- The Schmidt-Burnham log house, as near as anyone can tell, dates to 1837 and ranks as the oldest log structure in Cook County.
The home originally stood on the site of what's now the Indian Hill Club. It was subsequently moved to Tower Rd and several years ago to its current site just west of the Crow Island School.
