On April 21, 2023 Volkswagen Group and PowerCo SE came together with representatives from St. Thomas, Ontario, and the Government of Canada to announce exciting details of its first ever North American EV battery cell gigafactory. _This is great. Thank you. More please. And next let's build manufacturing that relies less on our natural material resources, and more on our brainpower resources. So many brilliant, innovative, hardworking minds in Canada eagerly looking for a chance to make us a true world leader...not in the sense that politicians use the word, but real technology leaders. Dear federal government: Stop the bickering in the house of commons. Instead, use the effort break up the cartels and cliques that are unfairly hindering all those immigrants we brought in from working to their full potential. Stop telling them that all their 30 years of experience count for nothing in Canada and they have to go back to school at the age of 45 and start from scratch, when they have just as much knowledge and qualification as our own local graduated professionals (I'm especially looking at you, medical professionals!). This is what the federal government should be focused on. Not on foisting gender education on resentful kids in schools and "safe" injection sites._
