I've read all the comments and everybody picked up on 1. the wrong wine, 2. the wrong year, 3. the decant was too fast and violent for a delicate wine, 4. and a 5 year old cork will present few problems, A proper 30-45 year old Bordeaux will take much more care, 5. and the taste pour for the host was too heavy. Back to school for this newby.
Guys relax - this is obviously a demo video demonstrating text book service - often needed to pass official CMS exams - and therefore assume that wine/vintage is the correct one - no one's opening the actual estournel 05 for a demo video.
This was a nice idea, but really poorly executed. To decant a 2005 Estournel, i would initially loosen the cork with those forked prongey things - its late, i forget what its called - i certainly wouldnt just thrust a spiral screw through what may well be a pretty decrepit cork. There's every chance youre filling the bottle with multiple shards of cork! Clearly, if you're actually opening a 2018 bog-standard Bordeaux, this doesn't apply.
The clockwise movement around the table is ridiculous in this situation

Really useful 👍
Not a 2005 cos d’estournel.

No smelling or tasting the wine before decanting?
Wrong bottle of wine?
LOL she does look pissed when he puts the bottle on the table, this ain't no 2005 Cos d'Estournel, lol..
She ordered 2005 and got a 2018 and wrong chateau, look at her face when the bottle is placed on the table, she must have felt terrible.
It's a demonstration video, obviously they're not going to actually use the expensive Bordeaux she ordered
And no washing decanter.

can i speak to your manager please. i ordered a 2005 bottle this olive guardian bimbo server gave me a 2018.
This is awful! Surely an MS should be able to talk about this process without the awkward reading from cues, which he struggles with anyway.
