Hundreds audition, but only a select group will secure spots in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders training camp. DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell oversee the intense audition process and decide which hopefuls will make the team.
My opinion...Meredith has “Pretty Privilege”. As seen on this show...it’s a REAL thing.

Angelique : Do you know why Kitty left? IMO, good riddance, I did not like the way she humiliated the gals. One can be tough with constructive criticism. Kelly understands how to do this. She tells the ladies exactly what she sees as weaknesses and the consequences if no improvement.

Meredith literally had about 1000 lives in this season I felt so bad for some of the others ☹️
Literally. If anyone else struggled for as long as she did they would have been gone. i can’t believe they cut so many other people just to keep her.
Meredith struggled every single rehearsal, they gave her extra help, she still struggled, and they STILL LET HER ON THE TEAM. Kelli and Judy have never given that much special attention or put so much work into molding a candidate like that.
Yep no worries.. she was the first veteran to be cut off during training camp in season 15.
@@dmazrianahshe should have never made the team tho, they lowered their standards for her. Her then bf now husband knew the Jones family and that’s the only reason she was kept
It really does make one wonder who Meredith's connections are. What a hot mess and how discouraging for the other girls who were better and got sent home. Lots if us out here with some dance background can see right through this. At least her pay scale will be appropriate.
Susan Jensen in another comment thread people were saying her boyfriend is good friends with the DC owners and her family has big connections (knows George bush) which makes sense

i'm so confused with meredith. they litterally said "meredith has some moments", "this is the first time she's looked like she fighting for it"....WHAT?! some of these girls have been fighting for it since they were little. and i haven't seen any other girl get private lessons from DCC like she did.
Many have done in previous seasons actually, maddie got private lessons
I know I’m SUUUUPER late but I totally agree like wtf? They cut girls because they didn’t like that their kicks weren’t as high as others and MULTIPLE people told them meredith was a no but they still kept her? That was a genuine miracle I have no idea how that happened or if they were just feeling nice

A former dccs lawsuit went through and now they get 400/ game and 12/hr for rehearsals
That’s good but I doubt these girls will ever be adequately compensated since the demand for the position is so high.
@@googleruinedyoutube5512 u ain't lying. I personally don't get it. Loving dance, sure, but the combos they perform don't even require much skill. It's a shame the choreographers don't push it more

I haven't watched any full episodes or whatever, just these clips, but I feel Meredith gets way too many second chances compared to the others. I think its better to actually be able know and remember a routine than be clean on the first few tries bcs you can always clean a routine if it's looking sloppy at practice. Even on my highschool dance team, it would be such a waste of time to make sure ONE girl even remembers the choreography, even if she is a good dancer.

It's because of what happened with Malina/Malena (idk how to spell her name). They don't want to go through that again. She scared them when she had a meltdown in front of them and so Kelli has distanced herself away from the girls and is cutting them early on to ease their suffering. I hate that she is so seemingly cold about it this year, because I love when we can see her heart and her compassion for the girls, but things changed when Melena/Malina (whatever lol) did what she did. She kinda ruined it for everyone else.

J Mac Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too. Cutting Malena for them was probably super hard and awkward with how she reacted so now they’re super quick just to get it over with without investing so much emotions as prior seasons.

If you notice every single guest choreographer has said strong no for merideth but for some reason they keep her and the add private sessions to get her where she is supposed to be they give her too much special treatment
In a weird way, I'm actually ok with Meredith making it because it reflects reality. There are always a very few people who pass the job interview due to some other reason and not merit. It even happens at my company and I'm pissed about that too.

I really think they chose Meredith because of her look! I remember Kelly cutting someone earlier on for having “moments,” and lacking consistency. By DCC standards, she really shouldn’t have made the team, but I’m glad she did-She’s stunning!!!

I could hardly get through the part of this episode with the veterans. My father lives in the VA home Vietnam veteran with two purple hearts A bronze and Silverstar. Seeing the girls go there to make the smiles and take there minds off where they are is everything to me and was very difficult to watch with out crying. I have 3 older brothers I’m the only girl my dad was a football coach for my brothers and our local youth program my entire young life. I was the cheerleader/gymnast and He knew how hard I worked and often said I was more talented and worked harder then his teams and my brother. He always made me feel proud and knew how unfortunately the world doesn’t always give the same credit. My dad would have loved to see the girls and would have known just want to say to make the feel like should be proud of themselves for being some of best athletes on the planet!

Meredith just isn't a good fit for this team. I doubt she will ever get the DCC style.
For everyone complaining about Meredith it’s not just about her being pretty it’s also because her boyfriend is friends with cowboys management and he threatened Kelli and Judy if they didn’t push her through. So yes all the calls on Meredith are complete bull shit it’s so sad. In DCC sometimes it’s just about who you know also her family is apparently rich with political ties. Meredith is the absolute worst.

They say that Meridith is classically trained, and that's why she can't do the moves, but I was classically trained for 5 years and i tried hip hop for the first time and it's not as hard as what Meredith makes it look lol

Kelly said that Alexandra was not being recognized by the invited choreographers. However, LaDonna did recognized her and she was not a definite no compared to Meredith. Yet, Alexandra was cut and not Meredith!!!

Exactly! Most are only called into the office once, to be cut. M had like 8 office visits and no stickers on her picture.
Meredith was kept on the team because of the fact she is a strong skilled classical dancer and they were hoping that would transfer on over to the ddc style. Unfortunately, it didn't and that is why she was cut in her first veteran year. She's a sweet girl who I hope pursues opportunities that allow her to show off her talented strengths and spirit her to stay true to who she actually is.

@@66hoodwitch All the girls are really pretty, all of them were trying their best, all of them have some skill or they wouldn't have made it so far, and pretty much all of them have potential to be on the team. Meredith isn't special, she takes longer to learn choreography and she can be sloppy sometimes and she kept getting second chances why all the other girls who had similar problems or less issues got cut. I'm happy she got on the team, it must have been a great feeling after all the stress, but still....
Alisea . . Yes I agree that all the girls are gorgeous but no one said that Meredith is special and you know what learning choreography on the spot it’s hard it’s very hard they learn probably in 30 minutes and run through it 2 times and then show Kelli and Judy
Yeah I’m not trying out for the team but Kelli and Judy cut girls who were performing better than Meredith. I don’t need to be a dancer to know that she was missing steps and lagging behind everyone lol you can see that just by watching these clips. They’ve literally cut girls for struggling at 2 rehearsals but Meredith wasn’t performing well all the way up until they announced the team.
CMT who is on your editing and camera work? It’s extremely sloppy. You can do so much better.
Meredith should’ve never been invited to perform, there were so many other girls who could’ve brought power to that routine. She’s just too soft for DCC, I’m relieved they finally let her go.

If I did Meradith at her best at an audition I would not have made even made it into the semi-finals. (I’m talking about college dance, but still!)

Meredith is a beautiful girl BUT she NEVER had the DCC style of dancing. She is graceful, slow and beautiful. She never had that fast, punched and move it style. They knew that but it was good for the show. Why Melissa Rycroft is the Showmanship Coach i will never know. She had loads of problems the first year and ended up only being 2 years as a cheerleader if my memory serves me right. I know she was in Dancing for the Stars and was in the Bachelor and ended up being the only girl that the bachelor proposed to and then embarrassed her on tv taking the ring back to propose to the other woman, which seems to be a blessing to both of them because they both found partners they have been with for years but I don't feel that she is that experienced to be a coach. The people she helped ended up being cut from the show anyways.

Meredith had to have been sleeping with someone who has influence over the cheerleading team in order for her to have lasted that long. They got her soooo much extra help when she's should've just kicked her out way sooner

There are Vets that have been there longer, shes on her 3rd year. I think she will get it next year.
They had questions her rookie year about how she was getting on with the other dcc’s, as she wasn’t bonding and others reported her being competitive and patronising... but she’s second leader this year to Tess’ group (4) so who knows, maybe they’re giving her a shot and seeing how she measures up!

Pretty privilege is real. It’s sounds terrible but I’ve always said if I HAD to pick between my kids being really smart and being really pretty I’d pick pretty. It’s the world we live in. Case in point my sister is gorgeous she’s done modeling and NFL cheering but she barely graduated high school. She just really struggles with school work. Conversely, my sister-in-law has struggled with obesity since she was a child, but even if she were a healthy weight she just isn’t very pretty (it’s mean but true) however, she is in Mensa with an extremely high IQ, was accepted into every Ivy League she applied for and has multiple college degrees. But now that they’re older my sister is a stay at home mom with a decent looking husband that makes good money. Her home is beautiful she drives an Escalade (But almost every year gets something new because she gets bored with it) and wants for nothing. My sister-in-law has never been married, has all kinds of medical problems from being so over weight her whole life and lives with her cats in a tiny house in a not so nice area. But the bottom line is my sister is happy with her life and my SIL isn’t.
