Chinatsu probably decided last minute to stay in Japan because of what Taiki brought up about losing nationals, meaning Taiki's mom wasn't updated on the Chinatsu's decision until a little later, since we jumped to Sunday. I think y’all missed a few subtle things. She knew his name the first time because his mum embroidered his name onto his scarf. That’s why she says ‘ii okaasan’ and he gets embarrassed after she walked in. Secondly, I don’t think her staying with him was finalised which is why his mum didn’t mention it and Chinatsu herself didn’t say anything (she didn’t know lol) . She tells him in the gym that she had already decided to leave till he reminded her of junior high. So her staying with them was a probably a rush job hence the mum trying to tell him the day before and Chinatsu probably finding it was his house similarly. On a slight tangent, Lupa playing find the blue box the entire episode killed me lmaao. Can’t wait for the rest of the season
The title Blue Box refers to the kanji Ao that means blue (青) which happen to be the first character for Seishun that meaning youth (青春). The kanji 青春 = Seishun = Youth can also be read as Aoi Haru/Aoharu that means Blue Spring which Japanese refer as the best time of life or the phase of being young or youth phase. Was equally excited for a potential anime. Crazy to believe that they both released at right about the same time, and both are looking absolutely amazing.
