Hi, Elliot. I'm from Germany. We have the same traditions as you told us. But in more rural areas we have an additional one: easter fire. Almost every city or village has one or more - privat and public. Big bonfires where we meet with friends and strangers. Mostly on Saturday or Sunday evening. Drinking beer and mulled wine. Sometimes there is a barbecue too. It's almost a nice atmosphere.
Hey, I am a german student. My englisch teacher wants that my Classmates and I watch this video. I know my englisch is not good. By the way I have fallen in love with your accent. Your Video helps me alot.
I love Easter !!! It's my favorite holiday!!! In Serbia we fast for 7 weeks( we practicly eat like vegans for 7 weeks). We are very happy to eat meat again on Easter sunday;)) Also we prepare eggs, real eggs not chocolate ones, and we paint them( mostly just in red ,symbol of Christ' s blood, but also other colours)... we also have cakes, mayonase salads ,rosted pork and other delicaced ;)))
I m from Italy, most Italians take the opportunity to celebrate the day of Easter, on Sunday, gathering with their families regardless of wheather they are catholic or not and have lunch with lot of food, and at the end of the lunch we usually eat the Easter egg or we usually eat a tipical Italian sweet called the easter cake with chocolate. The Easter Monday Italians usualy take a trip in a sea resort, visit a city, go to parks, they usaully spend the Easter's Monday outdoors since the spring has come.
Your accent is so beautiful! I'm from Brazil and I'm trying to improve my british accent, and your videos has been so useful for me; thank you for your great work on your channel
I definitely have a sweet tooth, too! In Serbia there's a tradition to colour eggs (real eggs, not chocolate ones) while they're being boiled on Friday, and then eat them on Sunday during a family lunch. 😃 I'm a new subscribers and I've been loving the channel! It's been a real revelation! Thank you! 😊 Much love! 💕
Hi! I do celebrate Easter in the religious aspect. We are Catholic. Very interesting and useful your explanations. I really enjoy and learn a lot from your classes. (Please, if I make any mistake writing, could you please be so kind to let me know?) Thank you.
Thank you very much Elliott, your explanations are always very clear. I need to tell you: I love ❤ the tone of your voice, in my opinion you could also be a radio speaker (in addition to an excellent teacher). Happy Easter! 🐇
Since I found your channel and been using your techniques people keep saying "wow you're so British" which is like the biggest compliment for me. So I just wanted to say thank you for that and keep up the good work! ❤
Have a good Easter! In Brazil we have the Easter egg and bunny for children too. I love the food coma lol that's what will happens to me after a Easter feast. Lol! That's been funny! Byeee
I'm studying to become a translator (english-spanish) and I have a subject called Phonology, you've really helped me pass that subject, thank you and keep up the good content :)
Hello Eliot. I'm pretty thankful for your English courses you really help us and enjoy the weekend, in this side we all are waiting for you the next video.. Cheers 👌

Hey there Elliott!! In Greece we usually paint eggs red and make cookies and on Easter Sunday we skewer lamb and eat it along with friends and family..
Hi Elliott. Here in France we do like what you have just explained. we also hide chocolate eggs in the garden (when we have one) and the children look for them. It's very funny To see them running and searching...🐰🐇🥚🥚thanks for sharing and Have a good Easter weekend 🤗
I BLOODY love your videos, Elliot!!! It is interesting to know more about the british culture and at the same time, to learn english.... Congratulations!!! :)
I am from Colombia, here we do not celebrate the Easter, but I think that is very interesting and a great holiday. Thank you very much for this video that you gave us.
I'm chocoholic. I wanted to say that I've learnt a lot from you , you're a great teacher. and here in Egypt is a little different ,families go out for a picnic and eat a special kind of fish also we don't have the idea of the bunny giving children chocolate eggs and maybe some people paint the eggs , draw on them and put them in a basket I think .
Hey, Elliot! Mate, I love your videos so much, but you don't upload many videos very often. You should record some videos. I can assure you that we all learn so much pronunciation with them. Maybe longer videos? Thanks for all, you're a legend, you always smash it.
Thanks very much mate! I release a UA-cam video every Thursday 🙂 at the moment, that’s the best I can manage. I have over 58 lessons, which are 30+ minutes long in my pronunciation course at www.etjenglish.com if you are looking for more pronunciation 🙂
Yes, I am. Because chocolate could decrease my stress, to be honest. Feeling better when I consume chocolate. That's way, I am a chocoholic. Thank you Eliot, honestly, I do love your accent. Additionally, I am learning the pronunciation through your youtube channel for enhancing my speak in English. Thanks ever so much. Hopefully, I could join your online class the soonest possible. I am Sams, by the way. I derive from Indonesia.
I am not chocoholic but I really enjoy it. In my country there is a lot of tradicional food for this holy week but the most important is the"fanesca", it is type of soup with 12 grains and fish. Delicious!! ;-) I am from Ecuador!
Here in Argentina usually families meet on Sunday to have an 'asado' which is like a barbecue. We also have easter eggs. Happy easter Elliot! Don't get in a food coma!
I have sweet tooth, so I enjoy this tradition of preparing many cakes or buying different sweets on Easter very much. Before the Easter's breakfast we have two days of fasting. And the second day of Easter is called "wet Monday" because children pour water on each other.
Hi Elliot. My Easter basket is empty 😦. I dont expect a roast dinner neither an easter bunny 🐇 to help. I'm a candyhollic but still expect no help. No Easter weekend here but we love learning about your culture just as we do for language learning. You are the super coach of it all. Thx
In Venezuela Easter means going to church. Even those who don't go to church the rest of the year do it religiously during Easter, mostly on Thursday and on Friday. People eat fish instead of meat. Others prefer going to the beach.
I’m from Belarus. We usually dye eggs and bake cakes named Easter) We give eggs, cakes and different foods to sanctify. And we go to church, stay there all night. It is a church service)
i have a sweet tooth too haha. i don't celebrate EASTER because of my religion but as u said it's so important to spend time with our families, spread love & of course eat a lottt of food😹✌. at the end, Thank u so much i really loved the video!! have a wonderful Easter! 🌷
I really enjoy celebrating these holidays related to food, I like to cook some vegetables, chicken and pies, confess that I'm chocoholic though. This can't be lacking in my Easter and other days as well
Regards from India I'm a chocoholic Here it's mondy Thursday today and tomorrow we have good Friday and then holy Saturday and finally Easter Wish yu happy Easter
Thanks for a good lesson, Elliott! I’m a chocoholic too and I wish in Russia we exchanged chocolate eggs like in Britain 😫😫 Our tradition is to colour real chicken eggs, boil them and you should “have a fight” on eggs, so you take a boiled egg and beat another one of your relative (or friend) and see which is going to crack first 😅😅 And also we have a special Easter cake “Kulich”. It’s a sponge cake with raisins or candied fruits. And we have a desert made of cottage cheese also with raisins and sometimes with chocolate chips. Also some people go to the church and have their eggs blessed with “holy” water from the church by a priest. As you know the majority of people in Russia are Christians so it’s all religious stuff ) Hope my little story about Easter was interesting 😂
It doesn't exist this religious celebration in my country " Colombia", but the idea in eating many chocolate is wonderful 👌. ETJ thanks a lot for this video, I've watched other English British teachers on UA-cam, but you are the best.
I have fallen in love with your accent.
I realize I'm kind of off topic but does anybody know a good place to watch new movies online?
@Gerardo Romeo i would suggest FlixZone. Just search on google for it =)
