Just returned from the Platinum , Ghan rail trip to Darwin.
Respectively, it was not worth the high price tag for 3 days.
Essentially, 2 half days and one full day. There is a great need for a refurbishment of all carriages and dining areas. It looked very tired and seating in carriages, uncomfortable .
The food was cold, and the choices were limited. If you don't eat fish, curry, or tofu, you were otta luck.
Star rating none.
For the most expensive train trip I was sadly disappointed.
And I would not recommend this product as a seasoned traveller . That amount of money would get you overseas business class and every thing else for a month.
