Ivan I'm really glad to hear you say this. I have been disregarding people who advise me to stop telling my dog no. I say it in a manner that means "no, that's not what I'm asking of you, try again". To me there's a huge difference between a punitive tone of voice or an aggravated tone of voice and an informational statement.
To hear Susan Garrett talk about this, you would be saying "No" then whacking the dog over the head with a shovel. Or grinding their head into the dust. That's how she justifies how illogical it is not to tell the dog when they're wrong. It just makes sense to double the speed of learning so the dog can get double the rewards. And you do NOT have to do this by frying the dog with an ecollar on its highest level.
I don't know how this conversation came about, but Ivan is talking about pure logic.
