This video could've probably used a disclaimer. There is so much GREAT vegan food out there. The general stigma attached to packaged vegan food (or "junk food") is that it won't be as good as stuff that contains dairy, but that isn't true at all (for example, Oreos, Nutterbutters, Uncle Eddie's Cookies, dark chocolate, potato chips etc.) We should've made that more clear. Hoping we haven't horribly offended all of our vegan viewers.
You haven't! But everyone should consider veganism. Meat eaters are the cause of over 50 animals on average a year. Also the meat industry causes more pollution than the transport industry
+Mornings with Pomplamoose Not personally offended- just realize that Nataly won due to foresight! Good vegan food is just food, bad vegan food is awful. It takes time (or research) to find the good stuff, but if you know where to look you can find junk food that fools anyone! This coming from someone who's tricked meat-eating family and friends into eating vegan going on 7 years. Love this channel by the way, keep 'em coming!
AHA! Closet Pentatonix fans!!! You *MUST* reach out to Kevin Olusola for a collaboration!!! Watch "Down (Marian Hill KOver) - Kevin Olusola" on UA-cam ua-cam.com/video/IGjg193h4Ok/v-deo.html
Man, I'm enjoying those so much! you guys have such a great vibe, I'm so sad those are not still a thing, but then, your music videos are kicking ass big time! Thank's for all you do!
Oh yes, there is nothing finer than watching Nataly spike a cookie and say "I TASTED THE COCONUT, MO FO ! Also Nataly googled 'surprisingly' vegan things. And i think maybe you, Jack, just googled 'vegan foods' (not surprisingly!) Get the little play on words there- eh? eh?
Recently vegan and I have discovered that it's much more about getting back to basics and eating things that are real and come from the earth, and that those things can often be more delicious. :) Avocados and good oils and chocolate and nuts and fresh veggies and whole grains, etc, etc, etc.
This was cute, but I don't like the idea of just turning Veganism into a game of "does this taste good, or does it taste vegan". There's a common misconception that being "Vegan" is just a dietary choice. But according to the Vegan Society "Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose." Situations like this (and in my experience, the word vegan in general) tend to make people focus on what THEY are giving up, as opposed to what is best for the animals and what creates the least suffering. I'm really really super mega happy that the topic is coming up more and more from non-vegans, promoting the idea that this is a real thing that people really care about. But I'd love to see a little more thought put into how/why veganism is brought up. "Man, this vegan cookie is delicious, AND it didn't require [as much] suffering of animals as that milk chocolate thingy" sends a better message than "I lost this game, so as punishment, I HAVE to eat all this yucky vegan stuff", IMO Regardless, I enjoy your content. Keep it up!
hey jack, i only know you from your awesome music and some of the new vlogs and i think youre quite a 'big thinker', very thoughtful, curious and positive, thats how you seem to me :) so i was thinking maybe you would want to look further into a vegan lifestyle, since its so much more than weird food replacements. Im convinced veganism is gonna change the world in terms of the environment, health and compassion for all beings :) if youre interested, i can hook you up with some information from people on youtube that are smarter than me ^^ love from germany
+Ruben Griffin OH MAN. Jack here. First of all, reading through the comments here I realize that I've made a mistake. So first of all, I'm sorry. Actually, legitimately sorry. It was never my intention to offend folks - and I just wasn't even thinking it could be a problem. Secondly - and this isn't meant to be an excuse, just an explanation - I have very little experience with vegan food. The vegan-labeled food I have tried in the past has usually been some kind of vegan version of non-vegan food, and it has tasted wildly different to me. If this video taught me anything, it's that my preconceived notions of what is and isn't vegan are 1) wrong, and 2) unfounded. In fact, the things I LIKED in this video were ALL VEGAN. And the things I didn't like were not. When something like that happens to me, it means that I probably have some illegitimate biases that are not worth carrying around anymore. Anyway, all that to say, I'm sorry for offending vegan folks, and my pre-conceptions about vegan food were clearly crunk. Thanks for watching and for the thoughtful comments.
+Mornings with Pomplamoose thanks for the kind response Jack! i didnt take any offense, since most vegans werent born vegan to begin with and i had similar thoughts towards vegan food products so i cant be 'angry' for reactions like yours. im glad the comments made you think about veganism some more and how much it means to some of us :) best wishes~
+Mornings with Pomplamoose I dunno, if anything it serves to highlight some incorrect assumptions without being a preachy 'shame on you' diatribe. I really enjoyed the video!
because we all know that anything vegan must automatically taste like shit right? (obvious sarcasm) I love you guys but Jacks dismissive attitude towards veganism is really dissappointing. You don't need animal products to make food taste good.
+Christian Kolborg ..just my opinion.. Jack;s brilliance is not in question as CEO and co-originator of Patreon. As a comedy team, I love the fact that his innocent excitement and Nataly whooping his ass with her quick wit is totally hilarious. So i don;t feel sorry for Jack at all. He and Nataly know exactly what they are doing. They are totally impromptu and totally entertaining.
As others said before, painful to watch you both speak about vegan food. Lots of stigma and lacks of knowledge. Surprising coming from you both, especially Jack who really thinks a lot like an open minded guy on his own channel. It's one thing to not know much about something, it's another to depict such a strong opinion about it.
This is my wheelhouse. I am a nutritional coach in my spare time when not making people beautiful in the salon. The key to good health is attempting to stay healthy for as many years as possible. I won't address the political issues, since that is not my bag. I have studied 1000's of hours in keeping healthy. I have traveled to 5 continents studying health among the different peoples. I heartily endorse one paradigm over all others, and I do not profit in this recommendation in any way. Check out "The Blue Zones." Dan Buettner did the research and wrote multiple excellent books on the subject. I have successfully transitioned others into this way of living, helping them change their dietary habits and learning to live a less stressful, more communal life. I have seen it work first-hand in several whom have come to me for free help. Actually, my profit has come in the creation of friends that I can socialize with and not have to worry about making sacrifices to my own health. A Vegan diet is better than the standard American sick diet, but it is still not optimum. A diet very high in vegetables, fruit, nuts, and seeds, should be supplemented with occasional animal proteins. Things like wild-caught salmon, sheep's feta, pecorino cheese, and even 100% grass-fed, organic meats are preferred about 2 to 4 times per month, usually in some form of festive meal. Cannonau wine can be consumed every day, preferably in a social setting at the end of the workday. Consistent exercise is vital as well. Simple walking at a nice pace and with some inclines is excellent. If you can spare 1 hour a day walking, go 30 minutes away from where you started and then reverse your course, or better yet, hike with friends. Mountain hiking best replicates what Sardinian shepherds do daily in their work. Pomplamoose fans are obviously higher intelligent than the general population, so we should dedicate ourselves to living the maximum number of years and healthy years. Maybe one day, we will all move to Nicoya, Costa Rica and live together in a perfect world.
Love it when Nat swears and Jack gets shocked. Really cool channel!
+Bruno Grassi Haha. Yeah it's pretty great. Thanks for watching!
Glad this video taught you that vegan food isn't gross! Honestly- vegan food is just food. Even non-vegans eat 'vegan food'.

You obviously have *MUCH* better taste in Women than you do where food is concerned! (😉)
4:42 "I tasted that coconut oil motherf***ers!"

So there have been a number of contests now. What's the overall record?
I like how their scores complemented each other. Together they were 5/5! Perfect together. :D
Ok the best part of any of these videos is Nataly's cute-as-all-hell bleeps.
"I tasted that coconut oil, muthafuckas." Epic.
Somewhere out there lives Bizarro Jack, a vegan phlebotomist 80s music expert.

You guys are hilarious, make more of these tasting contests :)
What are your favorite desserts?
I recently had a Queen's delight - it was amazing.
This reminds me of that old saying... "Would you like to talk to the man in charge... or the woman who knows what's going on?" ☺
you all just rock!
and Jack, don't be a vegan,
Have fun!
be an OmnI! (omnivorous...)
I just want to say that I loooove you guys. You are funny and cute and you make my day, thank you
hey pomplamoose. just wanted to ask like whats the time limit to you replying to these comments?
that was the 2nd video where you confused the score.
great video overall.
mostly bcause you guys are great
5:35... the evil laugh...
What's up with Nat's eyes in the thumbnail? Is the hulk vegan or something?

I like the show, but now I m here to check the offended vegans
Jack maybe you need a break from competitions for a while?
+mthielssalvo Agreed, really enjoy the show, but I maybe they should save some competitions for later

Wow, a potatoe chip that has bacon on it's label yet qualifies as vegan. Kind of a sad commentary on our modern foods. Great show though! Thanks!!
