What's wrong with a weed wacker?
Some men, you just can’t reach,
@@wranglerstar Someone has never had the joy of setting something on fire!
Cody shares valuable knowledge from the USFS which is much appreciated and the majority of his videos speak nothing of the USFS. Your comment makes no sense @@mommytsunami
Or brush mower. He has everything to pull one. It will just grow back twice as fast. I know. Fire is fun for some.
@@Shiba1A1128 That's fine. When it grows back, it grows back green and makes poor fuel. Fire is a normal part of the natural world but we've been taught to fear it if it's not being used for making smores or burning construction scraps.
I get the part at the end. Watching the boys you taught complete a project on their own. Letting them use the knowledge you passed on to them while learning from doing. All the while just watching the process of boys becoming men. Hats off sir
Appreciating the amount of camera angles and setup spent on this. Just getting the drip torch must have taken time.
Nobody is doing it quite like Wranglerstar, no doubt about it
Absolutely. Very enjoyable video.
"Oh, my torch is on fire. Goodness, I don't think that is recommended." Thanks for showing the mistakes / miss-placed fires along with the successes in your videos.
Thanks for watching!
did not take him long to look at it!
@@westtexasprepper someone's been around a while, not heard that anecdote in a while 😅
@@kingconcookie Just a few years!
"Who knows what applications could be useful in the coming struggle" wise words
When this nation was a kingdom and not a corporation controlled burns where year round. You cannot have a successful ecosystem without this.
Mr Cody
In my mid 20s I gave up working weekends to help my dad build a conservatory. I needed the weekend work as I had a kid on the way, but he's my Dad!
I never asked for a penny and never got one. Now he's retired, he has done so much for us and our home - he's ProHo, I'm still Learning!
Love you channel buddy, God Bless 👍
The community needs this information! Thank you for sharing; life is so fulfilling when you’re working with your hands
An excellent premier last night.
The prescribed burns are such an integral part of the farming tool set, but ask any city goer and they only think of fire as dangerous and destructive.
This video is something you can look back on later in life. This is a very special video. Hard work, providing protection from outside forces, taking precautions for the family, leading by example, being the kind of man this world needs. What an inspiration and blessing you have been.
One of the best channels to ever use this platform and its not even close.
Thank you beloved,
I will second that TRUTH!!!
Mad respect for you Wranglerstar 🙏👊
It really is a beautiful part of the world. It landscape brings peace and calm to the soul.
Fantastic cinematography!
Glad you enjoyed it
Skillful, experienced, conscientious.
Working on the golf course teaches you to light the opposite side of the wind at your leaf pile...burns like a classic Marlboro.
Really great videos of late Cody. I learn so many things about different subjects when I watch your videos.
Thank you Cody.
Love that tent!
Looks like that river is ripping!
Cody, having watched you since I was... 8? 10? Somewhere in there, anyway- having grown into a young man now whilst watching your stuff, it pleases me immensely to see your videos reflect more of what your classic, original Wranglerstar videos were. I'm stoked that you're doing more of what you love, and less of what the algorithm demands. Keep it up.
All the best from my side of the river to yours.
"My torch is on fire!" Now that statement has many applications. We shall keep it in context. 🤣🤣
Love this guy and his family! Professional! They used to call it OCD! 😅
I really agree with staying close to those metaphors. Real-life experiences drive the truth home.
Now this is the wranglerstar content that gives me the fizz
That is an awesome view at your gates.
Camera is always on point! If it is already burned, it won’t burn! I can’t wait to see the completed shop!
Glad this got uploaded again, I was bummed last night.
My brother and I enjoy your videos. Your are like the Bob Ross of tools and home repair
Noticed last night it was posted. Went to watch... set to private, glad you fixed it.
You keep saying a prescribed burn... I've never heard that before, controlled burn, yes. Is that a Westcoast Man thing?
Nice seeing you prepared to extinguish a runaway. When i was a younger man, neighbor did a controlled burn on some ditch banks... got his own house and if not for my father running a disk on the tractor in a close field, they would have lost the cows as well.
Put some asparagus in the ditch, burn it before the spears come up.. easy pickings.
Technically they are pretty much the same. Prescribed burns refer to burning wildland fuels for land management, whereas a controlled burn is ANY burn that is controlled. So all prescribed burns are controlled burns but not all controlled burns are prescribed burns. For example, you can donate your house to the fire department for training (in some areas) and when they burn it down for training purposes, it will be a controlled burn (don't want to burn down the neighbors), but it will not be a prescribed burn.
The fuel spills get me every time xD
My late father had worked for the refuge near where he grew up before I came along & it was common to do "proscribed" burns within the refuge, anyhoo, I was raised to never burn in windy conditions, or when the smoke blows horizontally.
A great video! I like your method in burning towards the breeze!
Proscribed burns
@@sydneyevans2637 Thanks!
An embarrassing mistake. 😑
I did a burn yesterday for a fence im installing. I love doing a burn in nice weather. Great way to spend a day.
Spectacular video. Best yet, Cody. Thank you!
I’m an old animal science major from college. We did a proscribed burn for a range class at the school ranch. West Texas is a bit more difficult to successfully do a burn in than the rain forests up there.
i could watch this all day
Awesome video production Cody.
I use to do controlled burns in Wisconsin for the conservation core. I July recommend young men try to join something similar like americorps or atleast offer time with habitat for humanity it was a big experience for me as an only child raised by a single mother. She was always supportive of me being in the programs to better my life and learn skills beyond highschool
Good laugh at 4:34 I've been watching for years. Great video as always! That view of the mountain is amazing and never gets old I'm sure.
I know nothing about wild fires etc., but I’m just wondering from my position of pure ignorance and curiosity: since this fence is up against a road, if the road doesn’t interrupt a creeping fire, how would this strip of burnt grass be more effective? Obviously that wouldn’t apply to the fences not near roads. Thanks in advance for helping me expand my understanding!
I expected you to direct your crew to remove the bullnoses from those boards
Thats a pretty proud moment to stand back at the end of it and watch jack
Thanks for yet another great video . Good tip on the wind direction Thank You !!
Sitting here at lunch that was an enjoyable video. Thank you for a change of pace.
Your standing back with admiration of your son becoming a man and showing some of the skills you taught him was noticed. You’ve done well, sir.
I just noticed a boy with hands in his pockets watching the servant work?
Great video, love it!
You're a blessed man Cody. You've worked hard for what you have, and God has blessed you both besides and because of your labor. You are reaping what you've sowed and stand as an example to many. It may seem like you're not getting through to people but take heart, you are.
God bless you and your wonderful family sir and thank you for all you do! Keep up the great work!! 🙏✝
Unbelievable views you inspire me to build up my homestead
Good morning . Great episode. Bless you and your family sir
God bless your family.
Amazing work by your cameraman. Always in the right place, recording your arrival.
I’ve watched this each time you’ve uploaded it.
Some sort of conical shaped ramp for liquids is needed to save all that diesel hitting the dirt. 🤔
Next up is to get the fire in the ditch before irrigation comes
This would be a good one. I imagine it lets the water flow easier and clogs less culverts down wind with junk.
Right On Brother
Amazing content
Nice working family
Lovely views you folks have.
That river is really flowin!
Cool glad to see it back!! Good morning brother. Dang its cold here today in Walla Walla Washington!! My wife got us to move here from South Carolina. Think I am going back! Just kidding happy its not 90+ and 90% + Humidity. Mom tells me its all ready been over 95f in SC. Thanks for sharing. God Bless
Glad to see he's back in shoes.
Also, Mrs. W. Is the best.
I love the T and G in the shop,
You have a beautiful place. I hope to have something like this in the future.
Wranglerstar thinks funnels, like straws, are Ghey. 😂
It's cool seeing the perscribed burns. The grass is the only thing flaming.
Another excellent video
Loved the Tobey cameo
West coat man goes barefoot when prescribed burning. Connect with embers.
That is quite the view if the mountain
Man you have the coolest stuff
That spill tho... 😅
Love you boss
The lord has truly blessed you and your. Thank you for sharing that the dream is still possible. Good luck from Wyoming
Multi tasking at its finest! Fill the drip torch with diesel and rust proof the fire trailer at the same time!
Did you fight the fires in Yellowstone in the 80s? My father did and spoke about it often growing up. I’ve always enjoyed a good prescribed burn over the years, great video!
Setting up for mobile firefighting operations was a great idea
That grade tongue and groove to line a structure floor to high ceiling is very ‘extravagant’
Did you win the lottery?
great video, calming and relaxing :) thank you sir :) greetings from Norway
Every time you say beloved I think it's the opening of that song Mr. Boombastic
I love this channel i learn a lot thanks mr. And mrs. Wranglerstar.
Glad you like them!
@wranglerstar been watching for around 7 years or so and he has been a pretty big teacher in my life crazy that you tube has come that far to take over. Keep it up and sending love and prayers to your family. 🙌🏻🙏🏻
Those walls will look great.
Midwestern man was taught at an early age that burning the fence row will damage the fence. It will rust now greatly reducing it's life span.
Midwestern Man? Who that?
@@wranglerstar Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Illinois. The fly over states. East central Indiana native here. Although my family would burn the fence row, I was made aware that it will burn off the galvanized coating.
I sure do appreciate all the time you spend setting up all your shots. For the most part it looks like every job you do you end up walking the whole job about eight more times than you normally would have to just to move cameras around. That sequence of you going to and from the tent was a bunch of set up. Most people go to the tent to grab something take 4 1/2 minutes. Takes PROhO an hour and a half. Just wanted you to know your efforts were appreciated, Always such a beautiful composition. Tell Mrs. wrangler star we miss her presence in the videos. It’s always nice to see your slip in for a second.
Great video appreciate the time and effort sir :) ❤💯🙏
I do this in my yard all the time. What I do is I take a hoe or shovel and make a break in the vegetation so the fire is contained and also pay attention to the moisture content not to dry not too wet just perfect. And I usually do it before it rains. Pay attention you'll learn a lot from the fire and how it reacts trust me it wants to work with you. Cheers
Beloved
Very nice video
Poured that gas, like a pro 😂
For the love of a Funnel!!!
Watched yesterday, then poof, it was gone! LOL Did not take him long to look at that hot torch!
living my dream life brother
Very cool portable fire fighting rig, would appreciate more information on it
First! Love the videos!!
3rd 😂
That was a good wave ;p your gettinn it
you have a great family, your riches are far beyond wealth alone
Your back to your old self good work 😊 peace of the Lord
I would like to see a video on the preventive maintenance of the wall tent
I prefer pouring fuel with canister sideways, so fuel doesnt spit as it gets air and not making a mess😊
“My torch is on fire.”
Exactly what you want and don’t want to hear.
Another great instructional video complete with a scenic view as well as accompanying piano to set the tone. Nicely done Cody. Could you possible reveal the piano song for the rest of us curious listeners?
East coast man uses a wonderful piece of technology called a "funnel"! :)
