I would love to see your reaction to "The Taste of Ink" their big song, and for something newer I would recommend Blow Me (Feturing Jason Aalon Butler from Fever 333) its super heavy towards the end. It's from their latest album Heartwork, totally different from this era of their music. Most of their albums were produced by John Feldmann, who discovered them and Good Charlotte in the early 2000s. He is the singer from Goldfinger, and produced Sleeping with Sirens, One OK Rock (my favorite band personally, HIGHLY recommend), 5 Seconds of Summer, All Time Low (latest album), and most recently he is in the studio with AVRIL LAVIGNE. Very excited for that album, she posted pics of her, her boyfriend Mod Sun, MGK, and John Feldmann together in the studio. Mod and MGK go back several years. Its this whole ecosystem of how pop punk was really relevant from like 1999-2006/7 and now its fully coming back through help of John Feldmann and Travis Barker.

Also from transformers 2 soundtrack theres a band on there call Armor For Sleep they made an album called What To Do When Your Dead ... the whole album is one long story about a man who kills himself cause of a girl and then he follows her around as a ghost ... my suggestion is to check it out is quite amazing
This band makes 90% of bands look like garbage. The fact is post hardcore/screamo is some of the best music since early grunge. Remember, this is what created Falling in Reverse and All Time Low...I had a Used sticker on my brand new car in 2002... before those bands were a speck in the eye of music.

I remember when this album came out. I wasn't too big into the genre of emo but this album was seriously good and still holds up today. The first two albums by the band Thursday were really good too. They were from the same genre and time period.
It's a song about being in a relationship that is so bad that he is either drunk all the time (I guess it's ok I puked the day away) or completely emotionally detached (I felt for the day that I had my own time).
Half correct you're completely right in that it's a relationship but it's a relationship with a narcotic after almost dieing ( false alarm red flashing lights .. well this time not going to watch myself die ) And he's going through withdraws puking the day away if you want me back you're going to have to ask nicer than that Then overcoming his addiction. ( My foot on your neck I finally have you right where I want you ) So many songs on this album have to deal with meth addiction and going through rehabilitation ( blue and yellow , who's opening line is "it's all in how you mix the two") Obviously box of sharp objects aswell If you know this is what burt was going throw immediately before this album released and listen from that perspective it all kinda of clicks into place
The used and MCR were good friends MCR even did a track on there second album with Bert (the singer of the used) called you know what they do to guys like us in prison but they seem to have had a falling out the used never say a line in there song take it away that talks about a chemical romance

The guitar part is so fun to play. You hover your right pointer over the 12th fret while fingering the frets on 5 to 7 ect on the a and d strings. I've never come across a song with similar play styles except for maybe chon or Polyphia

Absolutely love the used! Especially the first three albums, incredible stuff that is such a time capsule for me! I also think they wrote some of the best tender, love songs of this genre of music! My chemical romance and the used actually collaborated on a cover of Under Pressure. It started as a live song they did on the taste of chaos tour and turned into a recorded song for tsunami relief.
You need to review this whole album, it's a masterpiece.
