually own fully paid off cars. It’s even confirmed on most UA-cam videos where you see people at a car auction and 99% of cars are either a luxury brand, high end sports cars, top notch ev’s, or some expensive gas guzzler.
I often felt very down that I make 65k and never went to college and got stuck going up the IT ladder only making 35k when i started. But knowing that I own my car paid off, 0 debt, 780 credit score, and a career that has been slowly and steadily giving me raises, along with a modest home living on my own I’ve realized life isn’t that bad. I even have spare money to use on hobbies. Usually people think I make a lot more but in reality I just kinda got lucky and never made any big purchases outside my home.
I just found your channel at complete random and it's crazy. I have never watched finance videos before so I really don't know what the rest of the world is doing with their debt, but it sure makes me feel much better in my current situation! I am 34(M) with 3 kids and make about $12k a month. I have two paid off vehicles and one credit card with $4k on it. I have a STEM with no student loans due to the military. My CC really bugs me for some reason until I see what some of these people are doing with their finances. Wow. My CC comes and goes as I use it for daily items to keep the credit rotating. Because I have $4k debt and it's really nice to save all my money, I really am scared to buy a house, but I really need to pull the trigger on my own house since rent is getting so high. In a nutshell, I should not get so stressed about my finances. Thank you for these videos! You are doing a great job.
Before you marry anyone, in debt or not, spend the money to draw up a prenuptial agreement and make sure you both understand and agree to the prenup and then there no problem with someone wanting to walk away. The prenup just divides finances into 3 piles of money: my pile, your pile and our pile. Our pile is what gets divided if a marriage ends.
There's a real problem nowadays with people making light of pretty serious problems. 40k in credit card debt is not cute or funny, and you shouldn't be telling people they are 'so safe', because actually, they so aren't.
$160,000 for something that does not have at least one bathroom or consist of some acreage is unfathomable. Add in the fact that a car will just depreciate exponentially makes the expenditure even more ridiculous.
If I cannot pay it in cash right then, I don't get it! I add what I want into carts, then leave it for days, go back and delete the wants and get just the needed item, normally a small car part on my '05 outback that I bought for $2000, put a new motor in and it's like a brand new car. I use older macbook pros and Mac pros and run Open Core on them, so I get the new OS and security updates, and never bought new. I have credit cards for life emergencies and to keep a credit rating, but have never been over $1000 in credit card debt in my life.

Paid £100 per ticket for a Taylor Swift London concert. Cheap Airbnb nearby so had a great weekend. Met a lovely lady from Houston Texas who bought tickets for London. Combined with flights and accommodation she said it still worked out cheaper than the ticket prices quoted for concerts back home. And for the record I was accompanying my daughter who is the Taylor fan and I can honestly say it was one of the best concerts I've been to for value and atmosphere. I've seen Queen, Springsteen and Michael Jackson and she rates up there with them in my opinion. That said, ticket prices are not worth getting into debt for.

Wage rises do nothing.
You could double basic/minimum wages and companies will just double prices in response to offset the cost.

Just a reminder, they aren’t 120k in student loan debt for a degree. They are 120k in student loan debt because they were financing a lifestyle they thought they deserved from pursuing a degree
Biden wants to forgive it too.
I think you should only be able to get a student loan for books and tuition. If you want to live in a dorm instead of at home get a JOB
But then you see you’re nurse colleagues going on lavish vacations and driving nice cars and you want to do the same because you want to fit in and feel like you belong. As a guy in nursing I didn’t fall for the trap.
best tip for a nursing application?
I got into credit card debt while I was studying for my master overseas. Came back and paid it off in a couple of years. I will never do that again.
Taylor swift is already a billionaire
There’s no need for me to pay her for her to sing to me and many other people.
Taylor swift is traveling around the world singing to people.
I’ll never give her my money..I’ll happily happily keep every single cent and avoid any concert at all cost…
I don’t need entertainment lol
You don't need entertainment...? Why you on youtube then?
@@NickyBlue99 To learn…I learned how to change a flat on my e-bikes

I learned how to invest
I watch Dave Ramsey…lol
I guess everything on UA-cam is for your entertainment
Unfortunately fortunately for me it’s a tool

Why would anybody go to a T Swift concert? Let me guess, she dated another man and it didn’t work out? She will be in her 50’s making the same mistakes.
@@lonestarrk9308 she wills just sing her break up songs to you telling you to never ever get back together and other b.s. it’s just drama music festival lol
Her songs won’t keep you and your spouse together it will give you reasons to be single lol
If a drug addict says I'm glad and feel 'Safe' because other people are drug addicts is insane. We live in a society in which actions don't have consequences and they are portrayed as 'Victims'.
Yeah the victim mentality has gotten insane and just encourages people to keep doing what is ruining them to begin with
If you will think back to somewhere around the 90’s to early 2000’s when the whole “everyone gets a trophy” stuff started, this is the outcome. You have a generation of people that have never had repercussions from not putting in effort since they knew no one would lose. That’s not how real life works.
I've been working on it, I'm right at 12,000 in the hole right now but I have plan to be free by October 2025, and I've started on the plan back in June of 2024, so I'm getting there by bits.
My first experience with debt was about 10 years ago when I graduated high school. I lied about my income and they gave a 20k credit limit and fucked myself. Took me years to get out of that.
I’m 21 a senior in college and I just sold my 2020 Miata which was my dream car at this stage in my life because it was burning a hole in my pocket. Bought a 2008 Lexus ES350 with 90k miles for 7k . Now I don’t pour money into a hole every month and I feel way better
There's a saying, if you don't know how to use a credit card, don't get a credit card.
I'm 31 and I've never had a credit card and I probably won't but my parents taught me to be frugal since I was a young child.
Smart avoid at all costs are get one and don’t use it
having a credit card has nothing to do with not beeing frugal. a credit card is a tool, which you have to know how to use it. for me a credit card is a must since i have a lot of business trips all over the world. Without credit card you often dont get a hotel room or a rental car...
@@DerDoJo Visa Debit cards work the same way except it's your own money and I use that instead. But if using a credit card is a helpful tool for you by all means use one.
@@DerDoJocredit cards are not a must for anyone
If you’re in the US getting a home mortgage will be difficult for you without a credit score. Otherwise I am happy for you and envious. I’d rather not use these things.
You should do a video on how aggressive credit card advertising is
it’s always crazy to me how people try to minimize how insane their debt is by laughing about it like girl 😭 this is nothing to laugh about
It's embarrassment. A nervous reaction
Embarrassed laughing I think
Embarrassing we let people like this even take out loans in the first place.

@KayFabe87 nah that's answering every question you're asked with a story about "growing up in a middle class family"
I have bought 1 car on debt and repaired another on debt. 2 worst cars i drove.
I have 0 debt, I work for really successful people and they did teach me not to waste money that I don’t have and I don’t have a credit card.
The national debt is far less of a problem than the level of personal and business debt in the USA. Usually debt for stupidity
29:50 - I remember hearing a guy who got a super low interest rate on his home loan saying "I'm dying in this house!"
Yeah. Marriage is just not an option whatsoever without a prenup.
It should be love binding the relationship. Not a financial agreement.
There's a real problem nowadays with people making light of pretty serious problems. 40k in credit card debt is not cute or funny, and you shouldn't be telling people they are 'so safe', because actually, they so aren't.
I honestly think I would just die from the anxiety of having that kinda debt
$160,000 for something that does not have at least one bathroom or consist of some acreage is unfathomable. Add in the fact that a car will just depreciate exponentially makes the expenditure even more ridiculous.
400 bucks in KFC also means your medical bill will hit hard sooner or later 😂
5:53 you can get one of the nicest dogs youve see for like $100 at a shelter
If I cannot pay it in cash right then, I don't get it! I add what I want into carts, then leave it for days, go back and delete the wants and get just the needed item, normally a small car part on my '05 outback that I bought for $2000, put a new motor in and it's like a brand new car.
I use older macbook pros and Mac pros and run Open Core on them, so I get the new OS and security updates, and never bought new.
I have credit cards for life emergencies and to keep a credit rating, but have never been over $1000 in credit card debt in my life.
2 weeks in Japan for $3k. Damn I need to look into that.
I think we spent about 7k for 3.5weeks... and we werent even splurging. Japan isnt as cheap as people want to believe. We had the miney though so theres that...
I work in credit card collections for a large, well-known financial institution. This video is so accurate!. This video is so accurate!
2:18 has 25k lying around for a down payment. But simultaneously is 170k upside down on loan. How are you that good and bad with money at the same time
Simple greed, could've bought i pretty good car with that, but just absolutely "needed" to buy a more expensive one.
If you can't pay cash you can't afford it period!
The only community I’m trying to be a part of is the “paid off debt and stayed out of it”
I stopped feeling sorry for people a long time ago. It always seems to be their own fault when you know the details....
Me and my wife have ben married 5 years home owner for 4 never had credit card debt we live a simple regular life and i love it 🤙🏼💪🏾🙌🏽🇺🇲🧠🤫💯
I bought a f150 brand new in 2001. I am still driving that truck today. I haven’t had a car payment for 20 years now.
I watch these videos to feel better about myself, and I've really only got a mortgage, I could pay off my newest car but I'm wanting much more before I pull the plug. Keep your bills low.
Yep I feel Im doing so well and blessed financially. Sheesh!
I absolutely have a shopping problem. I spend so much of my money on things that I never lay hands on! It's bad. I swear, every month, I'll spend 3-5k on low-cost index-based ETFs and mutual funds. Sometimes I'll even spend nearly 8k a month when the markets are down, because who doesn't love a sale? Whew it was so good to get that off my chest.
Doom Spending is trending,,,the sad thing is if they lose their housing landlords now want a credit rating check and sometimes 3 times income,it’s really bad…how will they get by? This is hard to watch..
The guy that called Dave Ramsey at 7:09 was featured in the movie titled Borrowed Future. His name is Justin and he was in tears because he felt he ruined his life by getting into so much student loan debt. Just the interest alone on his loan is more than the entire take home pay of the average American worker.
Anybody who got to see Michael Jackson was lucky though. But tell us more about the Taylor swift concert craze bc personally never understood it.
Man I was in 3000$ of debt and I thought that was super bad at the time now that I see what kinda insane financial situations people find themselves in im just happy I didn't keep spending above my pay

at age 32, I have paid off 1 mortgage, 1 student loan, and couple of personal loans....... it is alright to use financing but have a plan to pay it back instead of rolling negative equity ..... jesus
I only owe 2k for two phones that I’m gonna get paid out fully before the end of 2025 and then after I graduate nursing school ( praying ) I’ll start Paying that off in 6 months after graduation but that’s not until 2026-27
