I have been in Teen Challenge for a year and just graduated on Sunday! I knew I wanted to learn this song as soon as I could get back on UA-cam thank you so much for these tutorials! I started leading worship with just 6 chords under my belt! I can't wait to get better at guitar 🎸 and the 🎹 God bless you!!!!
Thank you for doing this. I play acoustic, mostly fingerstyle, and there are not alot of worship songs done in this style. Having said that, I do have a suggestion that would make this ALOT more understandable. Tell your viewers that the thumb will always play strings 4,5, and 6 and other 3 fingers 1,2,3 . Then, when you explain and tell how you are playing, use string numbers. For example, instead of thumb, pointer, thumb, middle, it's 6 ,3, 4, 2...etc. this would REALLY unconfuse your video. Having said that, I'd love another video on fingerstyle worship.
Thanks for this, I've been trying to get back into picking. I used to be really good at it, but I took a long break from the guitar. So when I picked it up again to do worship at our little church plant from Covid, I forgot all the picking techniques and have pretty much just been strumming. I'll have to watch this a few times and your other picking lessons to get back into it. :) God bless
Great work but I cannot follow the second method. Trying to watch the video even at a slow speed looks like to sometime vary waht you do compared to what you say. Could you tab this out JUST for the G chord. Thanks. I just can't see it. Sorry.
Sorry I did not mean the second method. I actually meant when you added the extra note to the first method around 6:35. For myself this pattern is the closest to the original song. Thanks again.
Hi Garret, Merry Christmas! I just subscribed to your tutorials and I am working on 'Gratitude' by Brandon Lake. I've not used finger[icking before and I am trying to improve my skills as an acoustic guitarist. Late in life (I'm 73) but some experience. I picked up guitar at 17 years of age till 19 years of age, then, I put it down for 30 years, picking it back up in 1998 and playing ever since to a minor degree. Now I am in what our church calls 'Infuse.' I am being coached for placement on the worship team. I have improved dramatically (not my words, theirs). So I want to improve on what I have learned. Do you have a printed form/pattern with which I can better fingerpick the song 'Gratitude?'
I've been smashing my head against this track for 2 weeks Got my first ever Worship gig this Sunday This blessed me with a break through Man, I made it hard on myself!! 😂😂😂😂 Bless you Bless you Bless you
